- TAP Air Portugal recently introduced Airbus A330-900 NEOs into their fleet and I had the opportunity to take such a plane on the homeward bound leg of by recent business trip to Europe. At just 5 days old, I am excited to show you this brand new A330 in business class.

The reason why you couldn't scan your passport for the automated passport control system is because you entered Portugal via another EU country. If you had flown in from Toronto (YYZ-LIS-YYZ) for example, it would have worked, but since your entry into the EU happened in Copenhagen, the only port of exit that would have worked would've been Copenhagen. You can see at 4:22 right under the flags that pre-requisite explained - "have entered in [EU] through Portugal"

Never heard of an airline moving kids to business class so they can get better sleep! This is amazing of them!
a few years ago when i was on Cathy Pacific as an unaccompanied minor they moved me up to first-class to sleep!
Nothing better than 20 kids making a ruckus in the busines class, you paid 3.000 quid for on your only vacation for 3 years. -.-
at the same time imaging paying top dollar to be in business class just to have a group of kids potentially ruining your experience. i know i would have been all ecstatic and probably would have made a lot of noise talking to other kids, yelling, laughing etc.
@@angb8182 these are kids travelling alone without their parents, you underestimate how scary it is to go on a plane alone or with a flight attendant for a kid.

I forgot I had watched this years ago! A few weeks ago I was debating upgrading but couldn't find any information on this business class, only to find out after getting home my favourite travel youtuber showed me everything I needed to know years ago! Next time I'll check here before anywhere else XD

I'm impressed with this review. I used to fly with TAP often until I had the absolute worst issue I ever had with any airline and never flew with them ever again (been 10+years).
what was the issue
@@rottenpizza3026 Besides the enormous delay to check in, I had excess weight, which I was aware of and had come prepared to pay for.
The TAP employee at check-in yelled that fact at me and slammed the counter with her hand as she said my luggage was considered cargo. It was so aggressive and uncalled for that the other passengers waiting behind me became alarmed. I had never been treated that way in any such situation. It was beyond rude!
I ended up finding out where to pay for the excess luggage weight, paid it, took the name of the aforementioned employee and wrote a complaining email. Never received an apology. This was years 10+ years ago and I'm still waiting for an acknowledgement of my complaint.
I am Portuguese living in the US. I never used TAP and been treated that again in the dozens of times I've flown.
TAP never have better prices anyway.

Between A350 and A330 Neo i don't know what's better but in my opinion both are amazing. Are soap dispenser and faucet automatic or push button in the bathrooms?
Nice review! I also took the TAP A330-900neo from Lisbon to Salvador and it’s still one of the best business class experiences I’ve ever had! I particularly enjoyed the window seat and the in-flight entertainment. I have a question: which program/app did you use to create the route animation at 00:30? Thanks!
Probably not a program meant to do that specific thing as Toronto is misplaced. I would guess normal video editing software with a ken burns effect on the map and rotation of the plane image.

How come you use metric for your height but measure distance in miles and not kilometers?
Anybody knows how do you add TSA precheck to TAP tickets? With other airlines you enter your KTN when you buy the ticket, but TAP says to just add it to the boarding pass? How? Is there a spot when you check in online? I a flying with TAP soon. Very informative video, btw.

Moving passengers from economy to business class is usually done to improve weight imbalance and lower fuel consumption. I think..

Yes! Business class almost always entails lounge access. The only major exception are domestic flights in the US.

European business class is not overwhelming. They were friendly and served typical Porto wine.
The white foam is not packing foam. I fly almost every other week with TAP and this foam is on all their A330neo planes! I don’t now what it is for but I personally don’t like it. I’ve seen some kids drawing on it, not nice.
There was a map for children with different animals and he said "Needless to say, I was entertained for hours by this alone"

Been in this Lounge last year . Very uncomfortable lounge . Staff at serving bar took so much time to understand what i want . the sleeping area's was changed . Medium quality

Seems really tight for business.
It did seem so at first, but the seat width itself is more than enough to be comfortable sleeping in. I wouldn't knock any points off for the seat.

I find it so endearing and pure that any unaccompanied minor was allowed into business class after first meal if space allowed it. And smart too. After eating as a child, the first thing I wanted to do is nap and seeing how sleeping children are quiet children..means no fussy children. lol

@@ivan_lima you might be slightly stupid or unable to read, but I was asking just about economy class TOUR, not a full review. this could have been done during boarding/deboarding. Try to read properly and think first before telling someone else "think dude"..
All the seats were sterilised before the flight, so I didn’t want to sit in any of the Y and PY seats, it would’ve been unfair to their occupants. I also didn’t want to wait for the entire plane to alight and then waste the crew’s time. So maybe next time I’ll do a review in those cabins.
