Yeah, but I'd say those were years that Eric wasted, not Charles. Eric was an extremist who chose to regard all non-mutants as his enemies, as well as any mutants who didn't share his beliefs. Don't forget that in X2 he tried to use Charles to kill ALL humans, and left Charles behind to die. For all his claims to be fighting for mutants, he was also willing to use other mutants as pawns and abandon them when they were no longer useful to him. So how would it have been possible for things to have been any different? Is he saying that he wishes that Charles had joined his fight, or is he saying that he should have stayed with Charles and chosen a more peaceful path? Or is he saying that he wished they'd met in the middle somewhere? I can't imaging what that middle position would be.
On how Magneto tooks control of the Sentinels: it shows him taking the microfilm plans for the Sentinels right before following Raven out the window after shooting her. Erik Lehnsherr is actually a genius, he is an engineer who impressed both Tony Stark and Reed Richards. He's also a genius genetist. The movies don't portray it as much, but he is on par, if not often ahead of Charles when it comes to intellect. Also the plane scene always breaks my heart, and Charles saying his heart is broken. This is my favorite X-Men movie of all time. We waited so long for it and it did not disappoint. The Rogue Cut is the best version. I think the X-Men films have some of the best acting in superhero movies.
This was probably the best of all the X-Men films. It's many people's favorite. Not only was it a great plot, we get to see the new actors/characters meet the old and intermix, making the great story that much more exciting. In the comic X-Men: Days of Future Past, it was Bishop that was sent back, but it was a smart choice to change it to Wolverine in the movie, as, we all know, Wolverine (and Hugh Jackman playing him) is the most interesting character in X-Men, so we were all more interested and invested in the movie because of that choice. Quicksilver stole the show with his scene in the Pentagon kitchen. It's the best scene in the already awesome movie. He has one more great scene like this Apocalypse to look forward to. In Marvel comics, Bishop's primary power is absorbing several different types of energy, primarily anything non-kinetic (although, later, he is written as also being able to absorb kinetic energy as well, albeit a smaller amount). Lightning, fire, lasers, plasma, even magic and psychic energy can be absorbed by him to extreme amounts. What he can do with the stored energy is use it to fire his own energy bolts, or hold onto it to increase his physical strength and give him some measure of invulnerability and recuperative power. A cool character, but no Wolverine in terms of how interesting he is to comic readers and movie goers.
This is the end of the series for me in terms of “team” X-Men movies. I watched and loved Deadpool and Logan and liked Deadpool 2 well enough but I was really left wanting with Apocalypse. I was so underwhelmed I didn’t bother with Dark Phoenix or New Mutants

The Rogue Cut is even better! When Wolverine freaks out after seeing Stiker and he cuts Kitty, they go rescue Rogue from the basement of the old X Mansion. They are torturing her and using her abilities to create the new sentinels. Bobby and Magneto go get her. Rogue takes Kitty's power and is the one controlling Wolverine the rest of the movie. I actually lose it when you say “heeey yoooo” hahahahaha never stop please. really good reaction, seb (:
YES- and in fact, when I watch the actual move before watching his reaction, I like to guess where the "HEY YO" moments are, and say them myself when I am watching by myself :P
I remember watching this in cinemas so distinctly. Was fucking awesome. Probably my favorite comic book movie (like the from the popcorn comic book movies, not the artsie ones)
been waiting for this one!
10:35 This is where the fun begins
Absolutely the best Quicksilver!! There’s another iconic Quicksilver scene in X-men Apocalypse
THEIR BEST MOVIE!! Tied with and rivaled by only one other
the prison break out super speed scene is still one of my favourite scenes of all xmen movies and this really did a masterful job of combining the two x-men series in a way that makes sense and yet allows them to retcon a lot of the more... questionable stuff.
