    This was most definitely not boring! If anything I love these detailed explanations because it makes much more sense to me now. Speed comes from small moves - I haven't thought of that before. Love it.

    Super important nuance of fighting explained effortlessly in the beginning, It sounds obvious hearing It in hindsight but as a more casual fan without as much combat experience I love hearing guys like you and Cruz break things down, you both have a great way at being concise and still easy to understand, would love to see you do commentary too.

    Hey Cory! What do you think of DDP's stance? He has his back leg really spring'd up lol, but I think it's the reason why he's able to generate so much power. Wdyt?

    • @kaioneal6160
      @kaioneal6160 9 місяців тому +3

      DDP gets most of his knockouts in mid range. That’s where his stance changes to generate power.
      When his back leg is spring’d up. its usually to pepper his opponent with straight punches, until he says an opening to throw with power or when he thinks his opponent will approach, he will sit down on his punches

    Im down with this. I got decent power, er better than decent but I really want speed. Speed with control. I really feel like that's what I need. I think lightening everything up would be better for me cuz the way I do things makes me really tired really quick.

    • @fyelow9123

      Hey bro, developing speed is a lot about correct technique (A - B strikes with no telegraph) and being loose with the transfer of your weight.
      Watch DK Yoo's videos on speed - Although he might not be a good fighter his speed is undeniable and there is a lot to learn there
      Bruce Lee's Paper Punching exercise
      50 of any strike empathising speed coupled with full extension / correct technique
      Skipping
      Plyrometrics
      Yoga with Adriene
      Vahva Fitness Shoulder Mobility
      These are some good ones to get started ^ don't be scared to go down a rabbit hole and find unorthodox ways to increase your speed. Study fast fighters from all aspects and find what makes them fast
      Another thing that will be important is using speed to throw distracting shots that open up your power shots, the finish in Sean O'malley vs Paiva shows this well
