- A recent flight review on @tap 's A321 Neo LR Business Class on a short haul hop from Lisbon (LIS) to London's Heathrow Airport (LHR). This aircraft features the airline's latest narrow-body business class product with fully flat beds, not bad for a short 2-hour flight! Thanks to a last minute aircraft switch we got to experience what could be one of the best intra-European business classes around. But what did we think of the overall product?
If the aircraft was flown regularly on key routes for connecting passengers, it would be an incredibly competitive product for those connecting to and from Europe and South America/Africa. Here's hoping that the airline invests a little more to make certain key routes across Europe benefit from this luxurious short haul experience.

Great video. I enjoy flying TAP and found this aircraft quite comfortable on trans Atlantic flights. I especially like TAP’s generally lower fares and I enjoy their catering although I recognize not everyone might enjoy Portuguese dishes. Thanks.

Jetblue didnt even exist, TAP Was already an international carrier with a wide longhaul network. Jetblue is a newbie baby and a lowcost carrier. TAP is a legacy carrier with many years of history. Its not the same league.
This isnt really a 'european' business class,as it is intended for long haul routes-------you were just lucky to get it!

It sure is! But sadly this isn't on every aircraft, and Turkish does give you a better seat most of the time!
I have just flown business class with TAP from Lisbon Portugal to Miami 12th March, I enjoyed the flight nice leg room flat beds,
Staff friendly but not as attentive as BA Staff, No champagne while flight was boarding, Took at least 45 mins before any interaction with a staff member, which was still limited We are flying TAP buisness back to Lisbon which is a night flight so will just sleep, Food I felt was disappointing, But over all enjoyed the flight,
Highly doubt this will be the regular aircraft for inter-European flights, just a lucky last minute equipment swap. But glad to see the lounge expanded. It’s always been an overcrowded disaster saved (if you’re lucky to get him) by an inventive bar tender!
They use this plane on domestic flights to some Portuguese islands (Funchal in Madeira and Ponta Delgada in São Miguel) on a regular basys. Even to Porto wich is just 277 km from Lisbon.
I’m a sucker for a throne seat. Great to see that on a narrow body! Nice report. Looks like out of Miami (nearest American airport TAP serves ) it’s the a330neo. Is that the same hard product you reviewed a few years back? The Recaro?
The 330 has the same 321 neolr interior. TAP,serves Miami,New York (EWR/JFK) Boston,Chicago and San Francisco.

I had the trip booked but I use expert flyer and noticed the configuration had changed that morning

Question, we are going to be flying from the states to Lisbon in business class. We will have a long layover in Lisbon. Does business class automatically allow you to use TAPs lounge?
It certainly does!
The same plane in intercontinental/longhaul flights has much better phones for business class. In this intraeuropean flight they gave him the simple earplug phones in business class, wich are the same they give in economy for intercontinental flights.
Is it a 3hours flight a short flight?!
I guess it’s all comparative, but for me that’s short 🤣
Considering long haul intercontinental flights can be as long as 18 hours long, 3 hours is short in comparison.
