    Over the years of bass fishing, there is one thing that I have found to be true almost no matter where you go in the country. If you are around a decent population of bass, you tend to catch them within about 15 minutes.
    I have seen this time and time again from the northern part of the country to the southern part of the country and it always holds true. Also limiting yourself to just 15 minutes in an area really forces you to cover more water which can be the key to finding the bass. So in this video we talk about the 15 minute rule of bass fishing!
    BassFishingHQ is dedicated to teaching people how to catch more and bigger bass. I will go over different bass fishing tips & techniques that will put more fish in the boat or on the shore. Whether you are just starting out or a seasoned tournament angler, my goal is to help you catch more bass.

    I have always lived by this rule (without knowing it was actually a thing other than just something I did)...My Grandfather taught me to fish 40 years ago, and he taught me a lot, but one thing he did that would make me crazy is pound the same spot FOR HOURS even when getting no bites. I don't put a timer on it, but if I am not getting bites in 10-20 minutes of steady casting, it is time to move on.

    Good info! As on a kayak, i play the current. I'll paddle up against the current then float down into a cove or point while casting to cover more water. At East Harbor, paddle to the middle into the weed fields then drift to the points or lily pads while regular boats worked the bank. I caught bass in the under water game trails 😂.

      Dude I fish a city lake. 11 acres….I caught a 7 this morning. And always land a good fish when nobody else is catching jack shit……I cast in a fan motion….and man does it catch way more from the bank if you start casting closer to you and work outwards. I keep it moving

      @@dankjankings7339 yeah I was just talking about moving and giving up your spot when there might not be another one on the whole lake. The lake I’m fishing is only 3.5 acres but it’s technically a lake and not a pond because it’s actually really deep (60+ft). All your content is awesome! Just wish more fishing tubers would focus on techniques that don't rely on having a boat that does 20;30;50;60;etc. MPH to get to places. Most people don't have that, and a ton have no gas motor at all. So, how to find fish within a certain distance from a launch pint would be totally awesome!

    • @fishncoach8699
      @fishncoach8699 8 місяців тому +1

      That situation isn't complex enough for most UA-camrs to need to focus on. One video pretty much tells you all you need to know. If you don't have the means to travel then it gets really simple. Go slow and pick apart the area you're in. Instead of changing locations when you aren't successful then you change baits and target different parts of the water column. First target near the shoreline, then move a little further out, then be sure you've fished bottom structure, mid water column and up to the top. Use slow baits and use reaction baits. Try multiple colors and profiles. If you've done all that you've pretty much covered everything you can in that area. It's fairly straightforward. Being in that small area allows you to switch up baits and techniques that you really can't do as often when you're trying to cover water by traveling so there is give and take to both.

      Il have to side with Tyler here. I am no pro fisherman by far. However I want my days to be productive. I have instituted the 15-20 minute rule and have seen a uptick in my bites. I don't think I'm missing the tanks as I will still give 15 minutes to areas that are not considered hot. But if that 15 minutes provides nothing I'm moving on.
