- in this video i show you how a big table for the sewing studio of laura kampf arises.
with a few wooden slats and osb wood panels. the table has a format of 120x180cm. this is big enough to cut fabric or cut large pieces of leather. of course, you can also cut and process large papers and cardboard. love thanks laura for the beautiful and exciting days with you in the workshop. i hope the table will be useful to you.

Bravo! What fabulous clean open lines to work upon, nice size cutting area, tons of under top storage and the beautiful treadle machine too. My mother loved the treadle machine she got from her grandmother who was a great a formative influence in her life, making all kinds of trendy clothes for my Mother in her teenage years when money was very tight. Very few people now have a sewing machine as clothes are so cheap, but sewing remain a way of expression and utility with out equal and the treadle machines have a soul that is not often found in electric machines. Thanks for sharing!

What an excellent sewing room, I am impressed by the Pfaff machines, I currently own a Pfaff 138 6/21-BS industrial, have owned a number of older Pfaff home machines, I never seen a pfaff treadle machine being used, guess I never did enough searches. The key to proper tailoring of course is having a good sized table to lay pieces out, that is for sure.

That's a great table that I would LOVE to have in my own sewing space!! Though, I would recommend sanding and sealing around the edges to prevent splinters in the skin and/or catching fabric. Otherwise, fantastic job!!
Thats a pretty nice quick table build, until you used OSB as its top without any edge banding or covers D:
yeah, Id fear to rip any pieces of finer cloth :/
but it can be fixed easily :)
I guessed a bag for cornholio, which might not be the right name. Wait, it's cornhole. where you through a bean bag thingy in a wood thingy with holes. nifty.
More likely it is a pattern weight for holding sewing patterns in place on top of the fabric (rather than pinning)

What was the rice pyramid thing for?
They're pattern weights. used to hold down patterns while you cut the fabric out. Better than pins sometimes because they don't make holes.

Fabric snagging OSB...? Couldn't find an old moldy sheet of chipboard full of staples and rusty nails?

ping pong tables work great for sewing tables cause you can fold them up and roll them out of the way.
