Silicon based sealers.....put them in the bin!!! in our shop we ONLY use Loctite 515 Mastergasket or Loctite 518 Ally flange sealant.....That's all.
THe only place you will see any kind of Silicon is that used to block (purposely) the vent on the output seal recess of a paralever gearbox
