Wow Ellen! I am so impressed with you and your fearlessness of trying new things and having fun outside of your comfortzone! The video is very educational-Thank you ❤️
It's amazing what a person can do when they're surrounded by kind, inspirational people that are willing to share their knowledge. Thank you for giving me the freedom to explore ❤
You solved the two problems I’ve always had with picnic tables. Climbing in and out of the seat and not being able to see the other people on your side. Great job. Great video.
Thank you brother. The beauty of making things yourself is that you can adapt the parts you don't like. But you already knew that :)
Same here! This design is perfect 👌
big respect for your work. The design with the round pages is beautiful. It brings the guests into a circle of friendship even though the table is straight. the benches are broken. that's so clever. I've never seen it like that before. your craftsmanship is to be admired. It was nice to eat with you at your table. BRAVO ELEN 🍀💪👍
Thank you Lukas 👍
watching you build this table is the second best thing.
the best thing is sitting at this table with you and all the crew.
i am so proud of you, meimei
I'm so happy I got to share this experience with you ❤🖤
As I told you while eating family dinner, this is brilliant. Where will she go from here? Unstoppable Ellen.
I'm planning a trip to the border planets.
Next stop ship, then Serenity!
It is so thoughtful to make the ends of the table curved so people can see each other and not be excluded! And the shorter benches instead of really long, annoying benches is so smart!! A fabulously thought out design and great execution. And you always explain things so clearly in your videos. Fantastic and enjoyable as always! I love the 10 Makers series so much! Such a lovely bunch of makers and people!
Simple changes can make a big difference 😊 Glad to hear my explanations still make sense, even with this weird fabric!
@@CraftsWithEllen Yes, but not everyone thinks about needing those changes! You appear to be very skilled at bending the weird fabric the way you need it to!
This a well designed and executed picnic table and even without the addition of a herd of inspirational makers, I'm betting it's a joy to sit at, break bread and share banter with family and friends! Well done Ellen! 😁👍🔨🛠
Never in a million years would it have occurred to me to curve the long edges of the table to make it more social. Thanks for the inspiration! Tremendous work, beginning to end! Well done!
I really like the shape of this. And then when you explained why you did it this way, I love it even more and wonder why nobody has thought of this before. 😁 The split benches are also a great idea. I may have to steal this design. Thanks for sharing!
Small changes can make a big difference 😃
Great build Ellen. I love the seating design you did!
Thank you Adam!
That was only your SECOND woodworking project?! Holy carp you’re amazing!!! Legend. 😍
I’m still so impressed!! The table turned out amazing! Love the design and the video! And thanks to Al for saving my place with the blue crate! 😊
You were with us in spirit! ❤
Thank you for the support, advice and helping hands. I greatly appreciate it!!
this is my favorite picnic table i’ve seen. Bench design is brilliant!
So impressive Ellen! I can't believe that's only your second woodworking project. Great design, and fun to see it come together!
Thanks so much Michael!
I made two huge (96"x54") picnic tables for my house without the bench seats. That feeling of everyone sitting down to eat for the first time is awesome! Very well done Ellen! 👍😎👍
I love it when a plan comes together
Amazing! So impressive that this is only your second woodworking project but definitely testament to the idea that skills are transferable.
This is probably the most thougt-out picknick-table design that I have ever seen regarding seating arrangement. Thanks for working with slightly heavier cloth this time around, and thanks for sharing!
Great work Ellen! Really impressive seeing you tackling that big project! And the outcome is really huge and incredible! Just wow
Excellent video and what a brilliant design for the table. They should all be built with the features you added!
Only if you like the people sitting on the other end, otherwise it's best to stick with the normal design
@@CraftsWithEllen Good point. At least the smaller benches make it easier to escape if you don't like somebody at the table!
Great table! Love the curve idea👍👍👍👍
Thanks Gib!
the curved design is genius, it really does make a difference, this is such an ambitious project! i can’t imagine!
That's a huge table and very nice design. Good job Ellen !
Really amazing project. Very inspirational.
Thanks Edward!
Wow. Such a great build and great video. Giving everyone a focal point to get together and share meals and stories, I'm sure this is where your colleagues and fellow makers become true friends. Great project. 👍
Love the design, the curved shape and the segmented benches are awesome.
