If you just want realiability without paying an arm and a leg for extra features, buy a Toyota. If you want realiability plus extra premium features, Buy a Lexus.
@@ECPP I'm so in love with my red 1995 Lexus SC400. I don't car if it costs extra extra to own her, because she is so worth it. A lot of people think it's a brand new car because not many people bought them back in the day and now with prices being affordable they are starting to appear on the streets. Plus owning my SC400 is still cheaper than a high maintenance girlfriend. I'll never give my car up.
I work at Toyota’s manufacturing plant in Georgetown, KY. We build Camry, Avalon, rav4, es350, and es300h in the same plant. They are all pretty much the same vehicle underneath except Lexus uses different engines than the Toyotas.
Just Johnson Toyotas are expensive everywhere. They have plants all over the world to meet demand in those markets. They make most of other models in Japan but not all of them get exported to the US. Their largest concentration of plants is in Japan.
No. Two different manufacturing plants. Lexus workers must earn their jobs through experience (years) and exceptional performance. If you haven't actually DRIVEN Lexus, you need to do that. It's not the same car.
For the people who keep saying Toyota owns Lexus, as if there’s no difference. I’ve owned a Toyota for 4 years and two Lexus vehicles. One Lexus was totaled and the second I bought because I grew to love the vehicle. A Lexus handles completely different from a Toyota, I can assure you. The quality and materials are much more premium and solid than a Toyota. That’s if you care and appreciate those kinds of luxuries. I’ve grown an obsession with Lexus after owning two. Great quality, reliability, they hold their value best, and just an overall great investment. Compared to the investments I’ve seen other people put their money into. It’s like a heavy investment, with 0 headaches whether it will start up in the morning or not.
I am still driving my 2000 Avalon xls. Drives like a dream still at 275000 miles. Had to change vvt solenoids. My 1992 Camry manual trans has 295000 miles, and my wife’s sienna has just clocked 232000. All without a problem. No rust, no halting. Best cars ever
I’m experiencing how good there quality is I just bought a 2018 Toyota Camry it only has 11,000 miles on it. Question is if I take care of it is this car also a 300,000 plus motor
Only proven engineers at Toyota manufacturing facilities are promoted to work on Lexus brand. That shows us Toyotas focus on ensuring higher than even Toyota quality for their Lexus subbrand.
I switch from vw to toyota. Vw is just one of the worst company when it comes to reliability and quality. Now we got scion xB 2010, Toyota rav4 2015 and 2018 Toyota Sienna
I absolutely love my 1995 Lexus SC400 and it runs better than most new cars. It has 142,000 miles and it looks sexy in red. You get so much car for the money. I will never sell it.
@johnny Macon You have a great car! I love LS400 too. If I was going to buy a second car right now it'd definitely be the LS400. Something about the 1995 model year people love the most. That was the year that I graduated high school so it's significant to me. If I could add just factory upgrade to my 1995 SC400 it'd be the OBD2 port. I was disappointed that Lexus still used the OBD1 in 1995. That really doesn't make a difference to me because I absolutely love my car. I still get compliments all the time about my baby. I wouldn't trade her for a brand new car.
Yes keep her she is reliable to the last bolt , yours got small milage it will give you years yet,, get it waxed in the chassis frames and under cills , and anywhear it has cavities , greetings from Ireland
Having owned over 7 Toyotas and 6 Lexuses, I would say both are very reliable. Where they differ is the build quality. Lexus vehicles feel a lot more solid and have much better sound insulation. Get in a Toyota 4 runner and a Lexus GX460 and you’ll see what I mean. The 4Runner seems like a toy in comparison. Is it worth the extra money?..sure if you have the money but Toyota is fine too If that’s what you get.
Lexus Toyota both very reliable. The Toyota may take the crown because the Lexus gets the more advance technology. But it was also said that Lexus was more reliable than Toyota by consumer reports due to its premium customers. What sets the difference is repair cost. Luxury is always expensive when time to repair.
Honda also makes decent cars, had a few myself & they were awesome. I recently traded in my 2007 Corvette for a 2017 RX350, best vehicle I've ever owned.
This is what I know about the body on frame Toyotas, and Lexus’ made in Japan. Every tenth Toyota gets a test drive on the factory track before being shipped out. Every single Lexus gets a test drive before being shipped out. I imagine that same type of quality control applies to Toyota, and Lexus across the board.
We have an older Lexus RX400h and it has over 160,000 miles, the only major thing so far is shocks/struts. Super reliable and everything still works amazing. Regular maintenance is key for any brand of car but toyota/Lexus is certainly more reliable and has higher quality than anything else.
Lexus is the most reliable luxury brand. Before any Lexus leaves the plant, they go through a big quality control check to make sure there are no problems with them
@@ivankool357 Not really. Both the Avalon and ES have a longer wheelbase while the Camry has a shorter wheelbase. Both the ES and Avalon share 70% of the same parts and both have better sound deadening insulation than a Camry.
To clarify to anyone. All Camry Avalon and Lexus ES are considered "K-platforms" The 01-11 Camry and 01-12 ES used the exact same variant K-XV, While the Avalon used and continues with K-XX variant. Current Camry is a XV50 Current Lexus ES is XV60 Current Avalon is XX50 In reality while all 3 are considered the same K platform, all 3 are truly dimensionally different from one another
Yup. Both the Avalon and ES has a longer wheelbase and better sound insulation than the Camry. The Avalon is a luxury car like Buick under the Toyota badge. Camry is a mainstream car.
WE HAD A 2008 CAMRY HYBRID, PERFECT CAR, NOTHING WENT WRONG WITH IT IN 8 YEARS, ALSO A 2012 SIENNA XLE, WHAT A VAN JUST EXCELLENT 74K MILES, DRIVES LIKE NEW, WE FIGURED IF TOYOTA IS THAT GOOD WE'LL TRY A LEXUS NX 200T, GOT IT NEW IN 2016 HOLY COW DOES THAT DRIVE NICE! LIKE A SPORTS CAR, JUST LOVE IT.
Both are good cars , however you are probably biased toward to Lexus since you were at a Lexus dealership, you probably work for them. To me the Lexus isn’t worth paying an extra $10,000-$15,000 more than the Toyota. Another thing I noticed in my 25 years of buying Toyota’s, their used car value is more than the Lexus. A used Lexus 6 -8 year old is like a Cadillac. The value drops on $40,000. Those premium HiTech are nice, but VERY EXPENSIVE to have repaired or when you go to trade one or buy one on a used lot. In the long run you’re $$$$$$$ in your pocket buying Toyota. Lexus like Cadillac, “a Status Symbol.”
Have a 2004 Toyota Prius with 236k on the clock, still running strong. Just bought a 2007 Lexus Rx350 with 159k and love it too, hope to get 250k+ miles out of it!
You can’t go wrong either way and the used car market is a very beautiful thing for a used Lexus. I actually find that Toyota is very over priced on the used side where as Lexus given their initial price point is very attractive as a used car purchase... in the end you won’t waste your money either way..
Why is he comparing one company with itself? Lexus is made by Toyota, it's only named Lexus because of the marketing schemes that go into this kind of stuff. For example, if Toyota made luxury cars and named them "toyotas" , then there would be less sale because of the society we live in, we tend to make fun of people who own hondas and Toyota or Nissan's. People are like "oh that's just a Toyota" so that's why Toyota said fine we'll make a luxury division and name it something else to increase sales (same goes for hyuandai/genesis, honda/Acura, nissan/Infiniti, Volkswagen/audi/Lamborghini, Bugatti. Ford/lincoln, Etc.) . So really at the end of the day. A Lexus is a "dressed up Toyota" like he said in the video. "But still made by the same company. And yes I realize it's a "different brand" but like I said at the end of the day, it's made by toyota.
Please do research mini is bmw smart is mercedes benz audi is a Volkswagen so is Lamborghini bentley bugatti and porsche does that mean those are the same? No they are different divisions of the same parent company that means a seperate design and engineering for the different companies yes they share parts but all companies do that amongst their different brands and at least toyota makes the acually makes good cars instead of unreliable over rated junk and toyota proved time and time again they can build anything and build it well and fyi the only dressed up toyota technically is the lexus es which is a toyota camry /avalon which are great cars to begin with albeit boring but great
@@theroyalcrown9165 but at the end of the day buddy it's made by the same company. Do you even realize why they make different divisions of the same company ? Let me tell you, it's called marketing strategy of running a corporation to increase sales. Yes they do have different design and engineering for them, but like I said at the end of the day they're made by the same company. You cant compare two brands of the same company. Because they made both. That's like comparing two things that you made yourself, but one you made a little better with more features. I have worked for Honda myself so I know my research fyi

