Capt Buster shows us how he fillets those catfish & bream after a great day of fishing the Wateree River! He uses a Rapala electric fillet knife available in the sporting goods area of your local Walmart!

Capt. Buster has done that more than once. I always like to see how someone else does this you always learn something.

Thanks Tony! Been loving the new videos buddy! Wade
That cut is so clean

Do you put anything in the water like salt that you are putting the fillets in. thanks
Bubba one question looks like your cutting through the ribs am I right and do the ribs cook up if you are?? Thanks I've got a special son who absolutely loves your videos I've taken up fishing because he loves doing it. And now I've grown to enjoy it also.
Yes, we are cutting thru the rib bones! We will remove the rib bones before frying! Watch Ms Jean get the fillets ready to fry: ua-cam.com/video/yQrAf6HEbkc/v-deo.html
Thanks Bubba just watched will do the five we caught Yesterday.
does the wateree river feed lake wateree and Sante cooper?
wateree runs into congeree and that forms the santee. thanks capt. Buster ,,
do you and the wife ever catch any blue or flathead cats on wateree river? also what's the yellowish color on the loin meat of the cats?
yes we catch Channels ,Blues and a few Few Flatheads. Channels have some yellowish meat but they sure eat good. Capt. Buster
Wow, no dislikes!, nic vid
Thanks Bryan!
Thanks for the video. I am from Texas and have always called them perch. I never knew you could eat them! How do they taste?
They are good!
They taste a lot like a crappie to me!
Bubba I'm not sure if you knew this not trying to gross anyone out but the white specs in your blue gill are a kind of worm but as long as you cooked the fish you are ok.
Yesser! That's a common problem everywhere now! But you're correct. Cook em done and no worries!
catfish skin left on the filet is the way to go
Doesn't cutting on the metal surface dull your knife?
Not if you hold the blade at the right angle. Capt. Buster
I noticed you didn't cut out the rib cage on the blue gill fillets!? is there a reason why or did you go back and do it later.
Hey Jason... we remove the rib cage just before frying!
I WANT TO EAT IT ALLLL..THE HEAD AND TAIL. LOL
So these are bone-in???
what kind of bait Did you catch the catfish on?
Earth worms & crickets!
is there much meat in the part that he didn't cut where the bones are
No, not much Jason!
u mangled that catfish
great video but you left the cheek meat on the cats I think its the best part
Bluegill they call em in iowa
there's bluegill, sunfish, and others I've always called em brim
+Corey Petroskey (GamingWithCorey) yeah i just call them bluegill because thats what my dad and grandpa call them
+Corey Petroskey (GamingWithCorey) and i subscribeed to you
that's what we call them here in western PA as well
bluegill
try to remove the yellow stop of meat on the top of the fillet to get a cleaner taste
No cooking vid ? lol
you wasted 30% of the meat when your filleting it.
u should cut the yellow out of the meat...those fat deposits make the fish taste like mud
you video keeps freezing.
oh well
he's missing a bunch of meat
There not bream there bluegill
they are whatever you call them .Around here we call them Bream. They eat good regardless of what you call them. Capt. Buster
Wasting a lot of meat
waste.
