Another Awesome Video !!!!! Never a dull moment with Chatt Cats - Your videos help shape the landscape of fishing techniques and how fishing videos are filmed in the US. Keep up the great work and we all look forward to your videos in 2018.
This was just reccommended to me by the UA-cam algorithm and I was not disappointed. Great job on that amazing catch man! I'm subbing now. I've never caught a blue cat nearly that size. Congrats and I'm glad you released it !
I would pay good money to have been able to watch you trying to get that fish in the boat!!!! This video is as good as it gets man. Thank you for sharing such an awesome moment with us. Also...i REALLY appreciate when people post all the details (rod/reel/ DATE/water temp, etc) Thank you again for sharing and big thank you for releasing !!!
Live Bluegills for Flattys, and cut bait, or raw shrimp for channels and blues always works for me. I launch on the big TN River south of Knoxville. Watts Bar Dam area. There are some huge Catfish in there around here too, the kind that will rip your gear out of your hands if your not paying attention .. :)
Man I can’t believe this was 2 years ago and I’m just now seeing it! This is amazing! Raw shrimp has always been the best catfish bait for me, and I’m not that big into cat fishing either. But this video makes me want to get more into it.
I have been fishing for 58!yrs.and I can say you have a good style of fishing great ethics,I am more into catch, photograph and release these days .Keep Fishing,Teaching and enjoying the blessings of fishing my friend.Maybe one day we can go catch em together. When fishermen meet.I have some good pictures and stories. We have to teach this younger generation
Great fish! What a lot of fun that had to be landing that pig. Catfish baits used, live shad and blue gill, cut fish, shrimp and dried liver. But the undisputed king of catfish bait is a bruised and badly beaten wolverine.........Go Bucks!!
Great job great catch I'm very happy for you I hope I get the chance to catch something that big and especially thank you for returning them back to the river you treated that fish with a lot of respect and you deserve more catches like that
Beautiful fish Joe,When you measure a fish lay him on his belly with his nose against the edge of your boat and measure under him from nose to tip of tail closed. You measured him following down the contour of his head.Never the less he is a true beast.Congratulation,s.
Congrats on that monster of a fish!!! Goes to show ya with perseverance and time to learn the body of water will someday yield great results. I mainly fish for Flatties, so my favorite bait is a toss up between Bluegill and Greenies.
I've been catfishing for 45 years and what I've seen and done was if I wanted the bigger size cats I would use either live bream or bluegill or cut skipjack!!! But if I wanted eaters I would fish with chicken livers or some type of blood bait!!! GREAT FISH!! GREAT VIDEO!!!
Cool!My favorite bait for catfish is a bunch of leeches and big worms in one hook. And it would be better to cut off the leeches' suckers, blood which come out from them will attract catfish.I did it many times in our area in Ukraine and it was successful, i think it will work in America also.
Great fish!! Best part of the video is when you released that big pig. Oh yeah my favorite bait for cats...islive drum some people call them sheephead. Ive caught more and bigger flatheads on them than any other bait.
My favorite catfish bait is Sonny's Super Sticky Catfish bait, blood formula. I fish for eaters mostly, no trophies. Fifteen to twenty pounders are the biggest I ever get and I put those back because they don't taste good. Mostly on Percy Priest, Old Hickory and the Cumberland here in Nashville. Lots of great catfishing here. Love your vids! Merry Christmas!
Keven Johnson ... On the swift Missouri River... our favorites for Flat heads were...LIVE goldfish and bluegills. For tournaments and charters we preferred Chubs and was never without nightcrawlers. The University of Missouri did a study on what the number one catfish attractant was, and discovered it was.... 'Human Saliva'.... I guess the old wives/fishermen's tale about spitting on your bait before using doesn't sound so far fetched now does it?
Chatt cats fishing. Great video and beautiful catch. My #1 favorite Bait is almost as much fun to catch as the catfish are!! Except it's a little dangerous to catch because of snakes I love going to the local Creaks at night time and catching spring lizards. if you put them in a container an old ice chest with some damp moss and damp leaves in Works best because on hot days you need to throw a hand full of ice in occasionally to keep them cool. My # 2 favorite bait is bait fish I catch out of the water where I am fishing, the fish like the food they are acustom to eating. My # 3 favorite bait to use are wild muskadine grapes. I usually pick and fish within the area where I gather them. Be careful out there, "love to have fun!! And have fun loving!!"
What a monster!! I always look forward to your uploads brother. And for catfish I typically use cut up boneless chicken breasts, marinated in the oils out of a couple cans of tuna fish in vegetable oil. Its what my grandfather always used.
Omg that's a hog I really want to catch a big one been so long 20 my best the last 10 years. Did get a 100 plus pound gar back during the summer wished ide got a well wished ide got a weight it was 6ft and we'll could have been close to 200 but didn't get it all in nut did get a video and lot watching me fight it. But 40 pound flat head on trot line and bush hook back in my 20s. And 35 biggest rod and reel. But I was 23 prob. And 25 for the 40s. I really love a big cat before I'm sicker and can't really fish and catch a big fish. But please enter me in your GAW I'm paying it forward to big 'n' little fishers. Trying to find and win what ever I can to make shur kids get free fishing gear the spring of this next year so got 3 or 4 months to save and donate. Thanks fir the video again omg that's huge. Thanks o sorry brim head my fav bait then shad then liver. In that order. Thanks god bless
Chatt Cats Fishing my emails not letting me send anything can't even delete they keep coming back. But it's 1313 fern St West Monroe Louisiana. 71292. Or my PO box is in my about on my channel. But man that's cool. Thanks and sorry it took so long been a bad week someone stole my phone it's really cold out side trucks tire keeps going flat yea bad week but wow thanks so so much. God bless
Chatt Cats Fishing I'll make Shir to make vidoe when I get it again sorry it took so long. Praying I get a new phone next month when I get my disibilty check. But I'll try to email again see if it goes thru incase you don't get this message right now. Thanks again God bless