Toyota Vs Lexus? It’s the same car! Lexus is just the upper end premium Toyota’s with a Lexus badge on them. Essentially the same. Both Toyota and Toyota I mean Lexus are superb.
It’s the same company. In japan, all Lexus models use the Toyota batch. It’s merely a marketing strategy to brand high end Toyota Lexus outside japan!!
I live in Africa cameroon, Toyota cars are the highest cars on the high way, every 10 cars u see toyota cars like 9 of them, they stay longer and cheap to maintain.
@Sigor Ezz maybe because it's their luxury division??? Its still made by the same company which is Toyota. It rides quite, has more performance, handles better, because its meant to do that. You cant have a luxury division and make the same exact car with the same specs, you gotta tweak it a bit.
Lexus is made in Japan, I think that is what gives them an edge in quality but you really can’t go wrong with Toyota if that is what your budget allows. Great long term vehicles and a smart buy.
My lexus ls430 is 2001. It has 310000 miles. Basic maintenance needed. Oil change change brake pads change fluids. The only big maintenance is replacing timing belt, water pump, serpentine belt, pulleys, thermostat.
The ES only recently began being based on the Avalon. From it's beginning up until maybe a few years ago it was based the Camry. Late 90's-early 2000's the two are nearly identical
As an SC400 owner, let me say thank you for including my car in this video. I will add, for the curious, that the SC400/SC300/Soarer cars are 90% overlapped with the Supra, from a mechanical point of view. I have Supra TT coilovers on mine, and I can tell you that it handles like a dream. Anything you can do to a Supra, you can do to the SC; all the parts bolt right on....because it's the same car. Haha.

