Finally man I’ve been waiting on something like this from Cory ever since that excerpt of him on JRE talking about understanding of space. The octagon has an abundance of space and I feel like a shift in focus towards space management can take mma striking to the next level. High level content from Cory as always.
Check out A Million Styles Boxing with coach Barry for more on space and movement efficiency. Some of the brainiest striking content I've come across between these two.
A video on stance switching, the nuances of, what’s going through your mind of when you want to switch, etc. would be very cool. You’re one of my favorite fighters and love that aspect of your game. Going to rewatch the yan fight now, even though the judges didn’t give it to you it’s still one of my favorites fights of yours to watch. Artwork.
Definitely need more videos on distance control. Really hard to find good videos on yt that thoroughly explain the concept of distance control and how to utilize it
Blows my mind how much video games helped me in my adult life What Cory is talking about is “spacing” literally in every fighting video game ever, Tekken is the most accurate to real life
Saw the title. Instantly liked. Please make a video on handfighting. What to do. Why like whats the purpose. How to win handfighting (especially with southpaws) Etc
This videos are so helpful, love the format. You might want to think about making playlists for the course snippets and the fight breakdowns for when your channel has lots of videos it stays organized.
dude i wish more coaches preach this. I hate when coaches just regurgitate "keep ur hands by ur face" as if its like the only and best defense. I get why they do that but it really only goes so far.
Cory! Always great content of course. But You should make these vids different. I think your editor should create an intro and make these look like Public Access shows from the 90s. The internet would eat it up if you give it a goofy spin. Trust.
IMHO - - - Too many "MMA Gyms" and "coaches" just teach whatever they watch on UFC/YT. Personally I've experienced several (bad) coaches that conducted practice basically like "hey, I saw this thing. Let's drill this." I've had several other coaches (good) that taught actual strategy like CS here. This is wise. Follow this. Even if you're a beast in training/drilling, you ain't shit in live sparring/fighting. Live sparring/fighting is way too unstructured/fast to just string a bunch of individual moves together. Live is also very complex. You need to rely on muscle memory to perform before your brain tells the body what to do. Cory's simple/effective strategies are awesome.
I tend to be more of a pressure cuz thats where i had success i would like help on circling tho and how to do it effectively without feeling like im losing getting pressured backwards agains the fence
Bro😂 I’m so tapped in with the ufc world and have never heard a single person say this, where did this come from? Number 2 no lmao he’s obviously not , no one drops 60 pounds each weight cut that’s impossible, he also posts himself on instagram and a 60 pound difference is the most noticeable thing in the world, you think bros 60 pounds heavier in this video then normally?
Don't forget about trying your best not to engage your opponent in striking as evidenced by your last fight. And just win by any means even if that means being a panzy 😴 💤

Corey's fight IQ seems to be the pinnacle of the current fighter.
Shoutout to Cory! Hope we see you fight soon in Octagon!
He’s injured, bro. Probably gonna be a minute 😢
Hopefully the next contender for the belt!

A video on how you make reads and gather information on your opponent, or how to condition them to eventually be hit by a technique.
This would be super interesting! +1

Excellent! In Kenpo we have 4 ranges: out of range, contact, contact penetration, and contact manipulation. Whoever controls these distances wins.
This videos are so helpful, love the format.

This makes me want to move to Colorado so I can train here.
Damn that bass line dropped with the cold open and I thought I clicked a beat😂
chito takin notes
When the thumbnail is hella accurate
I think the ufc uses the apex to sway fights in the favor of while they want to win as well. Just my opinion
Thank you for all this free knowledge, now I can talk my girlfriend's ear off when I get her to watch a UFC event.

if you don’t have confidence in your cosches and they dont hold your opinion of any value dont be coached by them
I wish I lived in co so I could get coached by Cory like Elias does.
Dont give away all the secrets Cory!

1 on 1 padwork for boxing & kickboxing, how to practice techniques for real life simulation

I tend to go backwards alot without even knowing it and when i circle i feel i feel like im circling into attacks giving ground to pressure fighters
i had a feeling the video would be filled with yapping
It’s necessary yapping
is it true that youre 6'1 and 200lbs out of camp?

@@logancohan theres this guy called rigo who says this a lot, he must be what you'd call a hater
Totally lost my respect after this, can't believe he's a height bully.
Bro Rigo is just trolling
Space is what Strickland dominated v adesanya, as well as pereira in the second adesanya fight
Pereira never dominated anything in any Adesanya fight
He looks pretty big
