Jim Tressel. Wow. Can we all just recognize how great a human being he is? Turned around the Ohio State program and look what happened. And look at Tressel's student Marcus Freeman. And look at how he helped Maurice. Thank you Coach Tressel. And thanks to Maurice Clarett for helping with this Championship team and our great coach Day.
On behalf of all Mahoning County, thank you for your kind, thoughtful remarks on Coach Tressel. Our lives are all enriched because of him and his works. Let us learn from his leadership and make a positive impact in the lives of others!
Tressel always said that Clarett was going to be an impact person not just an impact player. Very profetic. Great guy. I am so overjoyed to see Maurice doing well. Keep pushing Maurice.
When JJ was at Macomber I was sure he was the next MJ. At the Holy Buckeye game I told my Purdue host that Maurice would win the Heisman if something bad didn't happen. (I had Keith Byers in mind when I said that) Neither of these guys reached my estimation in athletics but who cares. They are way better men for it. Love 'em both more now than had they done those athletic things.
Whoa Maurice. The definition of introspection. You and your journey never fail to amaze me. You made us feel (like kings of the world) once, and now we think and learn with you.
Maurice really turned his life around since he was instrumental in Ohio State’s National Championship win over Miami! Jim Tressel never gave up on him, even after the turmoil, and helped him become who he is today! I respect them both! Class men! ❤️🌰🏈
Glad to see Mo back around the team and the university. His freshman season and his contribution was incredible. He’s a Buckeye legend. Happy to see he’s turned the page and his life around.
I wish Mo had gotten better advice when at OSU. IF he had stayed and just played he culd have been an all-time great. So happy he's back and a part of the program.
Happy for him as well. I can’t speak for him, but I’d bet Maurice has moved on from looking back at what coulda been and has learned to live in the moment and grow towards the future. In my book he is well on his way to becoming an all-time great. Inspiring
Yeah, it was like he felt too much, both the good and then way too many bad feelings. It seems he's learned that part of him and how to navigate through it. But damn, the way he'd carry a ball. He was a beautiful player. Glad we got to see it while we could.
I’m glad he’s coming slowly because I think that those types of players are essential to a program. The kids can see old players being around. Very cool by Coach Day!
As a fellow alumni of The Ohio State University I'm glad you're back helping student athletes become better young men. How firm thy friendship O-H-I-O!
I’ve always been a huge fan of Maurice. Because I understood his struggle. He had a lot of demons to overcome. And he seems to be in a better place. He’s so well spoken. But I’m glad Jim Tressell put him in his place, and led him to have a friendship (the correct way) with Ryan Day. His story can be a cautionary tale to the young men of the program
Love Tressel’s investment and care for Clarett to have the hard conversation, advocacy, and support to facilitate the meeting Clarett and Coach Day. They rest is history 🅾️🙌🏽🙏🏽🅾️
I rooted for this guy ever since he became a Buckeye, even through his tough times. Buckeye loyalty aside, I've rooted for him to find his way, and I couldn't be happier for him and what he's made of his life.
I got to see his last game he played at Ohio Stadium. They beat Michigan to go the championship game. I still have a picture of Maurice in that Game hanging in my Garage/Man Cave to this day. I rare talent and a joy to watch play the game.
I was there in the desert in 2003, great day, but your journey Mo is even more impressive. Stay true to yourself, keep helping kids! Oh, by the way, was in Atlanta too :)!
Mo is awesome. Happy he's involved and you see the results. Id put him in the college HOF based off that true Freshman year. Unreal to win it all, beating the U.
So glad to have Maurice back around the program and glad to see he seems to be doing well. We are also so blessed to have Ryan Day, what an incredible leader and human
Jim Jackson. A Legend! Maurice Clarett. A legend! Fellas, there is something special about tOSU! This year is quite a story. The players bonding with GOD for the Gold! I just read our DC Jim Knowles is leaving for Penn State. I feel we can do what we always do and reload! Redemption and revitalization and belief and teamwork and paying forward in everything we do. Love being a Buckeye! Every person ultimately has their own road to go, but we all can touch and feel greatness in our own ways too. Keep up the good works you both do! Congratulations for doing the University proud! O-H!🏈🏀🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅🎯💯
Crying with JOY. Coach Tressel, Coach DAY, MARICE CLARETT. I pray if we could get people to forgive, let be, see people as people we would be SO SOLID AS A COUNTRY.
MAURICE BLEEDS OHIO. HE IS A BUCKEYE TRUE N TRUE. HIS MOST INCREDIBLE PLAY EQUALS JACK SAWYER MOST INCREDIBLE PLAY VS TEXAS.THEY BOTH PLAYED WITH THEIR HEARTS.MAURICE CLARETT IS A BUCKEYE LEGEND.❤❤❤👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Personal growth and getting over trauma that has derailed his career is part of life. It seems like he has gotten over his maturity issues. This is what happens when you don't have true leadership in your life as a youngin'. Reacting and being too emotional without thought process is usually what happens when strong rational men are not in your life. Im glad to see him making a difference now.
Did the NFL teams collude to fail him and make an example of him because they didn't want too young of players declaring for the draft? He was a beast.
Its not where you start out in life, its where you end up in life. I have a lot of problems with the greed of Ohio State and the Athletic Department, but glad Ryan stepped up to invite Clarett back into the program. I see the next running backs coach.
And people actually wanted to fire Coach Day. He's far more than a coach to these players. A parent couldn't send their kid to play for a better man or coach.
When Maurice played for the Bucks, actually the year after, I thought he was a very talented but ungrateful punk and after he turned his life around, I doubted his sincerity at first, but now I'm proud of him and for him because he has become an inspiration to so many kids out there who, as I used to say in 2003, were raised by their community to believe they were a god. As they say in Ireland, good man yourself, Maurice.
I'm thrilled that Maurice Clarett seems to be in a good place.
It took him a long time to get there. Jim Tressel never gave up on him, and they both went through a lot.
Was a great coach, and President at YSU as well
Well said. Jim’s father Lee Tressel was also a great coach and man at Baldwin Wallace College. Jim was raised right. Maurice is a Buckeye legend.
His strip back of Sean Taylor's (rip) interception is one of the greatest football moves of all time. Happy he's reconnected with the university.
THIS! Thanks for posting it so I don't have to.
So true. That single play saved the season
One of if not the most clutch play I've ever seen live.
It was RAW determination
Unreal when I saw him do this!
Love Maurice's humility.
2 Legends. This is awesome to see. Glad you're back Maurice.
When JJ was at Macomber I was sure he was the next MJ. At the Holy Buckeye game I told my Purdue host that Maurice would win the Heisman if something bad didn't happen. Gotta love a Redemption story. Keep paying it forward Maurice. GO BUCKEYES!
Glad to see Mo back around the team and the university. His freshman season and his contribution was incredible. He’s a Buckeye legend. Happy to see he’s turned the page and his life around.
Glad to see him around the program
Jim Jackson is a great listener.
I love you and your story, Maurice. This makes me so happy. And Ryan Day is such a great human being in addition to being a great coach.
I wish Mo had gotten better advice when at OSU. IF he had stayed and just played he culd have been an all-time great. So happy he's back and a part of the program.

