It’s definitively already recession where we live.
By the time most people figure out Gold and Silver are worth having over fiat currency, they will not be able to buy Gold and Silver. It will be too expensive at that time. You will hear people saying, "Yeah sure, but who can afford it." I do not want to be one of those people saying that. I do not have much but I have some as insurance. I hope I never need it and can pass it along in my family.
I made a remark that $100 silver could mean $25.00 for a chicken or gallon of gasoline. Everybody wanted to argue. I understand the supply/demand equation is out of whack and that silver should be close to $150 per ounce due to past manipulation. I believe that we are going to get hit very hard with inflation due to the past manipulations of the dollar. Nothing can stop this.
I also think they are doing everything they can to hold this back until after the elections. This will make things much worse for many people. With the recent advances in gold and silver prices some people think there is something serious they are not telling us. I believe this is what they are not telling us. Be prepared.

That’s not correct. Your wealth is preserved. In 1980 and 2011 when silver shot up your silver’s purchasing power most definitely rose. I see this fallacious argument made quite often. Think of it this way, when a currency eventually becomes worthless, you can trade in your silver after the reset, but trading in your prior currency will get you next to nothing.

When prices jump 10% in one day, than it is obvious, that hyperinflation has started.
Three of my grandparents lived through the German hyper-inflation in the early 1920s. I have some stamps from that time including one for 4 Trillion Marks to mail a letter. My German relatives got paid twice a day at one point because the inflation was so bad, your money was worth less at the end of they day than it was at lunch time. It got to the point where merchants weighed the bundles of cash instead of counting it. I know one of my grandfathers bought bricks and lumber with any extra money because they held their value. All of this happened because the French and British took all the silver and gold as reparations after WWI. The German paper money wasn't backed by anything.
I always say history repeats itself. Hearing stories like this makes me want to do all I can to prepare for another situation like your grandparents went through. Sadly, this has happened many times after ww1. Sad how some of our ancestors have been through this situations. One of the last countries to face harsh financial system meltdown is Venezuela. Some people bartered pieces of a gold chain for things. Haircut, and groceries and eating at a restaurant.
My Jewish, German grandmother told me of horror stories. Fortunately her, and family left before it was too late. Where do we go before it’s too late. She warned me to believe with your eyes. Paper, and propaganda are nothing.
Those used stamps are more valuable than the unused stamps because they were only useful for a very short period of time. I had a bunch of "new" stamps - a whole series. Worth almost nothing.

Yup, she's right. The market is up while the currency's value is dropping. Just nuts. I'm still buying stocks, but nothing that's consumer discretionary or much in the way of tech. I'm buying precious metals, utilities, energy, and food. In other words, things that people must have, and they're all dividend payers. I just don't trust companies like Tesla to remain in positions of strength when the poop truly hits the fan. At my work, they're laying off teachers even as our enrollment rises due to the influx of non-taxpaying migrants. I'm paying higher taxes then ever, and receiving the fewest services. The economy is far worse than the talking heads on CNN and CNBC will admit to. Its just gov't spending that's been propping it up, but the debt is simply too high. Save your money! That's the best advice my grandpa ever game me!

Yep thats the way i look at it. I doubt ill be trading gold for dollars, ill be bartering gold for goods. Also depending on what goes on in this country, ammunition and weapons will be very valuable for protection and barter, i saw this coming a long time ago and started prepping. Its going to get bad. We’re a long way from Zimbabwe. In Japanese yen an ounce of gold is around 300,000 yen. In Argentinian pesos an ounce of gold is around 1,962,000. So we’re a long way from those numbers and those nations are still running despite the massive currency debasement…this is good it gives us more time to keep stacking. I think our monetary system will last much longer than many of us in this space are projecting. Even though purchasing power will drop it will keep chugging along.

The only reliable inflation meter is your own experience, and that of your friends and family. So what if CD's and UST are paying 5%? A year ago that meant something, but since then prices of insurance, home maintenance, utilities, taxes, food, gasoline etc. have increased about 30% give or take. So what looked like a gift a year ago no longer looks like one.
