  • In this video, my bullion dealer Tim Marschner of the Coin and Stamp Shop and I are absolutely STUNNED by the discovery of a gold hoard in a customer's possession. Where did all this gold Krugerrands and 5-ounce gold bars come from? How old is this gold and in what condition did they find it? Why did their uncle hide his gold in his attic? Did he communicate the gold's whereabouts before his death? The questions are many, but you are NOT gonna want to miss these two fortunate couples' story about a discovery of a lifetime!
Learn from this video and start stacking silver rounds, silver bars, silver coins, and gold coins--not as a get-rich-quick scheme, but as wealth preservation. Economic collapse is coming! Learn and stack NOW. Protect yourself from out-of-control governments, evil central banks, and the failing US dollar's grip as the world's reserve currency. Make sure you build a stack of silver rounds, silver bars, silver coins, and gold coins as essential barter and wealth preservation!

A lot of envy showing in these comments. It is possible for the uncle to have buried the gold, dug it up, and then stored it in the attic and basement at different times. Or perhaps his brother, their father, stored it in his basement after he recovered the gold. So many possibilities. Family stories often have various versions, when my extended family gets together it interesting to hear the different perspectives of events from the past.
These sisters seemed amazed and grateful for the gift that was bestowed to them. Their uncle made the effort to make sure it was found by family. Doing an asset exchange of some of the gold for a cabin that their family will use sounds like diversification. The other sister said she needed money, how many stackers use their gold as savings?
My only regret it I would have loved to see a video of the original hoard before their father split it up! 😂😂

My father was an OG stacker. Starting in the early 70’s he would travel 120 miles every month to buy gold Krugeraands with part of his and my mother’s paycheque. Frugal doesn’t begin to describe my parents who were children of the depression and young adults in WW2. I think at one point he lost faith in stacking because when he passed, his stack was a fraction of what it had been at its height but was still significant nonetheless. I have 2 siblings and both sold their part of the inheritance for luxuries and vacations while I have concentrated on growing my stack. My father was a hard man but he left an indelible impression on me about the value of delayed gratification, self reliance and the coming financial collapse. I believe he was right about everything he preached, he was just 50 years early.

We had 2 sisters come into the shop I work at with a couple of large Rubbermaid boxes. A bunch of commemorative coins, proof silver eagles, and tons of lower dollar items. As we were looking them over, we asked where it all came from. Their dad has collected for years and they didn't know until he passed. Then we got to a cardboard box that was separated from the rest. As soon as we opened it, we closed it right back up. They asked what's wrong? We had them come to a back office where we could close the door away from other customers. Long story short, that 1 cardboard box had over 300k in gold coins in it. 1oz buffaloes, AGE's, St. Gaudens, $5 Indians, liberty heads, you name it, they were in that box. One of them nearly fainted when we gave her a preliminary idea of value.

After watching this video, I was very sad. Upon reflection it appeared to me that while watching these folks one thing was sorely lacking: a sense of gratitude. They couldn't get their story straight and showed no sense of loss when discussing the soul to whom it originally belonged. Quite the opposite, they were giddy with the "mysterious" bequest. I pray those fortunate enough to receive the labor and sacrifice of my life, will take one moment, particularly in the presence of others, to say something nice or reflect on a fond memory. Sorry Yankee, but something about these folks seemed very untoward. Keep up the good fight. God bless.

Hi Yankee, I’m not sure if this question has been asked but I’ve always been curious. Precious metals are a lot of things to many different people, the stories that are carried along with them and often told once they show up to a shop much like Tim has are sometimes quite questionable. I was wondering how often Tim runs into stories that don’t quite add up, or situations much like this one, where individuals are oblivious to the life-long hard work that went into setting aside tangible wealth? How does Tim set aside judgment or questions and focus simply on the transaction ahead? I always love watching these videos, the lessons you learn from others’ stories in other lanes of ‘wealth management’ aren’t usually so transparent if that makes any sense. It’s hard to hear these types of stories but I hope it serves as a lesson to those who may have relatives that behave this way. Ungrateful and childish even at their age.. that Uncle must’ve faced challenge after challenge in life. Anyway.. fantastic video as always, cheers from MI!