Chatt Cats Fishing i come back and watch this video like twice a week. The good ole palomar knot is what I use even at the swivel. Sometimes it depends. But usually both the polamar or a snell to a palomar. I love this video. Your excitement says it all. Now all I need is a boat lol
Wow what a beast, I've never fished Nickajack. But might have to make a trip down there. As far as bait, I mostly use cut skipjack or shad. But in the spring I'll use bluegills for flatheads.
Gorgeous fish, Joe... I most commonly used frozen anchovies, when I lived in California, for channel cats... it poured puts out a real nice scent. Really pulls them in!!! Keep putting out the great videos, Joe. We outdoorsman really enjoy and appreciate them, thank you And merry Christmas!
Way to go joe!! Awesome job handling that beast by yourself! ! That Monster Rod and okuma did the job!! I like using live and cut bluegill for blues and flatheads here in VA.. TIGHT LINES
Congrats Joe! That's an amazing catch. My favorite bait to catch all sizes is chicken breasts cut into chunks then put into a Ziploc bag full of strawberry Jell-O powder. Let it soak into the chicken over night and it makes the chicken tougher and the catfish love it. If I'm going for larger cats my favorite is live bream. Thanks for all the great videos. I've learned a lot from you.
Another great video from Chatt Cats. Man, what a tank of a fish. I don't know how you picked it up and put it in the boat. Can't wait too see more videos by you.
Nice work on that monster cat! One of my favorite catfish baits is raw chicken breast which I actually picked up from watching your videos. I'm a bank fisherman in Nebraska, where cast nets aren't allowed so without easy access to live baitfish, raw chicken breast was the next best thing for me. It's easy to get, and those cats seem to love it, especially in the fall.
Great catch. I'm a Chinese guy. I never hooked a cat fish before. But in my hometown, people use dirty chicken guts to hook cat fish. And they don't know how to use lure rod 😂. By the way, I'm in US now. I want to try as you today. I like your box lol.
Awesome cat! I love your vids! I like using giant goldfish for bait. When I was younger a bait shop I used to go on the OH river had them for 50 cents each. They cost a lot more now$$$
I honesty felt like I just fought that myself. What a way to start my Monday. Merry Christmas. My favorite catfish bait is skipjack. I put in all kinds of work to make sure that during these cold months that I even as a bank fisherman has the catfish candy when still on the bank in the cold months. Thanks bud. Chris Rose
Man you have to love the way those big ones fight and rip drag! Congrats what a Thank, can't wait to see you pull more out like that. That pig has a bigger waist than me, I'm a 38 and I feel fat.I enjoyed your videos. Can't wait to see the next one.
My brother fishes down there a lot. He caught one last year @102#,s, and several in the sixty to eighty pounds. He took Dad out a month ago who is ninety years old. Dad had never caught a big cat in his life, but He caught one sixty five and one forty five due to my brothers expertise, and made his day. Some real bruisers in there, for sure.
Dang friend I was so wishing I was there in The boat with you holding the net and getting it over the rail of your boat being December and colder weather and the monster fight you just had with that beast you could of used a deck hand to bring it over the rail shew-we that is what it is ALL about I've been a catfishing fella about all of the 40 years I've lived and I've only hunted the every day channel catfish around my neck of the woods and then I moved to the Truman lake area in Missouri and I got to get an education on the mighty blue cat's and I only have landed ones in the 40-lbs range and I've been on the hunt since I learned about them and it ain't happened yet and now I live back at my homestead and it's a good hour drive to get to a lake or river with blues but one like this one is still on my bullseye and you definitely renewed my desire to sink a wisker-sticker into the corner of ones mouth hopefully it won't be too long before I can get my chance as you did in this video I've never been lucky enough to get time on the water in a boat so I've had to either do a lot of walking around a area and hope to get on some good fish but I'm sure there is one big'ol slob in the meramac river or Missouri River or Mississippi River that has been waiting for me to pitch him a fat shad to him and when I do I'll remember your video here and I'll post it and tag it to you so you can see mine LoL I've done made a personal promise to get it done before January first 2020 either a 100-lbs blue or 100-lbs flat-head I prefer a blue-slob like the one you pulled in that is a beautiful blue big o gurthy jelly belly on it you have some good equipment also don't you cause it handled the weight of the big guy just fine it pulled the boat all over the water but heck it looked like you were the only worrier out on that whole river that day I guarantee you that when people got the chance to see this video and know Where you were in the video and know you the next few days there would of been white caps drifting up and down that little stretch yank and tuggin it looking for the big ol boy again lol anyway I'll let you go but great job fella I sub'd you and look forward to the next one hopefully I'll show you mine soon from here in mid-missouri
now that's a cat!!!! love nickajack I've passed it on intrastate' beautiful' never fished it . I said there is some monsters there but yea I use to work there and stayed there . need to hook up and break uh jaw!!!!
Nice catch! I usually Use hotdogs cover over in butter garlic Homemade sauce and also goldfish. but I usually catch blue cats using the homemade garlic sauce. thanks for posting this episode.
Love your videos. We don't get many big blues in NE Tennessee but my favorite baits are nightcrawlers with garlic powder for channels and live sunfish for blues and flatties. Thanks and Merry Christmas.
First time watching ya video, but your doing exactly what I do by casting that helps find the school of them , I usually wait about twenty minutes then re-cast , the sound helps to ....truly enjoyed the fishing adventure...
here in Oklahoma, I like like skipjack and shad, starting around mid June, I throw my stinkbait, then back to shad in the fall. Also like cured chicken liver for catching chanels, live perch for flathead. been known to use sandbass, carp and drum too
It depend on what type of cat fish you are targeting. For Blue and Channel, fresh cut bait always work. For Flat Head, they prefer live bait like blue gills or shade will work.
What’s is going on!!!🤟🏽🤟🏽 The next rod is a must review!! And I’m like 90% sure you haven’t got your hands on one! It will hit the market in December!😊 The Flat Head Rod by Kris Flores!😁

