Storm…I was so disappointed at her demise. She is my absolute favourite, the first female heroine/superhero I became obsessed with as a child in the 90’s. My brother would buy me comics every month, which is why I was always so gutted that in this film franchise they passed Storm an “Omega level mutant” off as this beta level deputy principal. Though the Tornado scene in X2 is still my favourite scene of hers from the films. On a side note, the actor Adan Canto, who played Sunspot (Guy engulfed/absorbed in Solar flames) in this film, passed away January this year. I would have loved to had seen more of his character. He and Halle Berry also did another film together called Bruised, it’s definitely worth a watch.
Favorite X movie is Xmen 1. It may not be the best, but it finally made a superhero movie serious and put them in semi believable situations. I was so worried that it would be campy, but it held it's own. Not the best Xmen movie but still my favorite by the way they handled it with real respect to the characters. With that said, they can now get away with giving them comic accurate costumes, which will be awesome and we just saw from the Deadpool 3 trailer that Wolvie finally gets his comic costume. X-Men Days of The Futur Past Because it's Avengers Infinity Wars X-Men Sagas and More Fidelity Comics Book. It's First Multivers Movies before Spider-Verse Animation and Avengers Endgame and More
Sentinels for me was probably the most scariest villains in the X Men series as they have no emotion whatsoever and no self preservation. You can't reason with them or stop them as they can adapt to anything.
I'm pretty certain by this point Logan has all of his memories back. Hinted at i think but definitely shown when he remembered what he was doing pretty confidently at the time he woke up after being sent to the past which was before stryker and losing his memories
Peter Maximoff is Quicksilver here, there was a contractual loophole that allowed the MCU to use Quicksilver as well, but the MCU version is more comic accurate as far as name and accent and everything but the X-Men version portrayed his speed powers a lot better
storm was originally supposed to be the last one to survive the fight in the future timeline but halle berry was pregnant at the time and couldn’t be on wires that much so they cut a good amount of her action scenes
Iceman is one of the few OMEGA mutants in the X-Men franchise. Storm and Jean are also OMEGA. The sum of their power can’t be quantified. It’s almost limitless.
I was 12 when the first X-men came out. At the end Magneto said “there is a war coming” and in that moment all I could think was “ Days of Future Past” comic story. Every since I was hoping for the movie and it took 14 yrs and I was very pleased
I think Trask being shown was meant to show that the Sentinel program will always be built by humanity. They just change when it happens and how it happens, but it always happens, in most universes.
To answer your question about how strong a mutant Rogue is...in the main comic storyline, early on (when she was hanging around with Mystique and less good mutants) there was an occasion when she attacked Carol Danvers (as in Captain Marvel). She absorbed Carol's powers but due to certain complications during the incident....it went wrong and became a permanent absorption. Carol was without powers for a long while. They did eventually return but Rogue also retained the abilities. So for pretty much all of her history in x-men comics Rogue has had the powers of Carol Danvers (and you already know how powerful she is from the MCU).
@@marlonclark-pp9wgno they are not did you actually read the original X-men magneto was literally a generic villain. His background didn’t change until Claremont started writing them.

