I'm just now getting in to jerk baits. All the places I have access to are pretty shallow water. Think my deepest hole is 8ft and it's not a big spot. Plus there a lot of underwater vegetation so most things with an open hook I don't usually use unless it's topwater.
Use heavier line it'll help keep the bait high in the column. A shallow diving Rouge with 17lb will run around 2 ft.... jerkbait fishing is about as easy as it gets. Pop. pop..... reel. Change up the pause on the pops and reel time they want it different everyday seems like.
I think u both together just discovered a (funny as can be, smack talking) funny series, or 5 part series that would be hysterical..... Talk to your producer, your views would go off the charts.