Raw shrimp has always been the best catfish bait for me, and I’m not that big into cat fishing either. But this video makes me want to get more into it.

Thanks, Jimmy!
So far my favorite bait is chicken breast, set in garlic powder, strawberry jello, with a few squirts of Dead Red spray.
Man nowadays chicken breast is so expensive I’ve been using bluegill
Cool!My favorite bait for catfish is a bunch of leeches and big worms in one hook. And it would be better to cut off
the leeches' suckers, blood which come out from them will attract catfish.I did it many times in our area in Ukraine and it was successful, i think it will work in America also.

Great video and beautiful catch. My #1 favorite Bait is almost as much fun to catch as the catfish are!! Except it's a little dangerous to catch because of snakes
I love going to the local
Creaks at night time and catching spring lizards. if you put them in a container an old ice chest with some damp moss and damp leaves in
Works best because on hot days you need to throw a hand full of ice in occasionally to keep them cool.

I use palomar knots going to the hook and improved clinch knots to the swivel
Chatt Cats Fishing i come back and watch this video like twice a week. The good ole palomar knot is what I use even at the swivel. Sometimes it depends. But usually both the polamar or a snell to a palomar. I love this video. Your excitement says it all. Now all I need is a boat lol

Another great video from Chatt Cats. Man, what a tank of a fish. I don't know how you picked it up and put it in the boat. Can't wait too see more videos by you.
It took a while for me to lift it over and into the boat and then my GoPro battery died.
Here in Alabama I like to use cut bluegill for channel cats, and live bluegill for flatheads, and I don't have to much experience with blue catfish.
That’s a tank!!!! Can’t wait for spring to hit here in South Dakota so I can go chase some flatheads.
I'm ready for Spring too!
Thanks for watching!
Congrats Chatt for that beautiful blue Cat fish!! My favorite bait is bluegill
It's a great bait to use!
Congrats friend! I'm supper happy for you! Thanks for sharing your outings with us!!

