What's troubled me from the beginning of all of this is that it will help solidify back-and-forth cycles of revenge. Whenever you're telling an entire group of people they are collectively guilty for something, you're bound to catch up a lot of people who are perfectly innocent. This can create resentment in them, and I hope it doesn't fuel another cycle. But it probably will.

No, I never say that. The only people who consider Jews white these days are young leftists. 20 years ago everyone knew Jews weren’t white. For the last 2 decades when someone mentions it I tell them, “It’s okay to be white, most of my friends are white. However, I’m Jewish. My roots and culture come from The Levant (middle east). We aren’t white, *some* Jews are ‘white passing’ but that doesn’t mean they’re white. It just means on occasion they have the awesome experience of being colleagues or friends with someone for years before finding out that that person is actually a bigot and that friend or colleague would have treated them differently from the beginning had it been known that they were a Jew.”
(I don’t speak like that to normal folks.)
Anyway 'White' is hardly meaningful as even a biological descriptor. It's completely meaningless as a cultural one because after decades of being associated entirely and exclusively with: not being 'cool' (incredibly cringe way to phrase it but I think you know what I mean), being the evil businessman / slumlord / polluter / terrorist in every movie or even kids' cartoon that has needed a villain since the 90s, deliberate ignorance in the enjoying of some kind of caste system hierarchical power that doesn't actually exist outside of like Brahmins vs Dalits in India, physical ineptitude, etc. Purely negative connotations, while the real cultural meaning of 'whiteness' was always *DEGREE OF ASSIMILATION INTO ANGLOID CAPITALIST INDIVIDUALIST RULE-OF-LAW SOCIETY*. That's it. So Jews are, for better or worse, definitely white.
