Great video, I will be coming back to this one many times until I get good at it, everyone say jerk bait fishing is great but they don't want to show how how to do it! Thanks!👍🎣
Hope it helps!
Great video!!! Thanks for the helpful information!! Stay Safe & God Bless!! 🤠👍
Glad it was helpful!
Great advice Miles thank you.Yes i enjoy.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for another great video Miles.
Glad you enjoyed it
I fish out of a pedal kayak and like to troll around 1.5-2 MPH imparting the same action I would while casting. Works really well.
I like it!
Great video Miles.
Thank you Greg!
Solid info. Thanks.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks Miles!
No problem!
I enjoyed the video keep them up. They are great.
I’m glad you did, I will keep them coming!
Miles is the tip important
I’m not sure what you mean?
I hear Xtra fast tip for a jerk bait rod. To get good movement on the bait
I want to buy a rod just for a jerk bait fishing I'm thinking medium with extra fast tip
Love a jerk bait in colder weather. I use it on a spinning combo, braid to leader setup. Works well. Thanks Miles.
If you have confidence in it, it’s a good combo!
Still trying to figure out how to fish a jerk bait. Learning so much from Matt Stefan and yourself. Hopefully one day I will get it! I do use spinning gear and 10# braid to 10# flouro.
Take the braid off and go with 8lb flouro on the spinning outfit. You will improve your bite and catch ratio greatly, I have caught numerous 5+ on 8lb line with my drag set properly and your jerk bait will have much better action vs braid to flouro.
Not a bad setup!
@SonarFishing, I’m in Ga and want to book you on Chick when your little princess is doing better, Y’all are on my prayer list.
Hey Miles thanks for the great video! What’s your mic setup? And do you use a gopro?
Thank you! I’ve made the switch over to the DJI Osmo Action 4 and am using the DJI Mic 2.
good video, hope the baby girl is doing well
Thank you! She is doing good considering.
How do i snap my rod downward like that fishing from the bank or standing in knee high water with hip boots on? Jerk baits just don't work at my lake.
Actually, for your situation I would suggest a spinning setup so working the rod to the side would be easier.
@@SonarFishing I use spinning and a horizontal jerking motion only pull the bait forward like it’s swimming. Not easy to get the side to side action when jerking the bait horizontally 1 foot above the water you’re standing in up to your thighs.
Do use FFS to locate the bass first ??
It’s certainly not a requirement, but it can be helpful.
What depths do you fish a jerk bait?
That’s a great question! It really varies, but generally jerkbaits run around 3-5’ but can be fished over deep water too.