Hope you get a big catfish. They are fun to catch.

Breaking 100 lbs is uncommon down in my neck of the woods. I bet that was a thrill!!!
Dang friend I was so wishing I was there in
The boat with you holding the net and getting it over the rail of your boat being December and colder weather and the monster fight you just had with that beast you could of used a deck hand to bring it over the rail shew-we that is what it is ALL about I've been a catfishing fella about all of the 40 years I've lived and I've only hunted the every day channel catfish around my neck of the woods and then I moved to the Truman lake area in Missouri and I got to get an education on the mighty blue cat's and I only have landed ones in the 40-lbs range and I've been on the hunt since I learned about them and it ain't happened yet and now I live back at my homestead and it's a good hour drive to get to a lake or river with blues but one like this one is still on my bullseye and you definitely renewed my desire to sink a wisker-sticker into the corner of ones mouth hopefully it won't be too long before I can get my chance as you did in this video I've never been lucky enough to get time on the water in a boat so I've had to either do a lot of walking around a area and hope to get on some good fish but I'm sure there is one big'ol slob in the meramac river or Missouri River or Mississippi River that has been waiting for me to pitch him a fat shad to him and when I do I'll remember your video here and I'll post it and tag it to you so you can see mine LoL I've done made a personal promise to get it done before January first 2020 either a 100-lbs blue or 100-lbs flat-head I prefer a blue-slob like the one you pulled in that is a beautiful blue big o gurthy jelly belly on it you have some good equipment also don't you cause it handled the weight of the big guy just fine it pulled the boat all over the water but heck it looked like you were the only worrier out on that whole river that day I guarantee you that when people got the chance to see this video and know
Where you were in the video and know you the next few days there would of been white caps drifting up and down that little stretch yank and tuggin it looking for the big ol boy again lol anyway I'll let you go but great job fella I sub'd you and look forward to the next one hopefully I'll show you mine soon from here in mid-missouri
Thanks for watching!
Hope you have a great year of fishing and catch a GIANT! Tight lines!
now that's a cat!!!! love nickajack I've passed it on intrastate' beautiful' never fished it . I said there is some monsters there but yea I use to work there and stayed there . need to hook up and break uh jaw!!!!
Nice catch! That is definitely a pig! I would have to say sudden impact dip bait to catch lots of catfish & blue gill or cut shad for the bigger cats!
Merry Christmas, Jamie!
First time watching ya video, but your doing exactly what I do by casting that helps find the school of them , I usually wait about twenty minutes then re-cast , the sound helps to ....truly enjoyed the fishing adventure...
Thanks for watching!
12:53 Thats what she said lol ...all jokes aside what a catch man!! Very nice
Lol.
Thanks for watching!
Awesome job! A word of advice is to wear gloves when taking hooks out of any cat fish's mouths because I notice they always tend to bite/clamp.
Thanks for the tip and thanks for watching!
here in Oklahoma, I like like skipjack and shad, starting around mid June, I throw my stinkbait, then back to shad in the fall. Also like cured chicken liver for catching chanels, live perch for flathead. been known to use sandbass, carp and drum too
I cant keep two lines from crossing, but you fish 6......truly a master cat man you are! Congrats on a PB & thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching!
I grew up fishing on the James river and my uncle always said the stinkier the bait the better for catfish of course.
DOVE ! Not the soap. But the bird. Best part of getting to go bird hunting is going fishing afterwards. Works good
A catch of a life time No question. That fish is easily 70 years old or older.
Ineluctable Smith not possible, the 100 pounders are found to only be 25 to 30 years old
I just got one of those TWC Monster Rods. It looks great and I can’t wait to use it this season.
It's a great rod!
Wow -- way to go Joe ! Congrats...
Thanks, Jeff!
It depend on what type of cat fish you are targeting.
For Blue and Channel, fresh cut bait always work.
For Flat Head, they prefer live bait like blue gills or shade will work.
One-hundred pounder for sure , wow ...awesome to know there bruisers out in these rivers and lakes that big ...
Thanks for watching!

Great video. Thanks for sharing. Really like fresh shad. Also, marinated wieners for channel cats.
