Omg your curls are so pretty! I’ve had a hard time dealing with my curls but ever since I’ve been watching your videos it’s been getting better. Thanks for the help!
wow that makes me so happy!!
Rake and squeeze for me since I still cannot perfect the brush styling 😭
Ur hair is so fire 🔥
Omg. If I brush style, my hair looks like shit! So now I have a hybrid way of doing it since I love the smoothness I get from the brush style and it distributes products evenly. I have to brush upside-down, flip right-side up and then use the rake method. Yeah, that's how much I suck but it turns good every time so... 🤷♀️
@@claiyageil oohhhh I’m going to have to try that method of yours
@@bellzchellz hope it looks decent for you.
Brush styling my hair takes me forever and turns it into a giant bush of stringy curls, and raking is almost just as bad! My hair is very coarse, dry and super porous and puffy. I have found for my kind of hair, I need very big clumps to control the volume, as it helps elongate my curls a bit so they lay better and keeps all my curls from going separately in all different directions, puffing wayyyyy out. Color Wow has worked best but at almost $30 bottle and I use at least a half a bottle each time, I reserve that for special occassions only. Otherwise I comb when conditioner is in it, then rinse and apply leave-in conditioner - usually adding water and more conditioner and scrunching to create big clumps. This is done standing at the sink with my hair parted roughly in the middle. Then a curl defining cream, then a gel, then NO TOUCHY TOUCHY!!! LEAVE IT ALONE at all costs! At this point, all I have left to do is wait approximately 947 hours for it to dry so I can rub an oil (like Oleplex or Moroccan) in my hands and smooth over my hair while gently scrunching out the cast. Then pray for no rain, no humidity, no kids with water guns come near me, no one spits when they talk, and that no one uses the hot water, cause that steam will somehow find it's way to my vulnerable locks without a doubt!!!
@@ellieem4716 not 947 hours 😂
How exactly do you style using the brush? Could you make a tutorial on it
idk how y'all can be so fast with brush styling, i struggle with the parting/sectioning alone. it takes me ages 😭
If you want tips, add a leave in with some slip and detangle before the styling parting ( may need to section hair before detangling if you have a lot or if it is tangled/tangles easily and you may need to add more leave in after parting depending on your hairs) part with a wide toothed comb or rat tail end, for the brush defining find a pattern of parting and stick to the general sections instead of just grabbing a section and mixing it up every time you do a wash n go
Hand styling. Both look nice.
So pretty! Love both but I prefer brush styling ❤️
I totally agree!❤️❤️❤️
I love both of them on you. But I think since you asked , I like the rake and squeeze method better. ❤
I just love your hair!!! You rock those curls! Wow!
I hated the rake and squeeze method. It has never worked for me other than to rip out hair and make very stringy curls. I was so happy to find you and Mell’s brush styling method!!
I agree with you.. both sides are very pretty though 🤗💛
agree with you.. both sides are very pretty though 🤗💛
Both sides look about the same lol
Both beautiful
I like the rake and scrunch but thats all i can do with mine. When I have a perm its much better!
I like the rake and squeeze method. I don't have enough hair density for brush styling.
Both
Hi! Do you have a video that shows how you curl your hair with a brush? I am intrigued.. Thanx!
I choose the side with big bodacious volume😁😅. Amandaaa 💕💕💕💕💕.
I’m really terrible at brush styling and my hair never turns out nice when I do it plus it takes me sooo long to brush style because I’m so bad it lol. So hang styling for me! I usually just plop right after and often get better results that way than I do w diffusing
I'm from Pakistan and they don't sell the tangle teezer here so I asked my friend to bring it next time shes visiting. I love how your hair looks with the tangle teezer. I've tried the denman brush and it just makes my hair stringy
If you haven’t already, you might try removing some of the rows from the brush in the meantime!
Bailey hey, could you explain how that helps? I've heard people say that a few times but I don't know what that does
@@AnnaBanana-kz6es I believe that Mel explained in an older video that taking out some of the rows (like every other for example) can give bigger curl clumps. Less separation should lead to less stringy curls. I have wavy to curly hair and I noticed a bit of a difference!
Bailey ill try that! Have you seen any good results with the tangle teezer? And any products you'd recommend? My hair is on the curlier side of wavy but it's not as curly as Amanda's. I've accepted my hair isn't going to be as pretty as theirs so I just use what works for wavy hair rather than curly hair.
@@AnnaBanana-kz6es I actually switched from the denman to a tangle teezer and have been liking the results! I wanted less mechanical damage and the bendier bristles have been helpful for that.
And right, as a curlyish wavy girl I try to embrace my natural pattern. I can’t make my hair do what theirs does without some serious heat styling lol. I recommend light weight products so we don’t weigh our looser curls down. I personally use a lightweight curl cream, lightweight gel and a moose. Your hair may not need as much, if it’s not as dry. Still looking for my favorites but I’ve been really enjoying Ouidad!
I would definitely watch Mel’s wavy videos if you haven’t already! Embracing my hair texture has been a recent development over the last few years and basically all I’ve learned is from Mel and Amanda lol!
What kind of brush do you use?
What products do you use please?
What product and brush are you using please???
What kind of products do you use?
Rake And squeeze??
Hello can you please share all of your brush… thx
okay so I figured out a way to get PERFECT AF curls with minimal frizz and almost zero effort and no equipments. When your hair's wet but not dripping with water apply leave in conditioner or curl cream (whatever works for you), let it rest for like 5 mins and apply gel ( I love flaxseed gel for this), let it airdry for 30-45 mins( or more if your hair's really long) and then turn your hair upside down to wrap it with a t shirt( see videos on youtube to do that), and just sleep in it. Just remember that when you're applying product, you really work it in with your hands. The distribution of product is so important for the curls to be frizzfree. Try it out, it's literally foolproof😂.
btw I've tried all the styling methods (except the brush one, coz I don't have the right brush), nothing works as good as this
I simply cannot part my hair evenly at all 😂. I'll spend 45 minutes trying to section my hair
I don't see a difference. Both sides look fabulous!
If I brush my wavy hair itll flatten the waves ☹️
Then you need better products
Not much difference
Rake and SQUEEZE?? What the heck is that? It’s called rake and SHAKE.
I thank god I don’t have to fuss with my hair!!! This is crazy . I’d never get anything done !!
Brush styling is always ugly. Hand styling is the best.
They look almost identical on her....
Well they both look good on her as there is barely a difference, but I've seen some amazing results with the brush. It always turns out awful on me, but everyone's hair is different.
Or you just do it wrong
@@cicilg almost is not😂
@@ellieem4716 thats your opinion. Maybe post it as your own comment at the video?