Warpath is great. He is essentially Man+, the ultimate in human physical perfection. His mutation gives him unparalleled physical strength, speed, reflexes, durability, regeneration, and senses turned up not just to 11, but to 17. One of the underappreciated X-Men :D Peter Maximoff is Quicksilver, and you've seen him before in the MCU, he's Wanda's brother. He's Marvel's Flash, and also the son of Magneto in the comics (although they did a weird retcon thing recently where this is apparently not true for no real reason) :P Also in the comics, Madison Jefferies, aka Box, is a mutant who can psionically reshape plastic, metal, and glass. You asked about a mutant who could control plastic, well there you go :D
So glad you enjoyed it, I remember seeing the trailer and getting a different feel about it and it's the best X-Men movie imo. I'm a type of viewer who watches from start to finish, the long convo at the ending I really like. And I'm glad you said the pyramids were made around 10k years ago, that's more accurate than what we've all been taught that it was only made around 4000 years ago!
I’m glad yall clocked that this Quicksilver is a variant of the Quicksilver we see in Age of Ultron! It’s gonna make the rest of the series so much more satisfying. 🗣️ THE MRS. IS SO SMART!!! 😍
Logan was the only one who experienced the timeline. But since prof x can read minds, prof x basically downloaded the memories, or updated his files with logans.
In the comics and the Xmen cartoons from my childhood Rogue is super badass because at one point she permanently steals Captain Marvel's powers so she can fly and has super strength on top of being able to steal others power.
My two favorite X-Men stories from way back are "God Loves, Man Kills" and "Days of Future Past", both adapted into my favorite X-movies. God Loves, Man Kills became X2. In that comic, William Stryker was a religious zealot, not a military guy.
In Days of Future Past, time travel works like Back to The Future... the original timeline is erased/changed by the actions of time travelers. The MCU went with the opposite approach, where the original timeline never changes, just new ones created. In the MCU, all those living beings who came back from being snapped away by Thanos weren't restored just because of time travel, they were still dust when the Avengers returned to the future. Hulk had to perform another snap using the infinity stones to bring them back. All the time travel accomplished was to bring back a set of stones enabling them to perform that feat.
This movie is adapted from the comics, Uncanny Xmen 141 & Uncanny Xmen 142. In the original story its Kitty Pryde who goes back in time to warn the others, Logan stays behind to defend against the sentinels. In the conext of the movie, it was the right choice to change the messenger to Logan. It's an amazing movie, happy you two loved it!
COMIC BOOK FYI: This movie is an alteration on the comic book story line "Days of Future Past" by Chris Claremont & John Byrne. Both men are exceptional comic book talents. Chris Claremont is known as one of the top tier writers. John Byrne is known for both his writing and artwork. Comic Book Rouge was a Beta level mutant (ranked Class 3 by movie terms). Overtime, with Charles Xavier's help, she gains the control to not hurt anyone. This upgraded her to Alpha level (movie Class 4). She is capable of temporarily absorbing Omega level powers (movie Class 5). She does have limits on how much power she can absorb, but that limit is so high it is almost never reached.
Dude, never thought of you as a nerd until this moment when you are engaging in a serious debate about whether or not humans or mutants are more dangerous. 😂 Welcome! I love this so much.
It’s not a debate though… mutants by definition are more dangerous. They can do everything humans can do plus significantly more they can build all the weapons and they can do things 1 million times more advanced than humans could dream of. It’s crazy to me that people are even debating this.
Exactly. The best X-Men movie and possibly the best Marvel Comics movie. But I do not like this Rogue Cut. The theatrical cut is packed and edited perfectly.
But if you remember, Erik was also shot by the cure. 4 times in fact and we saw by the end that his powers were coming back in that same movie, so it doesn’t really matter. I think the point was that if you’re that powerful it will slowly end up coming back
Wanda wasn't shown but was mentioned/referenced. When Logan, Eric & Hank go see Peter, his mom tells the little sister to go upstairs to her sister's room (Wanda) . Wanda couldn't be shown because of MCU .
In the comics they changed the story, Wanda and Pietro were never mutants, the High Evolutionary messed with them earlier in their lives. So Magneto isn't their father.
Peter's little sister in this movie is Lorna Dane, aka Polaris, who in the comics is another one of Magento's children who has the same powers as Magneto and a different mother than Peter and Wanda. Wanda is off camera in a deleted scene in this movie.
In the comics they changed the story, Wanda and Pietro were never mutants, the High Evolutionary messed with them earlier in their lives. So Magneto isn't their father.
Stryker: "I'll take him from here." Viewers: "Oh, so that's how he gets him!" Stryker: (flashes Mystique eyes for no reason whatsoever) Viewers: "Wait... that's stupid and doesn't make any sense."
31:35 Roug is a class 3 mutant (Gamma), mutants of this category have a defective gene that makes them sometimes powerful, but many times they are unable to control their power, she cannot control who absorbs the power because it happens with contact. In addition to this, in the original version, unlike the movies, she cannot control the power she absorbs, which is often dangerous for her own team...
Sentinel program was discontinued in 1973 timeline, when Logan woke up in the present they never existed. And, since Mystique DIDN'T kill anyone, Erik went back to constructing "The Brotherhood of Mutants". The discussion at the end, conflict is predicated on the premise that there are 'good mutants' and 'bad mutants'. Erik is determined to get to humans before they get to him, and there are other mutants that are working against that conflict.
Rogue is an Alpha level mutant which is like 2nd most powerful class if i remember correctly for example Magneto is Omega level and Wolverine is Beta level because lets be real at the end he just has claws and regeneration
I’ve never seen the Rogue cut in full. I’ve only ever seen it in reactions. But I did see the original movie. And at the time of seeing the original movie, I was really mad that Anna Paquin got so much press and advertisement. Because they had a series of movie posters and not only did get her own, but the one where there was a group shot, she was in a large and prominent position. And I couldn’t understand why. Because literally in the original theatrical movie, she was only in it when Logan woke up at the very end and saw her and Bobby talking down the hallway after everything was fine. She had no lines and was in it for literally seconds. But yeah, Kitty was really struggling. And Logan did still cut her. The crazy thing to think about is that time was moving forward at the same pace in both timelines. It took Logan a few days to get everyone together and to have that battle with the sentinel robots. Which means Kitty/Rogue had to be sitting at the head of Logan and concentrating without moving for multiple days. No eating and no bathroom! That really sucked for them! 😅💙💙💙
After end credits, Apocalypse, my favorite X-Men villain, at least in the comics and cartoon. This movie changed the time line so the first three movies didn't happen like they were depicted. Rogue is an Alpha level mutant. Omega's are the top tier which is Magneto, Charles and Jean Grey. Rogue cut is an extended version, adds in Rogue's scene if I'm not mistaken and a few other scenes.
Just a few examples of what I think about levels: 5 Phoenix 4 Xavier Magneto 3 Rogue Storm 2 Cyclops Colossus Mystique Wolverine Lower level mutants (eg Mystique) can do so so much amazing stuff with their 'gifts' but can't destroy an army like a Phoenix could.
Re: Treating Mutants as Nukes... This is essentially the same argument that was made in the Avengers - and led to the Sokovia Accords that led to Civil War... that storyline was an adaptation from the comics that started with the "Mutant Registration Act" that later became the "Superhero Registration Act" ... and a similar Civil War Your position on the mutants here is funny when you were on the other side with the Sokovia Accords....

