Funny how similar Saren and the Illusive man actually are when you think about it. Both are ruthlessly seeking to establish their own race's dominance, based on xenophobia developed during the first contact war.

Ronniboyy Actually it was a bunch of other Turians that abducted him or took him as a Prisoner of War and did experiments because he had been exposed to a Prothean artifact.

And the Illusive man who was a human mercenary named Jack Harper during the First Contact War only had
A indirect contact with the relic when he tried to save his friend Ben Hislop from it. Thus receiving his trademark
Glowing blue eyes and knowledge of the reapers.
Sarens suicide is definitely my favourite moment of the first game... The emotion Bioware managed to convey was just astounding. I have a surround sound system so when that gun fired, and that dramatic music played it felt like I was actually there, definitely one of my favourite moments from the entire franchise... Just so epic...
For me its between that, the Normandy finishing off Sovereign at the end of the Citadel battle and meeting Sovereign on Virmire and talking to it

ME1 is flawed, yes. But goddamnit, Saren was one of the best villians of the series.

@@uliloolilu780 A lot of Velcor serve in the Blood Pack. If you recall from ME3, there is a series of missions for Aria T'Loak where the end result is she gets you mercenary troops from the Eclipse, Blue Suns, and yes, the Blood Pack. So, there would have been vorcha troops likely on the ground during the the battle for Earth. Likewise, as with the krogan, the vorcha have a regenerative ability.Combined with their ruthlessness, given proper leadership, the vorcha would definitely be a force to be reckoned with during a ground assault. Additionally, the volus have military units that serve as auxiliary units for the Turian military. Not as straight up bad ass as Turian infantry, but effective at what they do. Also, during ME3, there is information pertaining to the elcor and how they fight with giant guns strapped to their backs, and use a VI for targeting assistance. So, to answer your question "(What) TF they gonna do?" In all probability, a lot.

It's funny how people think the reapers 'force' meatbags to do their bidding, when they only 'influence', ever so slightly alter their way of thinking to be uniform with that of the reapers', to the point they become mindless thralls incapable of individual thinking.
If you think about it Saren is probably a prototype of the Marauder or the Marauder ever.
Drew Karpyshyn did a great job with his novels. Saren's motivations were so well fleshed out. He was a tragic figure and it was amazing.
Drew is fantastic at world building, and i really wish we could get the original ending that was supposed to end the trilogy
I bet those idiots in the council would have listened to Saren of he exposed Sovereign and the Reaper threat.
Please do a Lore video on the Second Contact war! The one between the Humans and Relentless waves of ravaging Elcor.
That conflict was so horrible I can't quite bring myself to speak of it.

I didn't know their was a second contact war with the elcor.
One minor story-arc I liked learning about were the League of One.
One that would be good would be a video on the dominant races that preceded the Protheans. I know there's not much (other than the Leviathans), but those could probably be combined into one video for that.

We're still missing in-depth videos on the cultures/histories of the 3 main council races. There's been a lot kind of hinted at, but I think deep looks at the Asari, Salarians and the Turians...their social structures, religions, evolution of their political systems, and events leading up to their discoveries of Mass Effect technology etc would all be really interesting. Also, Urdnot Wrex is one of the best characters from not only ME, but from pretty much any game I've ever played and I'd love to see some deep info on that guy. His banter in ME1 was the absolute best.

I want a lore episode on jack the experiments she's gone through , the origin of biotics , and perhaps a more in depth look on significant events in her life

You do a really good job at these, Iv always been that kinda person that likes detail in games and like I did last night I watched all of your vids learning about the different races, so interesting even tho it's not real!
The writers did a fantastic job with the backstory and foundation in Mass Effect.
I wish Saren would have returned in ME3 as Shepard's hallucination (with a hole in his head), who haunts Commander with futility of resistance against the Reapers, especially after Thessia.

I liked Saren as an antagonist. he was a shades of grey character in that he wasnt necessarily evil. his end goal was actually noble. he wanted to save organic life because he felt reaper destruction was inevitable and could not he stopped. I always like antagonist like that that are complex more than pantomime evil goons.
I may be the only one who wants to see this, but how about the Lawson family, and more specifically Miranda leaving her father with Oriana, joining Cerberus, and then everything that happens with Sheppard and after Cerberus?

It would be interesting to have a video on all the small aliens who don't play much part in the story of mass effect (and some of which we never see) because some of their stories are fascinating, such as the virtual aliens and the Raloi. might be fun to think about how and if they might be in ME Andromeda

Could quarians be the topic of one of your videos? We don't see much of them during the first two games, except Tali, and their culture is pretty much left in darkness. It would be interesting to see what kind of life the quarians live and/or have lived before geth uprising. In the end, out of all the species in ME universe, we know maybe least about quarians...
They definitely will be. There's some on them in the Morning War video, and the next video I have planned has a segment that goes further into that. Of course that's just one chapter in the story of the quarians.
Read Mass Effect: Ascension. If you really want to learn more about the Quarians, there's a lot of information on their people and culture. Plus it's a god read, I definitely recommend it.
In ME3 if you romance Tali, you get a picture of her as a gift, they made her very pretty, as Javik stated "Even primitive Quarians were attractive in my cycle", and Quarians and Geth have their histories intertwined, Legion gives much about why they were created, how they ascended, what they wanted, what happened at first and then the Quarians reaction, which not all agreed to shut off the Geth, and the non-pursuit of the Geth beyond the Veil

I wish there was more on this. Even in the extended universe they rarely mention life on earth.

Did this arm do anything to solidify his relations with the Geth at all? His teeth look kinda funked out too in that first scene we see of him, what's up with that?

I have never heard this really explained as it seems a bit of a loophole in the series. You had Sovereign and Saren working together for a number of years. Well, what is the point of the Collectors. You would think Sovereign would use them. Then there is the catalyst on the Citadel. If it controls the reapers and I would presume the citadel itself why would it even need to bother with a Sovereign to begin with. I know the easiest answer is there wouldn't be a trilogy but I wanted to hear your take on the redundancies the catalyst has in place.
I think there simply weren't enough collectors to use in an assault on the citadel. The collectors can take out obscure human colonies, but that's about it.
Making logic of the Mass Effect 3 ending is much more complicated and at some point deserves its own video.
The bottom line is that its tough to get things to match up perfectly over many games :)
