Hi Mike! I am a Maya user and I wanna try more FX, I know it’s not really your thing but can you do a lighting tutorial, or direct me to a channel that has tutorials like that? Thank you and long time fan. Glad to see you back
Good sir, Im really interested in making a little animated short! Do you think Maya would be enough to accomplish this? And if so, what would be the workflow? Thank you in advance!
Would having Sharp edges on the CubeBase or on the copied Boulean affect the "retopo" smoothing of the final mesh? I mean would it be possible to have sharp edges on the cube or it would smohe it anyway?
The best way for this, in my opinion, of course, is to convert the mesh to a openvdb SDF and use auto retopo later. It's easier to do in Houdini or C4D. Unfortunately, Maya doesn't ship with openvdb tools.
As always Great Tutorials!
Thank you so much
Wow Mikes Great Tutorials
Thank you
shrinkwrap to a copy of the original combined geo (combined simply so you dont have a ton of history) to get sharper results after maybe ?
It's spectacular dear sir
nice, thankyu
Finally maya got a Boolean just like in blender

Absolutely. I have made multiple tutorials about the workflow on my channel
@@MHTutorials3D holy! I will check them out right now! Thanks!

Would have to do some testing but I would probably use ZRemesher or Topogun for a better result
That retopo job was just not acceptable, in my opinion. I would've just quickly manually retopologized it.
Otherwise, cool tutorial!
That's fair

What did you do with the remaining Ngones?
It's just an example. I would personally manually remesh it if I actually were to use it
right?
You are really funny