The Lexus ES 350 in 2013 changed the chassis to same as the Toyota Avalon chassis. So it departed from using the same Toyota Camry chassis. I believe the width of the Lexus ES 350 stayed the same but the length of the car increased. The rear seat room increased by about 4". After 2015 the Lexus ES 350 was no longer made in Japan but in a new US plant for North America distribution.
Lexus is Toyota so your dealing with the same company Lexus will cost you more to repair both engines are flawless you probably get about 300,000 miles out of these engines as long you get your oil changed
I had a Camry before and the muffler went out after warranty period. I the "Lexus" muffler is slightly cost more that the Toyota muffler. I ask the shop what is the difference, the shop told me that the Toyota muffler has 30k miles warranty and the Lexus muffler has life time warranty. This sounds like Toyota cars use cheaper parts where ever they can while Lexus cars use proper parts.
Toyota taxis in the Philippines can easily get 750k km. and still very reliable... (also include how bad the roads in Manila, pot holes all over the place)
From what I’ve heard, Lexus and Toyota are almost equal in reliability. But when the cars finally start to show their age, the Lexus will be hella more expensive to fix.
I drive Lexus cars but considering these statistics... These are the percentage of cars that are still on the road after 200k miles. Toyota Sequoia=7.5 percent Four Runner=3.9 percent Highlander=3.1 percent Avalon=2.5 percent Lexus does not make any of the list of cars still on the road after 200k miles. I blame the more expensive repairs, wrecks and parting out instead of repairing, and the fact that many Lexus owners are old and dont even take the mileage up that high. The Sequoia is one of the best SUVs made. Personally I have new body RX 350 and new body is 350 but if I could trade for a fully loaded Sequoia and Fully loaded Avalon I probably would. I dont trust lexus as much after the new spindle grill came out. Cars went down hill from there unless you fork out 100k and even then there are many other cars in that price range. Looking back I was sold on the fact my other Lexus cars are still on the road after 300k miles and I sold them after 15 years and 200k to 300k miles for a quarter of what I bought them for.
@Stonewall Jackson Those cars had sludge issues if you didnt change oil enough. As long as it was/is every 5k miles you should be golden. My buddy had to replace transmission in his at 190k because it started surging and skipping when you gassed it hard. Hopefully this didnt happend to you.
I have a 2005 Camry with 245,000 kms. For its time, it shared the same chassis with the Lexus ES300. The leather seats too were the same in both cars. Amazing car!
Something I found out from my recent 2020 Toyota Corolla purchase, is that a majority of Toyotas from 2015 and after are assembled in Japan which is KOO
Here’s some first hand data for your consideration: I once bought a 1998 Toyota Camry 3.0 V6 - 495,000kms on the odo. I added a great music system with amps and all that. Drove her around for another 100,000kms - no sweat - ice cold a/c, predictable performance and butter smooth to drive. Wouldn’t go faster than 140km/hr, but who cared 😄 Now, my most recent car is a 2004 Lexus RX330 with 205,000kms on its odo. Typical known Lexus issues - a rear quarter window was missing its outer trim, the sunglass holder wouldn’t snap shut and after 17 years, the luxury Mark Levinson audio system with a CD changer and a cassette tape player (!?) was in bad shape. Got parts off eBay, replaced the outer window trim and the sunglass holder assembly myself. Got the factory door speakers professionally replaced with Alpine aftermarket speakers, then cleaned the cassette player head with isopropyl alcohol on an earbud, got a Au$10 cassette tape line-in adapter from JB Hi Fi and hooked up my iPhone to play Spotify via the 2004 cassette tape player. The sound quality blew my friends outta the water 😄. I’m amazed that it sounds so thumping good! The pre-iPhone era touch screen is brilliant by any standards. Drives like a dream too. Anyone got any such stories about a Cadillac, a Mercedes, a BMW a Volvo or an Audi? I’d doubt it - you’d be lucky if the a/c worked.
I’ve owned Toyota Camry’s and a Venza. All very reliable. A year ago I bout a CPO 2015 Lexus GS. It has AWD, which I couldn’t find with Toyota sedans. The Lexus Is a great vehicle and does have upgraded trim, engine and handling. Also, it was made in Japan. You can’t go wrong with either!
Thanks and i subscribed....having owned 6...LOL. The '17 prius 3 drives nicely, as compared to earlier models. An almost perfect car. However, the Stealership experience can leave a lot to be desired. When considering a Toyota or any other car, it is best to not play by their game, rather by your own rules, and approach it in a critical manner, not an "I am in love with this car' attitude..otherwise you will be screwed. Thanks, again.