Well, wow. This is fantastic. Really well done Ellen.
😄
What a simply stunning video! Design, explanations and filming all went together to intrigue us, as evidenced by the comments! Awesome!
Wow! i'm just in awe of what you've done! The table is beautiful and i love the design perfect for fixing the problem of visibility like you said. Way to Go Ellen!
Thank you Chrissy!!
That's a big table for your second woodworking project Ellen. Bravo!!! cool made and like the design.
Go big or go home 😉
Seriously impressive! 😯 Turned out amazing! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼😊
This being your second woodworking project, girl I am so impressed!!! It is really wicked awesome!!! Great job and great video!!
Aww, thanks ☺️
This was not only a great design and an amazing build, it was very inspiring as well! Thanks for sharing.
Awesome work Ellen, great design! 😃👍🏻👊🏻
👊👍
Ellen, this is our favorite #10makers project yet! You kicked butt handling that rigid fabric. Sooo good!!
Just need to find an iron that can straighten this stuff out, all that planing and sanding was a pain...
And there's some good projects still to come, so I'm not cheering just yet 😉😊
@@CraftsWithEllen Haha I think you're on to something! An iron that replaces planing and sanding 🤔🤔🤔.
Wonderful project. Such an amazing collection of people. I love watching you 10Makers. Thank you Ellen!
Hell yeah! 🤘🏽🖤🖤
🔥💪🛠😁
Really fantastic build! I love the design of that table.
Thank you Franco 😊
Absolutely epic build, Ellen. Nicely done!
Great Job! Beautiful looking table and I like the easy access to the seating
Brilliant design, awesome work!!❤🖤
Merci mon frère
Yay! So good to see all the bits I wasn't there for! Such a great build too, you should be so proud of yourself!!
You did a phenomenal job and you just started! Having Laura and the rest of the “Calvalry” to teach you and support you!... what a blessed opportunity really and you deserve some well earned credit too for only your 2nd build to be so well built and visually and functionally stunning and useful! Good job and my fingers are crossed 🤞🏼 for more invites by Laura to build up her shop... what if all the 10 makers did an invite for each ones home to build, fix or add to... what a neat thought!
Bravo! Fabulous that you deviated from the linear lines of almost all other picnic tables and the long bench seats, creating such a unique and social dining experience. It worked superbly well as though this was the spoils of very many woodworking projects, not one at the beginning of your adventures with wood. Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful 🤩🤩🤩 You have now built a table ... now You are a carpenter.🥳
Wonderful design!. Great job.
Thanks Dave!
Fantastic!!! Great video with the step by step process and really appreciate hearing your thought process on the design.
Nice build and an informative yet fun video! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you sir James 😊
I was sketching my version of a picnic table, when I saw this one. And it is amazing how cool it turned out!
I really like this design. Great job!
Absolutely outstanding! I love the design and as always you explain everything so beautifully. So inspiring!
Great video and really well excecuted picnic table. I love the curved table top and short benches, such a good idea😊 you never stop impressing with your stitching skills Ellen😁
Thank you Terje. I need to find some better needles though, my regular ones keep breaking on this stuff..
@@CraftsWithEllen well, since you forged the last pair from tool steel, I guess you have to get your hands on some adamantium to sort that stuff out😉
Fantastic job Ellen! I knew you wouldn't let that funny looking material beat you!! You can do anything!!!
Resistance is futile
Great video--thank you! I like the design, and the seat detail is fantastic!
So brilliant and beautiful of a build.
It is unbelievable that this was only your second wood project. Great work and a great event. Thank you for showing me. Greeting Sascha
A super table, just right for the new workshop. Great implementation and great how you got used to the new fabric and machines!
Great build. I love the addition of the curved sides for better visibility down the length of the table.
Thanks dear
A beautiful design and very well executed Ellen!! Can't wait to see what your 3rd WW project will be!
Cheers from Nova Scotia 🇨🇦
Really cool saying all these friends build projects for Laura! And this is an awesome table 👍🍻
Amazing project with a lot of great ideas.
Great build video of a really well thought out project. Thanks for sharing :)
Glad you like it
Love it! Especially the clever benches and the curved sides - great design!
