This is an amazing journey into the world of mutants, where the past and the future mix. Director Bryan Singer carefully brought a complex plot based on a comix to the screen and created an immersive experience for the audience. One of the highlights of the movie is its cast. The cast includes both veterans of the series and new faces. Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen return as Professor Xavier and Magneto, completing a dynamic tandem with James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender, representing the younger versions of these characters. The plot, based on the concept of time loops and changes in chronology, provides the viewer with an exciting maze of events. The action moves between two timelines, creating tension and emphasizing the importance of each decision made for the future of mutants. Scenes using mutant abilities look great, and cinematic battles bring dynamism and tension to the plot. This film successfully combines sci-fi elements, drama and action scenes, creating one of the best mutant films in the Marvel cinematic universe. This movie is a must for fans of superhero genres and provides an interesting twist in the plot of the X-Men series. Thank you for your reaction! 🫶🫶🏻🫶🏼
The scene between Charles and Erik on the plane gives me chills every time. "You abandoned me!" "You abandoned us all!" I know you gotta be Heath Ledger to crack the Oscars from one of these movies, but that was that level performance in my eyes.
Ladies, if you remember, in the third film, they were practicing against Sentinels in the holographic “Danger Room” at the mansion. They were designed based on the comics version of them.
One thing about Mystique's powers, she takes on the appearance of other people or mutants. But not their abilities. That's why The Rogue Cut of this movie is more important. Rogue is the mutant that can gain someone else's ability.
@@raveoreynolds6049 Wolverine's claws are a physical, secondary mutation, that could be copied. His primary ability is healing, which she can't copy any more than she could Cyclops' eye beams.
Magneto is my all time favorite villain maybe character in marvel because his power is unmatched😭 the scene of him carrying a whole ass stadium is amazing, the first movie with him lifting a submarine out the water was nuts and him moving the golden gate bridge👌🏼 this movie really is the best xmen movie fr
I know Magy has seen it, but if Laura hasn't, next up would be Deadpool. Otherwise, the film after that (which is what's referenced in the end credits scene) is X-Men: Apocalypse. - Deadpool (early 2016) - X-Men: Apocalypse (mid-2016) - Logan (2017) - Deadpool 2 (2018) - X-Men: Dark Phoenix (2019) - The New Mutants (2020)
As harrowing as that first sequence is, seeing most of our beloved cast dying like that, it serves a purpose too - explaining us how Kitty and Bishop manage to stay ahead of the Sentinels and protect everyone else. Furthermore, we see how Wolverine will "travel" to the past in order to change the future. Both Charles and Raven had some consistent character development in this movie but the "future" and "past" versions of Charles conversing with each other stood out more than anything else. Quicksilver stole the show every single time he appeared on screen. This movie really managed to emphasize just how powerful he is and the humor was top notch. As much as Charles and Erik argued in the "past", all that drama and anger between them stood in such stark contrast with how close their "future" selves are. That final handshake between them was charged with emotion. The ending was incredibly satisfying, seeing Logan back into a peaceful "future", everyone happy and smiling, all the people he lost along the way and that conversation with Charles just fills your heart with joy. The post credits scene is mindblowing, seeing this mysterious figure building the pyramids really makes you wonder about the next movie. Thank you for the sensible commentary, the emotional discussion and the absolutely amazing reaction ❤
How did they not reboot it? Wasn't this one the one that corrected the continuity issues? While it's great seeing Rogue again, I've never understood why the Rogue Cut is the better version or why it was necessary.
@@passionsquietrage it was necessary because Rogue is one of the first new mutants we meet in the first X-Men. She’s always been one of the main team members in the comics, and she’s never been done justice in live action. Hell this is the last time we ever see or hear from her in this universe. And it wasn’t a successful reboot because in Logan takes place only a few years after this film, they say there hasn’t been new mutant been born in over 20 years but we see kids in the school in the end of this movie.
@@thedarkknight2221 Those kids were obviously the last mutants born, or Charles achieved his dream of having a school for both humans and mutants and those kids we saw were normal kids. I do agree that Rogue(among many others) deserved better treatment in the movies, but she never wanted her powers to begin with. Her not being around so much may have been due to Anna Paquin not being available for more than we got due to being in True Blood.
@@passionsquietrage yeah but if you see her in interviews you’ll see how much she loves this character and would’ve figured out scheduling on how to do her show and these movies at the same time. Thanks for The Rogue Cut, girls. This is absolutely the best way to experience this masterpiece for the first time. I don't know how they could cut those amazing scenes with Rogue from the theatrical cut, but I'm glad you saw the whole movie.
Not to me. The killer pace is totally bogged down by unnecessary or meaningless subplots. Like the make out scene between Mystique and Beast... it doesn't have any follow through. It doesn't go anywhere or amount to anything. They ruined the perfectly crafted scene where Magneto raids the Pentagon and the good, exciting scene of Magneto and Bobby rescuing Rogue by mashing them together. But someone like Rogue who can absorb powers? That’s a way better explanation for how the Sentinels can adapt to any mutant.
Ah yes this film was pretty damn good
The X-Men movies go downhill after this one.
I absolutely loved this movie! The best one of all of them.
Please React To Rear Window - 1954 & Zodiac - 2007.
best x-men movie ever 🙌
31:14 "There's a theory in quantum physics that time is immutable. It's like a river. You can throw a pebble into it and create a ripple, but the current always corrects itself."
But isn't it part of the general, underlying philosophy of science that every of field of science exists because there's _always_ a gap between the Universe as best we understand it and the Universe as it actually _exists?_ And isn't it true that in _no_ field of science is this more the case than within quantum physics?
And besides, what business does _science_ have, presuming to tell us we're wasting our time? Isn't it our time to waste in _any_ event?
My favorite ❤
Loving these X-Men movie reactions ❤
49:23 "Even I am getting a little bit confused."
Quantum mechanics can be a _very_ confusing subject.
Aaaa It's awesome that you watched the movie so close to its 10th anniversary!
The best X-Men movie of all time. The Rogue Cut makes this movie even more epic