We have 2 2015 Lexus vehicles (GS350, RX350) and they're unbelievably reliable. I think there's another reason Lexus tends to be more reliable: their factory workers. They are hand picked from the Toyota side of the house; their best of the best. You can't just be Joe Lunchbucket Toyota factory worker and get to build Lexus'. No, it's HIGHLY competitive and considered quite the status symbol to be chosen to work with the Lexus brand. Lexus wants the best people to build their best cars......and it is paying off handsomely as a strategy.
Absolutely wrong. Go look at a Lexus too see the difference. For example, the hood on a Lexus is pretty much sealed so the engine compartment and all the components do not get covered in dirt. The door panels have double weatherstripping do the door jams stay clean. They are just built better. I've got an RX 350 with 110,000 miles and it runs and drives perfectly with no issues at all. These can go over 400,000 miles. Nothing beats Lexus for reliability.
Not unless an ES as they are essential an Avalon with less electronic gizmos that can go wrong. Parts are far cheaper on an ES compared to any other Lexus model. Avalon and ES OEM lower control arms cost exactly the same price from the dealer.
On some Lexus models, Toyota parts can be used on them. I know because we own an automotive shop. I own an 08 Is250. Has 101,000. Still has all the factory parts on it. Nothing leaks. Runs amazing. Only thing I've had to do is basic maintenance and brakes.
@@leahyoung1380 parts on the IS are stupid expensive esp the front end suspension. Tuned suspension tends to be more on the priced side. The ES model is the cheapest in spare parts than any Lexus model as its really a Toyota Avalon. The lower control arms from both the Lexus and Toyota dealer are pretty much the same price for the Avalon and ES. Same part.
@@THEKING-1 Well, based on our experiences, when you have Germans or British cars, those looks more luxurious, expensive and fancy. However, if you live out of Europe, the cost of repairs is too high, the time of the part delivery is too long and it cost a lot of money and eventually, the depreciation is too much. When you buy a Japanese car, especially Toyota or Lexus, those performed very well, those are luxurious, the part is always available and the most, the cost of the repair is very reasonable. Also, the vehicles have a high value, less depreciation and it last very long without giving you any troubles. Still it's up to you what you really love to drive. These are just based on our experience. I wish you all the best.
The mention of Camry Transmissions "not knowing what to do" is a common issue with all cars that have more than four gears and an overdrive. The six, seven, eight and more gears in transmissions now a days, require a second for the computer to determine what gear the driver is asking for. It seems like a long time for a computer but it's not considering what's involved. The problem is the driver. Quick jabs at the accelerator pedal confuse the computer. Take a moment longer after getting off the brake pedal and also press the accelerator lightly. It's a matter of slowing down the driver's actions. Once familiar with the occurrence your mind will train you not to cause the problem. It's just a matter of getting used to the car.
We’re all agree that Toyota and Lexus how great the liability. We know that they sell many more cars than Subaru does. Based on percentages not numbers of cars there are more Subaru’s on the road after 10 years than any other automobile makers. Even in Florida that has no ice or snow we have many old Subarus on the road that looks so good. Not to mention how many Subaru’s have the five star safety rating versus Toyota. AWD Is absolutely best in a Subaru. Thank you for your comparisons.
The average age for all brands of light vehicles on the road in the US is over 11.8 years. Subaru has nothing to brag about. That's just a marketing ploy. www.allpar.com/forums/threads/an-average-age-of-vehicles-on-us-roads-hits-11-8-years.220875/
I own a 2014 Corolla with 47K mileage planning to buy Lexus RX350 in about 5 years or so until I save up and run more mileage on it. Do you think it’s worth it to spend 60K on a Lexus?
Personally, I do because I enjoy driving nicer and more powerful vehicles but it ultimately depends on your needs, wants and budget. Thanks for watching.
I’m also considering Mercedes GLC 300 suv. I’m just worried that I’d be in and out of the auto service area. Which one of the cars holds better value/ lesser depreciation?
Although lexus is based off Toyota, it's different in the sense that lexus is a luxury brand, the rav4 is more noisy and uncomfortable than the nx, not to mention the many other upgrades lexus has over Toyota, he is sort of comparing apples to apples, it is not the case.
Nelson Brito Same platform, 80% shared parts, and same engineering. Better sound insulation and better materials is the only difference on models that are shared between Toyota and Lexus. Lipstick on a pig is still a pig