So good!!!! I miss our big family dinners... hopefully we'll have more together soon ❤️
So many good memories! To be continued :)
For only your second woodworking project, you're totally crushing it! I loved the Instagram posts about working with "this new fabric." That was a really interesting take on what is usually such a bland, utilitarian, design of table. The curved top and benches and the cut-out sections - wow, that was some innovative thinking there!
It's nice to have friends like this amazing "10". Interesting design of the table .Good job and thanks .
Yea! #10Makers! Such a nicely designed and built table. You're awesome. Thx @hikokiuk for sponsoring. Namaste! : )
It was a fun build 😊
I love everything about this build, Great job Ellen 👍
Thanks ⚡⚡⚡
I really like how you did the seats so you don't have to climb into the table. And those curves are brilliant!
Thanks 😃
This is only your second woodworking project?? The design is beautiful and practical, you look and sounds super experienced and the results are great! 👍👍👍👍
Great design and build Ellen.
You seem to be getting a good handle on this stiff fabric! And I love the design concepts behind the pattern.
I didn't have to use my seam ripper once!!
@@CraftsWithEllen That's great! I did see what looked like a seam ripper hanging from your belt.
Sooo cool you did a fantastic job Ellen 👍
Thanks so much Alan!
Great build and video. Love the idea of the sectioned seating, that is brilliant.
Thank you Matthew 😃
Love the smart design. Thanks for sharing. 😎👍👍
I like the shape of the table very much and with many guests at the table the food tastes better.
The more the merrier 😃
Awesome! Love the design 👍🙂
Great job, amazing how quickly these projects get heavy to manoeuvre 🍻👍
As I told you on instagram this table looks awesome and I haven’t realized the problem solving included in the design. Brilliant !
As soon as I can get a house this is my first project !
It is really a great table! 😉
Loved sitting on it with you 🤙🏻✅
This is a very cool table 👍 Well done💪
Thank you!!
Nice that is an excellent second wood project . Good job
Awesome built, awesome video! And its great to see all of you together! Greets from germany! Next week I'll be at akin 😉
The best part of the table is the seats! I too hate climbing in and out of them! Good work with that weird fabric!
It tried to resist, but once I busted out that powered rotary cutter it had no choice but to cooperate 😄
Great result, Ellen, and I love the genius curved top idea 😀😀
Thank you sir Geoffrey
Beautiful!! the curve is a great idea Thanks!💪😊🖖
You are incredible 😘 I hope you will work more often with this new funny fabric! ❤❤❤
I do like it. I just hope someone will make a sewing machine that can handle this stuff...
I've said it once and I'll say it again: you're the Woodworking Wunderkind
Does that mean I leveled up from Creative Carpenter? Nice 😄
@@CraftsWithEllen with that you gained a +5 when using power tools (+10 when it's a color matched set)
It's beautiful. To be your second job with wood you are very good. I see that you have eaten excellent Wurstel . Cheers
Great food all around 😃
@@CraftsWithEllen I know that food well, my uncles live in Cologne. Kolsch beer is also excellent.
You did so well with this one#
Proud of you!
The short benches are a great idea!
Killer work! I think you need to make more wood projects! I wore your shirt yesterday and got three compliments on it! Keep up the good work friend.
Ellen!! This came out so good! You’re a badass
Great looking table, Ellen! She is sure to get plenty of use from it.
Billy
Great ideas for improving the picnic-table-bench-combination!
The next level would be a build where the structure could eventually be unassembeld and transported in pieces for easier moving around and stowing it away if it is not needed in the cold seasons. I've built such a table, but not in combination with the bench (or seats), a little bit smaller, and- of course--not with THAT expert design;-)
Hmm... I go on figuring and and will come back on you when I've suceeded...
Go on with your making, it's great! :-)
Awesome build 👍🏼
Very nice picknick table ... and a nice Video ... 👍👍
the curved form is a great idea! So you can see everybody who`s sitting at the table! 8:00 it`s hard to explain - but we can see it in your faces!!!
Totally AWESOME!!!!!
WOW !!! That pine fabric came up a treat !!!!....#10Makers
It's challenging to sew, but boy does it look nice!
Crafts With Ellen 😂😂
Awesome work👏
