Hey Anthony! We use 10 Ft B&M Crappie poles with 14 pound Stren heavy cover... We've had the big Blues break a rod every now and then! It sure is fun.

I've had plans to take Fawn to the river for a couple weeks now. My truck has been broke down and its putting a kink in your plans. I did some bass fishing this morning with my step dad on a public lake....I'm bout done with the lakes this year. The water gets so dang hot you couldn't pay one to bite...We only caught 6...In 5 1/2 hours....

Yesser! Dad had some clients out on Santee yesterday and they had surface temps in the low to mid 90's! That's like bath water man! At least in the river you can find some shade... that's where the fish are anyway!

We had water temps at daylight at 85 and up to 89 before we left. My granny would say, "that water's hot as pea soup" lol