I don’t believe anyone would think Toyota’s are as reliable as Lexus. Lexus cars are far more well-made. On purpose. Toyota’s are very reliable, but not on the Lexus level.
I understand that Lexus is made in Japan and the bulk of Toyotas sold here are made here. That is reason enough why Lexus should Excel but value per dollar is a whole 'nother thing. So at what cost?
Sometimes Scotty has had too many drinks when making his videos. And you can take a Lexus to any Toyota dealer for maintenance. Except for warranty issues. So no, a Lexus is only more expensive to maintain if you decide to take it to a Lexus dealer. You are not paying extra for that badge. A Lexus is made with an entire different build philosophy.

Most Toyota’s are now built in the USA while most Lexus are still built in Japan, THAT is why reliability is high! JAPANESE culture takes pride in their work! New Toyota’s are not as reliable.
I've own a 2007 Camry and a 2011 Toyota 4Runner. They are off the hook. All you have to do is change the oil, keep new tires on it and you're good. Can anyone justify why the European cars are so expensive when Japanese cars are so reliable and does everything that the European cars do and still less expensive?
Economics is your answer. Plus if you research about Japanese culture, you would understand why their cars are so reliable compared to European rivals.
So are Japanese electronics. I have an old PlayStation 2 from 2006 that still runs to this day. Not sure if it would be the same for American Microsoft. 🤷♂️

