Before I met my fiancé I was in a dark dark place and on the days I felt like me he would tell me that exact thing; that it suited me being strong. My heart melts hearing this because it reminds me of how much he changed my life. I’m honoured someone was finally able to put into words how it feels meeting someone who makes you feel like this.

Oh my god, this is so beautiful. It brings me back to 2015-2016 dodie, where lots of the songs were just a simple melody and harmonizing with herself. I still enjoy her newer music, but this soft and simple style has always been my favorite.

I love the way she uses expression when singing. Is it just me, or does that make it seem lighter and more jovial? Because I can feel the lyrics when there's expression. Also, compared to how she used to dart her eyes around and take shorter and more anxious breaths, it's amazing and it's a physical, visible change. She just looks so much happier.

Okay so freshman year of high school, like fresh off the middle school boat, I had a really big crush on this guy. He was about a month younger than me. I was shy and awkward and when we started talking, I kind of turned a blind eye to the way he was treating me. He put me down all the time and he corrected me when I wasn't wrong and made me feel like garbage, but he asked me out and I'd had a crush on him so we went out. He immediately started calling me his girlfriend and he was kind of possessive, which gave me large amounts of anxiety, so I "broke up" with him even though we weren't really together. Coming from a middle school as toxic and horrible as mine was, recieving the same treatment somewhere that was supposed to be better honestly broke me. I blamed myself for a year and a half and told myself that I was too sensitive and it kind of ruined me in terms of dating.
There was this one guy and he was so sweet and amazing and funny, and he treated me like an actual person so I developed feelings for him. He apparently saw me the same way, so last year (junior year) he asked me out. I said yes, but that anxiety just kicked back up again and I called it off, which was one of me biggest mistakes. I did like him a lot, but my experience with dating got the better of me and I decided it wasn't time.
I kept hanging out with the newer guy, and I discovered that I still had feelings for him not too long ago. I've kind of accepted the fact that freshman year I was treated like garbage and it wasn't my fault for being unhappy.
This song came out, and when I listened to it, it spoke to me. I've come so far in these last few years, and I decided that I didn't want my bad experiences to rule me for the rest of my life.
So, at the end of my senior year, I asked that guy out. We have a date this Saturday. 🖤

I know the questions for Dodie, but we have pretty similar types(thick-ish yet fine), I'd suggest a saltwater/argan oil spray(easily made if you can't find one, but the salt is for light hold/texture and the oil for hair health and shine)! I like lightly misting when wet and using a hairdryer while shaking it out and misting again when dry for a style similar to the beachy look she has in this video! I also braid my hair almost every day when it's long lmao, it's quick and simple. Feel free to message me if you want to talk about styles for other hair types, I'm fairly experienced in healthcare and styling for most of them!

@@ridiaraspberry4095 Not if you use fine sea salt, and heat it(not to boiling!)with water til dissolved, let it cool and add the argan oil, then put it in a spray bottle that mists, not sprays and make sure it's mixed well before every use! The oil is what helps keep your hair soft and malleable with the salt. Great to add something like diluted lavender oil if you've got some that you KNOW is natural and pure(definitely same for argan oil)!

@@ridiaraspberry4095 1pt salt to 3pts water, and a little less oil than salt! I eyeball it and it will vary depending on what your hair needs, my hair is fine and dry so I use a bit more of both than someone with coarser hair might need. And oily hair can be a sign of dry follicles, so using oil is important even if you aren't putting product in. If you have issues keeping your hair healthy I advise forgoing commercial conditioners for an overnight deep conditioning with pure coconut oil once a week. I use conditioner once every few months if that and my hair is healthier than it's ever been!

Remember that it suits you to feel strong :) I did AS last year and flopped because it really hit me and I felt so overwhelmed and stressed. This year its helped me a lot to just do something as simple as believe in my strength and that I will definitely know something and to keep trying to actively think positively. Sounds a bit silly but it's all too easy to develop a mindset of I'm going to fail and become a bit of a self fulfilling prophecy. Not that you will fail at all though! Good luck with whatever exams you have!

The new Moomin Valley series is so good though! I like Snufkin just a little bit better than the other versions. He seems calmer and it really fits his character. And this song is so lovely and it makes me cry. I really relate to it and I'm happy for Dodie too. And it really fits the episode:)

I live in the USA and started watching Moominvalley because this girl told me that my voice sounds just like Snufkin's and she was right lol! He's my favorite character! I love this show because it shows the bond of friendship and life situations that we go through. That is why this show is great! :)
I really connected with this because when I got out of an abusive relationship and found my current boyfriend all he did was listen to me and then helped me after I finished. Thank you baby and thank you Dodie for your brilliance.
