I've moved in! Decided I'm going to do reveal as part of the final build, only moved in 2 weeks ago though so still a few weeks away 😥
@@joydrive would be definitely interested in popping out for a look, I am considering buliding as well and trying to balance a workshop/shooting studio for content is a major one I am considering with the land size etc..

Annoyingly will probably still need a shed to store some shit I don't want in shop 😂
Nice one Simon, good work! don't forget to do your slab a bit thicker where your hoist is going unless it's a four poster then it should be ok
Spoke to Bendpak and Happ, both are ok with my concrete specs, does mean smaller hoist and a weight limit, but the weight limit is big enough for almost any car I plan to work on. Wish my budget allowed thicker concrete but single income and a smaller wage then most means I'm pushing my budget already :(

Unfortunately I do think there is still some issues with the recess to fit the hoist but looking into those shortly, will explain all in an update video in a few months 🙏

@@fluffybren no they're not haha. Most suburban blocks are 250-350. The blocks next to me are 340 I think. You either spend big, big money or have to go super far out of Perth to get a 500sqm and above block

I too was somewhat surprised to hear 406m2 and large block in the same sentence, haha. But, Perth metro area developers sure do like to cram them in!
I don't think you should have too much drama as far as planning approval in your area for the lift even if they do a noise study. I did a quick search but couldn't find anything stating self maintenance isn't allowed in that shire? I'm at the other end of Roe myself and managed to get over 800sqm of land, and do most of my channel content there without issues.
