Giant Hammerhead Sharks Hunting Blacktip Sharks 3

- Опубліковано 7 лип 2024
- For the third straight year, we have had the privilege of filming giant hammerhead sharks hunting blacktip sharks off the beaches in Florida. The average size of a blacktip shark is 6ft in length, with an estimated weight of around 80lbs. The hammerhead sharks are much larger, measuring over 14ft in length and weighing well over 1000lbs. We filmed some incredible footage with our drone of giant hammerhead sharks hunting and eating blacktip sharks within the beach's swimming distance.

always the big one preys on the little ones
So its the morning of the 6/3/2020, I am on the beach lost 2 Blacktip sharks, both were cut off to a 14ft Hammerhead shark of which happened to almost eat both of my sharks that morning. This shark was cruising up and down the trough literally metres off the beach in front of where I was fishing. So I jump on the phone to Josh a good friend of mine and convinced him to come down with his drone, this is the footage he filmed, It was one of those life experiences a person would never forget. The shark swam past my swim within a few metres from the shore several times. I added on one of my pages additional photos I have from that morning, incredible sight, one I am sure to cherish forever.
Wow, you weren't joking when you said it was close.....
How big would you say the dorsal fin is?
@@youthunder9783 at times when it turned in the shallows it almost got stuck, lol.
@@craigfountain4985 I would estimate about 2.5-3ft

Swimming in the ocean is like walking into an African game reserve in your underpants.
I'd feel like anytime a human steps out of a city/town/county, we go from top of the food chain to being in the food chain 😂
Did that in Tsavo Kenya not thinking. I was wearing pants and shoes though.

Went down to Florida to see the blacktip migration just because of your videos. One of the most beautiful and amazing things for someone who loves fishing to see. Caught blacktips one after another like they were bluegill. You’re the reason I wanted to fish for blacktips!! Thank you sir
Great to see Jorge Posada enjoying his passions after retirement. Good for him.
Hip hip, JORGE!
Hammerheads are my favorite shark, it's sad to see them endangered because of humans.
Same here man, they are so derpy looking but awesome
@trha2222 these are the same people who say we need a plague and when the 1st sigh of covid came panicked and ran for toilet papers
Doesn't this channel promote it?

If they’re endangered how is it so easy to find them swimming next to a public beach?

That's Crazy!!! I wish the Texas Coast had the same fishing opportunities as the Florida Coast. Y'all have some of the best fishing in the world.
I know. It's kinda unreal to see sharks that big hunting so close to shore.
I go Land-based Shark Fishing so to see a Hammerhead that size so close to shore is amazing. Catching a 1000lb shark from shore is something I dream about.
it probably use to be nice before all the oil rigs messed up the water
@@joseguzman5875 actually they work like an artificial reef, lots of fish congregate around them and its a popular spear fishing location.
@@Ciridan let me be more clear, oil spills messed up the water. I know a lot of people from texas the say that the beaches are oily and dont recommend swimming in them.

He’s is amazing an you tuber and fisherman he brightens my day when he post
id like to know what beach this is so i never go swimming there!
Kinda looked like Lantana to me
Doesn't matter. If you've been in the water in Florida you've been among these sharks. You mostly can't see them from the beach or when you're in the water because of the way light refracts off the surface. But ask anyone who flies banners up and down those beaches, the sharks are right there up amongst the swimmers and waders. I've seen some bloody big ones too, its just not a problem.......most of the time lol
Martin Walker there all over ny beaches big bulls never been here before and they closed swimming

Seeing life in these most natural forms, is something truly special. Nature never seizes to amaze me, in what species we have, inhabiting our globe, our home. So we must coexist with these other creatures, and, occasionally, get to enjoy them, thanks to great people, like Josh, and his team. Respect nature, and those living in it. Thank you Josh, and your team, for such an amazing channel, for such awesome videos, and such awesome portrayals, of nature at its best. 👍😀

Awesome footage, Josh. Hope to see the shark migration this winter when we get down there.
Man reaction to the sight of the shark: let's not go into the ocean in fact let's get if the beach!
Incredible footage...awesome drone shots..the water is so crystal clear...
Beautiful shots! It’s so interesting to see the hunt
That was amazing....What most of us don’t know is just how close many sharks come into beaches...using the gutters created by tides and rips...bravo Sir
I watched hammerheads hunt blacktips at Manalapan Beach in Palm Beach County last year. The hammerheads were swimming in 2 feet of water and a few black tips almost beached themselves. You should of seen this one lady who would not get out of the water. A hammerhead swam between her and the beach while she was only in 3 feet of water.. She screamed so loud... LOL