Andy Gieger the AD at the time railroaded him
He’s still an all time great for that one AMAZING year
Tressell told him to take the car and it got broken into and that's when all the trouble started
2 Buckeye sports legends who are even better people in real life. Very proud of Coach Day and Maurice Clarett.
Class act
lmao whatstewidccoments. moreese clarinett is aquitter
RB1 and Jim 🐐 Jackson! Legends!
⭕️🙌🏿☝🏿⭕️
I’m glad he’s coming slowly because I think that those types of players are essential to a program. The kids can see old players being around. Very cool by Coach Day!
As a fellow alumni of The Ohio State University I'm glad you're back helping student athletes become better young men. How firm thy friendship O-H-I-O!
Ryan Day is def a good dude. The players have spoke loudly. Leave their coach alone get behind the man and he will bring us more natties
I love that Coach Tress is the one who said naw, we're not doing it this way.
I’ve always been a huge fan of Maurice. Because I understood his struggle. He had a lot of demons to overcome. And he seems to be in a better place. He’s so well spoken. Maurice Clarett shows his undeniable sense of gratefulness. He Makes Buckeye Nation Proud! GO BUCKS O-H
I-O !!
@@victorluc66 Salute Victor! 👋

Hard to fathom it's been 23 years. Happy to see things working out for him.
Maurice I'm so proud of you bruh! Glad you're back as a Buckeye keep being who you are! Peace and blessings!
Literally two of my all time favorite Buckeyes. So glad Mo is back around.
Maurice was one of the best freshman I had ever seen! I am Glad he got his life straight.
Everytime I heard them say 'have you ever seen a freshman this good' about JJ I said out loud 'Yes! And he was THE FRESHMAN'
@josephgamble1 😂agree

Such admiration for someone who fights their way through adversity and comes out the other side and tells their story to make others better.