In the comics they changed the story, Wanda and Pietro were never mutants, the High Evolutionary messed with them earlier in their lives. So Magneto isn't their father.
@@SKIP-yj3xpthey’re in the process of changing that back with trial of magneto
I have the comics when he found out they were his children. I'll have to read "The trial of Magneto" to compare the stories.@@Cream-2128
Hallelujah!!
The best X-Men movie.....
This is the standard that Kevin Fiege must continue on...
Fiege is a talentless hack. He’s been exposed ever since ousting Ike Perlmutter from the MCU. The primary architect of the M-She-U we have now.
He won't. Feige's great solution for everything is: add more cameos.

I am subbed because of the way you talk! You and the Missus are hilarious, charming, goofy... two people I would kick it with and just laugh all day.
And at least once in every video, you make me laugh out loud at something crazy you say, or how you say it. I'm usually cooking and my husband is like "what's going on?" Hahaha.
I think I'm gonna start putting time stamps on all your vids when you say something that just tickles me.

@@3Kings_Industries Not yet, amigo,it's gonna be a while before we even get a decent new X-Men movie. Some years away.
I love the way they continue the story from X-Men First Class and the story from the original movies, this movie kind feels like the endgame of the X-Men franchise with the way they show respect to the history of the X-Men films.
Talking about all the history stuff but I think you missed the JFK part. Remember what Erik was in prison for? Remember the bullet chasing Mystique?

I didn't see Clockstoppers, but I did see Over the Hedge. The squirrel, Manny, who is already hyperactive, downs an energy drink, and something similar happens.
X-Men Days of The Futur Past Because it's Avengers Infinity Wars X-Men Sagas and More Fidelity Comics Book.
It's First Multivers Movies before Spider-Verse Animation and Avengers Endgame and More
My dear Georgia friends, it always warms my heart when Mrs. O gets the giggles.
Sentinels for me was probably the most scariest villains in the X Men series as they have no emotion whatsoever and no self preservation. You can't reason with them or stop them as they can adapt to anything.
And they won't stop until they complete their mission.
This is the best of the X-Men movies imo, aside from X-1. So hype you guys got to it so quick. 🙏🏻
Fact.. 🤝👍💪
Great pace with the reactions as always
Apocalypse and Dark Phoenix are now levels higher compared to madame web 😂😂😂
and It's Morbin time
storm was originally supposed to be the last one to survive the fight in the future timeline but halle berry was pregnant at the time and couldn’t be on wires that much so they cut a good amount of her action scenes
Because of the time travel, Professor X was able to correct a lot of his mistakes.
X-Men days of future past let's go!!

