Love how he wouldn't engage negatively about all that he and his family have gone through. Super glad he's planning on staying awhile. Great coach, leader, and person.
One of the toughest job requirements of being top program coaches is handling the expectations to win every game. Not just “the game”. Granted that winning national championship is helping the recruiting, but it also makes the next loss hard to bear. No one gives you any excuse for you. No one gives you a lot of credits for being the best coach this year. Enjoy the moment, coach Day.❤❤❤
That is a good point. Coaches live this, they dedicated there life for it ane bear the burden of failure. When a team loses a game it's really just an outlet for that fan. As a fan to act like it's the end of world when it's something you really don't invest that much in is really just ridiculous. If you do invest money or a lot of time into it's your choice to invest in something you have no control over the results as a fan
This season also adds to the lore of the greatest sports rivalry of all time. Michigan gets to gloat over another win, and realistically can take partial credit for Ohio States National Championship. They woke a sleeping giant. Ohio State has become something much more than they ever were under Day previously. Michigan also likely sealed their own fate, creating a monster in Columbus that will no longer be mentally trapped by “That Team up North”. Those two teams have much more of a symbiotic relationship than either fan base would ever admit.
It’s not disrespectful. Ryan day gets paid very well to win that game. He signed up for this job and his job at Ohio st is to beat Michigan. Dan didn’t say anything disrespectful other than point out facts. Yes he won a natty but at both UM and OSU some would argue that “The Game” means more. That’s why it’s the greatest rivalry in sports.
Day knows to stay at tOSU, he's got it made vs NFL. He has the ability, the staff and rosters to win a few more B1G & Natty titles in the next 10 years. Woody won 3 Natty's in 28 yrs at tOSU. JJ, Tate and Knowles are all staying at tOSU.
holy smokes was that set of questions slanted negative or what??? the dude just won a national championship, sure felt like you were talking to someone who just suffered a significant loss
I wish Ryan Day would leave that place. He deserves so much better than to deal with that fan base. I just don’t get it the moment he loses another game it will go right back to people calling for him to be fired and his family get harassed. Why does he want to subject himself to that? Like he clearly showed he’s an elite coach he can do better than Ohio State.
You’re not seeing through fanatic ignorance. Day clearly explains in this interview how he handles ridiculous fans talking nonsense. He’s now very comfortable with fanatics with below average IQ’s! He loves Columbus that appreciates his efforts.
@ man miss we will that nonsense there wasn’t a single Ohio State fan that didn’t want him fired after that Michigan game yaw not fooling anyone you just hoped on a bandwagon. Keep that same energy you had after that Michigan game.
Jim Tressel went 9-1 against you clowns and Urban went 7-0 💀💀💀 imagine bragging about a regular season win when you only had 7 and Ohio State still won the Natty lmao.
OSU has three NC’s this century & Tress/Urb both had seven game winning streaks vs UM. Harbaugh had a losing record vs OSU & cheated. Remember when Harbz backed out of the 2020 game? The Walmart Wolverine behavior these days is understandable.
Anything to try to stay relevent. BTW our championship is more relevant now. Whether michigan cheated or not. That's poetic justice in my eyes that osu won the national the year after michigan stole theirs
We love Coach Day
Incredible leader.
Great leader
Love my coach!
interesting interview. Lotta knowledge dropped and insight into Day's life and CFB which is the wild west now

What an awkward sign off,
“Enjoy it while you can, until The Michigan game?”
As Urban Meyer said, it’s the most difficult coaching job in college.
Go bucks!
Thanks coach!!!!!!!😊😊😊😊
Gees Dan, you could have ended the interview without mentioning TTUN.
Where is Connor Stalions? Where is the NCAA on the cheaters? 🫣
Trey made the block to make the pass on third down happen! Everyone focused on the job!
There will be another chance to show resilience next season!

So disrespectful Dan to keep bringing up Michigan game. Did you do that with Kirby Smart?

Dan Downer Patrick. “Season starts then there’s the Michigan game.” Queue The Simpsons Mr. Burn evil laugh.

Smith aint going to no loser school
RYAN DAY .............the college football equal to MLB 's DAVE ROBERTS . Day should have 3 or 4 Natty's.
Can't be the champ if you can't beat the cha][V][p

Imagine a world where Michigan fans are the trolls and not the Buckeyes fans...
Wow! What a well thought out and intelligent response... take you all week to come up with that?