It is so reliable that is difficult to describe it with words
Only proven engineers at Toyota manufacturing facilities are promoted to work on Lexus brand. That shows us Toyotas focus on ensuring higher than even Toyota quality for their Lexus subbrand.
I switch from vw to toyota. Vw is just one of the worst company when it comes to reliability and quality. Now we got scion xB 2010, Toyota rav4 2015 and 2018 Toyota Sienna
I've got a 2009 Lexus ES 350 and a 2018 Toyota Highlander with NO problems and I love them both! 👍🏼
@johnny Macon Thanks for the information about the OBD2 port. Where do I go to find one on Amazon? Thanks
@johnny Macon Thanks! Much appreciated
Yes keep her she is reliable to the last bolt , yours got small milage it will give you years yet,, get it waxed in the chassis frames and under cills , and anywhear it has cavities , greetings from Ireland
How do you know that it run better than 'most' new vehicles?
Having owned over 7 Toyotas and 6 Lexuses, I would say both are very reliable. Where they differ is the build quality. Lexus vehicles feel a lot more solid and have much better sound insulation. Get in a Toyota 4 runner and a Lexus GX460 and you’ll see what I mean. The 4Runner seems like a toy in comparison. Is it worth the extra money?..sure if you have the money but Toyota is fine too If that’s what you get.
Your second sentence means you understand the true difference!
How much more can a common repair cost? I'm either getting a lexus or toyota..
Honda also makes decent cars, had a few myself & they were awesome. I recently traded in my 2007 Corvette for a 2017 RX350, best vehicle I've ever owned.
Great cars
…a Lexus RX350?
Before any Lexus leaves the plant, they go through a big quality control check to make sure there are no problems with them
Same with Toyota, and they don't just have a check at the end. They also check to make sure everything is tight several times through assembly.
why everybody praise lexus too much? even camry and innova can last more than 10 years without changing parts. thats good for value. no need lexus

@@ivankool357 Not really. Both the Avalon and ES have a longer wheelbase while the Camry has a shorter wheelbase. Both the ES and Avalon share 70% of the same parts and both have better sound deadening insulation than a Camry.
To clarify to anyone. All Camry Avalon and Lexus ES are considered "K-platforms"
The 01-11 Camry and 01-12 ES used the exact same variant K-XV,
While the Avalon used and continues with K-XX variant.
Current Camry is a XV50
Current Lexus ES is XV60
Current Avalon is XX50

All ES generations are built off the Camry platform from the beginning to 2012. Its the 2013 to 2019 models that are built off the Avalon

