Love these colors and this design, Miranda! Hubby had a customer to drop off to. So he dropped me off actually, to visit with a dear friend whose moved close to me here in the Texas Hill Country. She has a huge Great Dane, 3 rabbits, ducks, chickens, a tortoise named Mel. It was so good to get out, have some wine and catch up! This design was really cool!! I would love some of these plaster stones and the black 3.0 is NICE!!
We always, ALWAYS LOVE your tutorials! Thank you for highlighting the 3.0 Black. In person it's quite pretty - like black velvet. As for trampolines in the living room - Desperate times Do call for desperate measures - you gotta do what you gotta do :)

Glad it was helpful! Thank you so much for checking in from the UK. I have been moving to a new house and studio space So I am just getting back in the swing of things. Welcome to the dotting world!!
Miranda, you do such beautiful work and it seems that you always choose just the perfect colors for your designs. I can't tell you how much I admire you and your talent. Keep posting those works of art for us. Especially now that we are home bound. You stay well and keep your family safe!

I love your design, so original and looks like stained glass! Thank you for showing us the 3.0, it looks amazing & really shows up the colours. I was trawling shops and ringing on line sites in search of "very dark black" paper for Christmas cards and very few of them understood my need, thought I was nuts!
Oh thank you so much for your kind words. I'm sorry you had such a hard time finding the Christmas card paper. That does sound frustrating. I love stained glass too! I never thought of this looking like it until you said so. But it really does
Miranda, I have never made a rock painting before. But watching this has inspired me. I have ordered the few items I don't have, like rocks, and I am excited to give it a try. If you have any words of advice for a first time rock painter, feel free to toss it my way. I have made many canvas mandalas and they are fun, so I am sure this will be as well.
Fabulous! Have you painted using dots before? My only suggestion if you have not..is make sure you have a bit thinner paint consistency. Other than that, have fun and enjoy the therapeutic process💞

I was very interested in the BLK3.0 paint that you suggested, but it is a bit pricey. I often use black gesso as a base coat, then do a regular black acrylic coat over that. Today I discovered that the black gesso is much, much blacker than the black acrylic paint, so from now on I will be using black gesso on my stones!

hi Miranda, i am having a problem getting smooth swipes on canvases. the weave of the canvas is rough despite a couple of coats of background paints, not as all smooth like a stone or at least the moulded stones. would a heavy gesso help with this? Omgosh, Miranda! I'm SOOO HAPPY that you had so much fun with my suggestion of the orange slice! I had another idea--- one that seems to be in keeping with everything that is going on right now... I am about to start painting a mandala in blue for my family doctor (her favorite color!), because she is the most AMAZING doctor ever!!! With all the doctors and nurses and first responders that are putting themselves in harm's way , wouldn't it be a really nice gift to give of a painted mandala, WITH A MEDICAL STAFF in the center? I'm trying to figure out how to do it, but I am having painter's block! Is it something that you might be willing to try? BTW, I just LOVE the bloopers, AND hearing your little guy coming in to say hello! I just welcomed my 7th grandchild to the world on the 19th, and I am so excited! Cant help myself--- I just LOVE little ones (ESPECIALLY toddlers!!!) ! They are SO MUCH FUN!!!

I love blues! I finally got a set of Happy Dotting molds. I've been wanting them for a year or so. I made up a couple of batches of stones. They came out decent, but there are still a few bubbles on the top of the stone. Any hints on how to keep that from happening?
@@michelle3064 Thank you :) I did do that, but, thinking back, I may not have done it enough, or maybe thorough enough? Most of the bubbles did come up, but the few that stayed in the mold turned out to be small, but deep enough that top coat and dots didn't quite hide them. On one hand, few things are perfect in nature, so it gives the stones their own unique character, and I kind of like it, on the other, my nit-picky, gotta do it perfect side grumbles. ;)
Awesome! I do the tap as well, but I am hearing Anjela has psoted updated helpful hints on her page. A soapy mixture? I have not looked yet, but she always has great stuff there. On Fb
LOL Those bloopers tho! Well I'm passing the time watching some amazing dot painting videos by Miranda Pitrone. You might know that lovely lady. I love your swishes. Totally swooning over the little pink swishes on my tealight holder. And that bright green...did you realize what color tissue paper you wrapped my latest acquisition in? It's the little things, ya know. :)
Absolutely! Sometimes it is the little things that make all the difference! I am so happy you like your candle holder! You really have a great color combo for your favorite! 💖💖💖
I loaded up my Michaels cart with more paint. 🙈🙈. I love this. I think my stone is a step smaller but I am going for it! Just waiting for my stone cast to cure
And yes I love the split screen so I understand the fact that it’s a dome and why you’re letting things dry so they don’t run I’m also going to check out those molds for the containers
Well...I hear Gesso works...I have used quickkrete and then sanded or the stone crack filler from the hardware store. Sometimes if it is not deep I juut seal it and paint over it..

Hi Miranda!! This turned out really beautiful! I also love the spinning wheel you're using to paint your rocks on. Very handy tool :)
It is a very handy tool! I love it! So glad to see you are doing well!
I loaded up my Michaels cart with more paint. 🙈🙈. I love this. I think my stone is a step smaller but I am going for it! Just waiting for my stone cast to cure
YES!! Go for it! Find me on FB and share your completed piece. I would love to see..facebook.com/mirandapitroneART/
And yes I love the split screen so I understand the fact that it’s a dome and why you’re letting things dry so they don’t run I’m also going to check out those molds for the containers
I like the split screen too. It helps to see things from that angle at times...but not all the time😁💞
Love x
Thanx for 💖

I did one on an imperfectly round natural stone. My swooshes aren’t great but it was fun to try.
Awesome! I am so glad you had fun! The swipes will get easier the more you do them💖
I live near the colonial Williamsburg area of Virginia in the US. It’s near the Chesapeake Bay about three hours south of DC
I have a stone with a side slit in the stone. What can I use it to fill it in?
IIs it a natural sstone or handmade?

Well...I hear Gesso works...I have used quickkrete and then sanded or the stone crack filler from the hardware store. Sometimes if it is not deep I juut seal it and paint over it..
In acrylic pouring many artists will use Elmers Glue All to thicken paint.
Good to know! I have that on hand for my daughter's slime 👀