Iceman is one of the few OMEGA mutants in the X-Men franchise. Storm and Jean are also OMEGA. The sum of their power can’t be quantified. It’s almost limitless.
Mybe in comics but in movies and in comics only Jean is omega level 5 mutant ❤
@@Superfoczka1 which is a shame because they had numerous opportunities to show the different levels of the mutants powers.
You forgot Rogue!
@@Rynzler-vh7xc Rogue is not an Omega level mutant in the films, cartoons or comics.
Definitely one of my favourite of the franchise along with 2 and First Class.
I was 12 when the first X-men came out. At the end Magneto said “there is a war coming” and in that moment all I could think was “ Days of Future Past” comic story. Every since I was hoping for the movie and it took 14 yrs and I was very pleased
This is one of the best X Men movies, can't wait until you get to Logan

Warpath is great. He is essentially Man+, the ultimate in human physical perfection. His mutation gives him unparalleled physical strength, speed, reflexes, durability, regeneration, and senses turned up not just to 11, but to 17. One of the underappreciated X-Men :D
Peter Maximoff is Quicksilver, and you've seen him before in the MCU, he's Wanda's brother. He's Marvel's Flash, and also the son of Magneto in the comics (although they did a weird retcon thing recently where this is apparently not true for no real reason) :P
Also in the comics, Madison Jefferies, aka Box, is a mutant who can psionically reshape plastic, metal, and glass.
The rogue cut is exactly what you saw just rogue in 3 sceens
Y’all are one of the few reactors to watch everything in order👍🏾
Thank you your reaction guys 😊 I remember being soo hype when this movie came out I loved the story but perhaps because im a huge X-Men fan 😅
It's so good!
I don't mind "The Last Stand" but I've always Loved how this one re-writes history to give those X-Men a Happier Ending: Thank You👏Bryan Singer!
Are we all forgetting that Rogue took the cure in The Last Stand? I know this is not the main cut and fox didn't care about the continuity
Well now that it changes anything, I don't think rogue took anything. What happened in X-Men 3 never happened
@@asiaroberson3442 this timeline is still so confusing 😮💨
But if you remember, Erik was also shot by the cure. 4 times in fact and we saw by the end that his powers were coming back in that same movie, so it doesn’t really matter. I think the point was that if you’re that powerful it will slowly end up coming back
Wanda wasn't shown but was mentioned/referenced. When Logan, Eric & Hank go see Peter, his mom tells the little sister to go upstairs to her sister's room (Wanda) . Wanda couldn't be shown because of MCU .

@@SKIP-yj3xp Yes, I meant originally. Before the retcons
Stryker: "I'll take him from here."
Viewers: "Oh, so that's how he gets him!"
Stryker: (flashes Mystique eyes for no reason whatsoever)
Viewers: "Wait... that's stupid and doesn't make any sense."
How they killed bishop is exactly how his power works he absorbs energy and then can redirect it
Apocalypse was a HUGE storyline in the comics, so I was hyped by that post credit scene... my reaction to that movie can wait until you see it
Rogue is an Alpha level mutant which is like 2nd most powerful class if i remember correctly for example Magneto is Omega level and Wolverine is Beta level because lets be real at the end he just has claws and regeneration
Just a few examples of what I think about levels:
5 Phoenix
4 Xavier Magneto
3 Rogue Storm
2 Cyclops Colossus Mystique Wolverine
Lower level mutants (eg Mystique) can do so so much amazing stuff with their 'gifts' but can't destroy an army like a Phoenix could.
My brother. "He looks like Chris Cristie" fucking slayed me
He did lol
Re: Treating Mutants as Nukes...
This is essentially the same argument that was made in the Avengers - and led to the Sokovia Accords that led to Civil War... that storyline was an adaptation from the comics that started with the "Mutant Registration Act" that later became the "Superhero Registration Act" ... and a similar Civil War
Your position on the mutants here is funny when you were on the other side with the Sokovia Accords....
