  • Leaving Hawkesbury Junction I pass under the Iron Bridge and turn sharp right onto the Coventry Canal. This will be my first time on this stretch of the Coventry and I'm looking forward to it. I am heading to Fradley Junction and the Trent & Mersey canal but in this episode, I cruise as far as Atherstone where I moor up for a day to avoid a day of rain and powerful winds. I pass Marston Junction and the entrance to the Ashby Canal before passing through Nuneaton.

Lovely boat nice cruise, keep them coming, a boat tour would be nice if not too invasive, always interesting 🧐

Hi and welcome aboard. If you check out episodes 1&2 there is a quick tour of Bubbly Too and I will get around to a more in-depth tour before too long. 😀😀

Thoroughly enjoyed seeing an area that I know very well being a continual cruiser for ny on 20yrs. Wish I had kept a diary of all the hilarious and not so times we had. Moored opposite the hat factory and found a fish on the back deck when I went to tie up 😂. Have also fished numerous animals out of the water alive/dead. My soulmate died 2yrs ago so I’m now moored on the River Nene but would be back on the canal in a heartbeat if I could find a mooring on the Ashby Canal. Have made so many friends on travels who I still keep in touch with. I wish you happy journeys & don’t forget to moor up & relax if you need to & the weather is bad 💕🦆

Thank you Pam for your lovely comment. Bubbly Too has spent many a year on the River Nene with her previous owner so there is a common thread there. The boat life community is amazing and it's always good to moor up in a new spot and chat with newly made friends. Now in my mid-70s mooring up and relaxing if need be or if the weather is bad comes easily. The Ashby Canal is on my to-do list and I am sure I will visit the River Nene before too long. 🙋‍♂😀