Welcome back to Ohio State Maurice.
So happy to see MC reconnected with the program!

I was there in the desert in 2003, great day, but your journey Mo is even more impressive. Stay true to yourself, keep helping kids! Oh, by the way, was in Atlanta too :)!
love being a Buckeye. love all the former and current Buckeyes! O-H!!
Mo is awesome. Happy he's involved and you see the results. Id put him in the college HOF based off that true Freshman year. Unreal to win it all, beating the U.
More proof that Ryan Day is a great guy. Happy to see Maurice Clarrett back and involved
Outside of the game this is the best thing ive seen all week.
I'm glad to see this. I'm also unhappy that I never got to see Mo get to be the football player we all thought he would be after his freshman season.
Thank you Maurice, I am so glad you are at a good place!
So glad to have Maurice back around the program and glad to see he seems to be doing well. We are also so blessed to have Ryan Day, what an incredible leader and human
JJ is an absolute legend
This is an AMAZING story. VERY VERY Deep stuff, WOW 🤯
Gotta Love those 330 Youngstown boys! Pride to be from you Yo. Congratulations to the team, Coach Day and Maurice!
Love Jimmy my favorite buckeye
Two of my favorite Buckeyes!

Tressel is one of the best in the game. Glad to see Maurice back at the Shoe. Go Bucks
Clarett was talking crazy one time too
Mo is a great dude. Is he in an official capacity at Ohio state, paid consultant, or just volunteers?
Maurice is a poster child for why second chances are important. What an uplifting turnaround. Tressel deserves a lot of credit.
So happy for Maurice. Him and Tress being back around the team is a major plus for both sides.

Triumph and tragedy. Then triumph! Love you boi! Go Bucks.....
It was heartbreaking to see his story take such a sad turn in the 00s. Delighted that he’s doing well and helping out with the program!
What a stand up human being! He is among the greatest running back in OSU, period!
If all news coverage could be this good; I'd pay more attention.

Shout out to Jim Jackson " Let's go MacMen !!! "
As a Knight, I miss the old days with Macomber and Devilbis. Yes.
Hey!! Toledo Oh!
Did the NFL teams collude to fail him and make an example of him because they didn't want too young of players declaring for the draft? He was a beast.
Nah he was in them streets for real and alcohol.
Ohio the home of champions
the man comes and speaks at schools. Long overdue
Its not where you start out in life, its where you end up in life. I have a lot of problems with the greed of Ohio State and the Athletic Department, but glad Ryan stepped up to invite Clarett back into the program. I see the next running backs coach.
Thanks for pounding miami
Maurice buckeye 4 life he's true buckeye r day j t both of them are true ohio state football coaches
Seems to me Maurice deserves to be offered a position as RB coach 🏈 👊
I will never forget him stealing the ball out of the Miami receivers arms and running for that touchdown.
Ohio is in the building! Next up is my Cleveland Cavaliers 🏆
Hopefully
So happy Tressel helped Maurice to get back where he belongs
And people actually wanted to fire Coach Day. He's far more than a coach to these players. A parent couldn't send their kid to play for a better man or coach.
Mo has that football head
Get TP back next.
Macomber's Finest!
There is a such thing as innate right and wrong. You figure out who needs to be haled?
When Maurice played for the Bucks, actually the year after, I thought he was a very talented but ungrateful punk and after he turned his life around, I doubted his sincerity at first, but now I'm proud of him and for him because he has become an inspiration to so many kids out there who, as I used to say in 2003, were raised by their community to believe they were a god. OSU need to officially hire Mo
Jim Jackson show on the Rich Eisen show… sounds so weird

I didn't know JJ had a channel. I don't see a subscribe button though.
We call him Clarice, as in “I can dmell your..”
Clarett is a very wealthy man - he buys medical practices, I'm connected with im on linkedin, its very impressive tbh.
Mo kept begging for a job on X
👍👍
I think Mo paid for his sins. Glad to see him doing well 🫡 go bucks!
witchu?
It's funny because Clarett called for Day to get fired after the Michigan loss
This is one fan who's support for Mo never wavered 🎉
