@djm1995 FI is an acquired taste. I'm an OG Tool fan and to me, FI is their Beethoven's 5th Symphony. A masterpiece of 10+ minute long tracks. Is it raw like Opiate or Undertow? No. It's more mature. It might not be your cup of tea, but it's not a weak album by any stretch of the imagination.
@@matthewmcmahon1541 objectively weak? Not at all. But by their own standards it’s nowhere near the levels previously reached. I think 13 years will do that though, to be fair to them.
Nobody ever sees it but the two tracks, Harry Manback and DVon Satan are opposites of each other. One sounds like a love song but the words are full of hate, where the other sounds like a hate song but the words are full of sweetness, something to love. It's an audio yin-yang. I think conceptually this might be their best album. Not only in the words but the music and textures paint some of the most important strokes.
It's so weird because every song is so different. Yes, they have a style but so does ever artist and they're in a league of their own. Best band ever to exist imo. I don't think there will ever be another band like them.
They don’t sound the same. Otherwise how can you explain my knowing the difference between songs in one second. I might be obsessed….. don’t make it weird 🤣
Theres a hidden Song on the album aenima ! do you know ? after the Last song youl have to wait, let the CD Go on and then , after a few seconds , there it comes , called " lipal conjuring". check this one out !😜🤘
Fuck the live chat bro. You handle it really well, but all the explanations & comments are either mostly wrong or just hate filled bullshit. Maybe just listen to it like you have been and give us your input whenever you feel like. I find the top written comments can sometimes provide a lot more answers to questions. Cheers man, really enjoying the ride.
Yeah the chat is a mix of a few people just spouting off facts, a bunch of people who are just wrong, and like 90% people trying to be funny and constantly ruining the immersion
The second song Eulogy always makes me think of Trump. However, this is from 96 and there is a subtle line Maynard throws in there "Warn while some child might chill, nine-one-two" 912 is the address number for the church of Scientology so this song must be about L. Ron Hubbard. That makes sense when we speak of preaching above the crowd and get off the cross for the next fool martyr. He also mentions L. Ron Hubbard in Aenema when he says "fuck L. Ron Hubbard and fuck all his clones"
My god. U don't hv a Brad taste in music! Yr spot on my friend. TOOL grows on a person just like yr own tool. I can't wait till u do my fav album Fear Innoculum!!! It's just BRILLIANT. Its just great fucking music! lol.......to quote u from Lateralus. nice job. It won't pry open yr 3rd brown eye lol but lets say it will "stick" w/u! (yul get that later) ps.....remember the back pg fold over pic's from MAD magazine's? yul see sumthg wen u fold the word TOOL from the cover art.
Die Eier von Satan is a recept for backing weedcockies .😜🤘. Tool ist the greates unique musicart i've ever heard in my whole live ! and Maynard James Keenan is a unique art himself❗enjoy !
Tbh, most of Tool's haters who complain about the pompousness and pretentiousness themes gleaned from their songs don't realise that it has been Tool's fan base that pedestalised the band's music. Tool never allowed cameras, including any professional broadcasters at their concerts. So, Tool's popularity and prominence developed entirely thanks to their own hard work and beautiful music, and a hyper loyal fan base that grew and grew... and grew. Think about it, Tool did nothing to promote their 2019 album Fear Innoculum in the months before its release... they simply let their audience finally film an image of Fear Innoculum's release date on the big screen behind them... their last album was promoted entirely for free, by their fans. That's incredible. Anyway, as a massive Tool fan, I cannot stand the pretentiousness of many other Tool fans who treat their music like some religious scripture that contain universal truths to metaphysical concepts that are nothing more than cringe bastardised westernised interpretations of Eastern spirituality. The fan base can feel very cult-like at times. Regardless, as a drummer and psychologist whose listened to them since 2010 (was 15 back then, am 29 now), and still listens to them regularly every day, I still find their lyrics and musicianship to be very cathartic and helpful to me during challenging times.
who up stinkin they fist

PRYINGOPENMYTHIRDEYE

who up hooking with they peanits
Stinkfist is 100% a metaphor for how desensitized we are from our constant desire for stimulus!
True!! It’s also a literal metaphor for anal fisting lol
But also, fisting.
Lateralus gets all the hype, but this’ll always be my favourite Tool album.
Love the full album reactions. Can't wait for more Tool. Fear Inoculum is going to blow you away.
Mmm. I think he will be very critical of FI if he ever reacts. It’s their weakest by far and he’ll pick up on it baaaaad.

@@djm1995 13 years. They are different people. I don't think it's weaker, it's just different. It's grandpa TOOL 😂
Reacting to undertow is a necessity, hear us brad please
I think 46&2 is in the running for greatest song ever recorded
I think Tool has a long list of songs that are the best song ever recorded, including No Quarter which is better than Zepps own song.

Loving these uploads gaadaym
Masterpiece of an album
The people that complain about every song sounding the same are probably the same people that complain about an album being all over the place.
You cracked the code

I understand all the lyricism in Eulogy, but come on, “that drum break was fire 11/10” is all that needs to be said
You absolutely have to check out the live Salival version of PUSHIT. 🌀♾️🌀

FI is a different masterpiece. Aenima will always be my favorite album because of what it meant to me.

Trump was a joke even back in the 90s and earlier. Biff in Back to the Future 2 was modeled after him in 1989.
Fire album
yo whats up? subbed...spiral out, keep going.. Every moment is a payoff, nice. And nobody is cursed.

Stinkfist - 60 million plays. Not 60 thousand.

all of Kid rock's songs sound like another musician's song
WTF is this intro?
