Jerkbait Fishing is very EASY!!!

- Tournament Rules and registration • A MEASURING BOARD must be used in your pictures for fish submission. The measuring board must be a hard flat surface with 1/4" increments with a left fence, not homemade or a paper ruler
• (If applicable) The official identifier must be visible in each picture and not cover or block the view of the fish
• All measurements must be taken with the “zero end” of the board to the left of the person measuring and the belly of the fish down towards the person measuring the fish.
• The mouth of the fish must be butted to the end stop of the board and the tail must sit flat on the measuring board. Otherwise you will receive a ¼” deduction
• DO NOT COVER THE EYES OR TAIL OF THE FISH WHEN TAKING YOUR PICTURE-HOLD THE BELLY/MIDDLE OF THE FISH.
• Use ¼” (.25) increments when submitting length
• The fish must TOUCH and/or PASS the ¼” increment to be entered as such
• Judges will view each picture for exact measurements
• Be sure your pictures are IN FOCUS and not blurry. It's best practice to take multiple pictures
• You do not have to use the app to take the pictures. You can use your phone's camera and submit them through the app later (in case you're on a hot spot)

When measuring your fish does the mouth need to be closed when touching the stop or are you allowing an allowance for an open mouth? Most online tournaments state mouth closed when measuring or could be disqualified, judges decision on picture.

Great advice on the jerkbait. I use it a lot up here in East Tennessee. We got DEEP clear lakes and we got some that's not so deep and clear but you can catch them on Jerk baits!! Pretty dog gone too! Stay safe out there on and off the water and Semper Fi from an old Marine

Every time it pans down to little man, He's got one on! LOL. I think he could teach my buddies a thing or two. Dead on with trying new baits and colors in the spring. Thats all I do, and it helps in years to come. I fish a lot of shallow river smallmouth and this spring I'm going to work on floating jerkbaits for skinny water.

I have trouble in warmer water towards end of May with catch em with a jerk bait. I kill it this time of year though in about any condition with a jerk bait. So I'll give your advice a try later in the year bc I do like the fast pace fishing with a jerk bait

I have the xi3 works great. Only thing I find annoying is if you shut it off on a certain speed it keeps that in memory. Found out when it was turned off on high speed then turned back on it took off. Other than that love it. Anchor works great. Peace out be safe

I live here in Minneapolis, Minnesota my fishing season does not officially start untill May 14th, ( walleye, pike, catch and release of bass) May 28th officially starts largemouth bass; so what particular species of fresh water fish qualifies for this tournament?

Bro I swear too many Karen’s trying to judge what other people do. The fish probably didn’t even die. Even if he killed the fish what does it matter there is 50 million other ones in the same lake. Also he can choose whether he wears his life jacket or not that’s his own choice he can do that at his own risk. It’s not your call to choose what he does.