You can’t go wrong either way and the used car market is a very beautiful thing for a used Lexus. I remember 20 years ago. People were like I’m not going to buy trucks and SUVs. It cost to much gas.
AMEN N WELL SAID!!!!
Please do research mini is bmw smart is mercedes benz audi is a Volkswagen so is Lamborghini bentley bugatti and porsche does that mean those are the same? The Lexus ES 350 in 2013 changed the chassis to same as the Toyota Avalon chassis. So it departed from using the same Toyota Camry chassis. I believe the width of the Lexus ES 350 stayed the same but the length of the car increased. The rear seat room increased by about 4". After 2015 the Lexus ES 350 was no longer made in Japan but in a new US plant for North America distribution.

Avalon=2.5 percent
Lexus does not make any of the list of cars still on the road after 200k miles. I blame the more expensive repairs, wrecks and parting out instead of repairing, and the fact that many Lexus owners are old and dont even take the mileage up that high.
The Sequoia is one of the best SUVs made.

Toyota definitely Better
Lexus has more features
Therefore more chances of failure
Common sense

Absolutely wrong. Go look at a Lexus too see the difference.
For example, the hood on a Lexus is pretty much sealed so the engine compartment and all the components do not get covered in dirt. The door panels have double weatherstripping do the door jams stay clean. They are just built better.
I've got an RX 350 with 110,000 miles and it runs and drives perfectly with no issues at all. These can go over 400,000 miles.

Not unless an ES as they are essential an Avalon with less electronic gizmos that can go wrong. Parts are far cheaper on an ES compared to any other Lexus model. Avalon and ES OEM lower control arms cost exactly the same price from the dealer.
Lexus is better built.
On some Lexus models, Toyota parts can be used on them. I know because we own an automotive shop. I own an 08 Is250. Has 101,000. Still has all the factory parts on it. Nothing leaks. Runs amazing. Only thing I've had to do is basic maintenance and brakes.

The best part is the common issues for each model..Thanks a lot for sharing that...Subscribed!

I have my toyota yaris 2008 still running very good on 221486 miles l love my toyota 👍😊❤❤
Most Toyota’s are now built in the USA while most Lexus are still built in Japan, THAT is why reliability is high! JAPANESE culture takes pride in their work! New Toyota’s are not as reliable.
If a flaw is found, the Japanese worker must commit suicide, while the American worker merely shrugs his shoulders.
The Avalon is nothing more than a Lexus in Toyota clothing
I've own a 2007 Camry and a 2011 Toyota 4Runner.
They are off the hook.
All you have to do is change the oil, keep new tires on it and you're good.
Those two vehicles has no issues, I'm telling you this because I owned them.
I have a Acura now 2013 RDX 2WD and it's just like the Toyota, no problems.
Plus they have a ten speed transmission that's off the hook.
I love it.
NX > Rav4
RX > Highlander
GX > Prado
LX570 > Land Cruiser

Why are my watching this? Watching a Toyota vs a Toyota😥😥
True
Hi, first of thanks for making such a great reviews on the Toyotas and Lexus. I am a big Fan of your channel! I have a question for you, Should I buy a brand new 2019 Toyota 4Runner limited or 2019 Lexus RX 350L ? Which one is a better option I am so lost and I can’t decide between them... btw pricing is not an issue! I am all about less maintenance, last longing and high in safety...please help me!! I appreciate your help! Thank you"
In my country Lexus is very expensive. Twice the price in the USA.
TOYOTA price in my country is 1.5 the price in the USA.
The 4Runner will last longer and is more reliable. The 4Runner is probably safer in all crashes except the small overlap. The RX is much more modern and car like. The 4R is a body on frame truck and uses more gas.
Thank you so much! I appreciate your help!
Can Toyota beat itself?
lol
This is like Buick vs Cadillac or Ford vs Lincoln or Dodge Vs Jeep
Lexus has the highest rated reliability of any car brand, the highest rate vehicle of 2018 was a Lexus.
