Not really for me but there are great for the fans.I am tempted to get the engine as I had a short ride behind the engine when it was at Crewe Heritage Centre or The Railway Age as it was called then.

Just brought 2022 July and very happy, it's only a 3 pole so will probably upgrade to a 5 with a sound decoder and smoke would set it off 😀
Lovely loco from Hornby. Just purchased this one on its own (R3804) and will be installing the TTS sound chip. I also have R6980 DENT station which I will be using as my `HOGSMEADE'.
(Cheating a bit I know). Thankyou Hornby for producing such lovely stuff.
Got a chance to review the set recently, and I was very impressed! Really wish more of the Hornby OO stuff was available here in Canada.
I have that set, and made an exhibition layout out of it using the Hogsmeade buildings to make a scene from the late 1950s and early 1960s, also threw in a few other (Non Harry Potter) Western region traffic or some London midland region services.
Anyone notice its not painted correctly the station was Goathland repainted in one colour but they left the skaledale buildings in two and just put name boards on them 🤔
Still tempted on buying this. I have the original first Hogwarts castle loco Hornby brought out, but would love to get this version as its the hall class loco as based on Olton Hall which was used for the movie.

I bought one of these train sets. The only problem is that it only comes with one coach and one brake van. They sell additional brake vans, but not additional coaches. That doesn't make any sense!
I'm not a true Harry Potter Fan, yet I've got Hogwarts Castle (Olton Hall in disguise) with the working headlight. I've also got a Harry Potter doll. However, I have a Bachmann Train Set with Rood Ashton Hall in it: The Shakespeare Express. Rood Ashton Hall is a new favourite Great Western Tender Engine of mine. The Bachmann model of Rood Ashton Hall is as good as the Hornby model of Hogwarts Castle (Olton Hall in disguise). I may not fancy riding on the real Hogwarts Express, but riding on The Shakespeare Express is very much on my to-do list. I'm hoping to do it next year, all being well.
Any chance you will sell more coaches with the set? I got the 1 extra that's different, but the movies have 4/5 coaches.

Nice! I have the older version of the Hogwarts Express Train and I have some Hogsmeade station buildings. I am missing Footbridge and Waiting Room and Signal Box. I haven't space for it, but I want it too for my collection. But the Footbridge is too expensive. The buildings are really nice and detailed!
I am scare about next year, because I am from Czech republic and I don't know, if there will be more taxes or not...

I just purchased this brand new for Christmas, it runs well but the headlight doesn’t come on? I also can’t locate a digital decoder for it anywhere so I can add sound? Any trouble shooting would be appreciated!
