Ps forgot to ask I see a lot of people using escargot shells. You use moon shells. Not seeing them in person before, which do you prefer for the little guys. Thanks again :)
Sorry for the very late reply. I show the sand I use in this video ua-cam.com/video/6XmRoJi9BPI/v-deo.html around the 8 minute mark. I would say 3 to 4 inches deep will be plenty but it depends on the species of shell dweller. eg. Multifasciatus, go very deep. Brevis, go a 2cm as they hardly dig. I would prefer escargot shells for smaller shellies as they are lighter for them to move around. Moon shells for larger shellies (as they are larger shells too) but also a little heavier.
Hi. Love your videos. What pool filter sand do you use please? And how deep of a sand bed would you on a shell dweller setup? Thanks heaps
