I watched TWO videos trying to learn how to install the lazy susan hardware. Omgosh my head hurt from trying to understand those videos. Then I come across yours and in SECONDS (without replaying 50000 times) I UNDERSTAND! Thank you SO much for making a video so easy to understand and follow 🙌
Happy to see you again after a long time . Those Lazy Suzan; s came out so beautiful , i love the pattern of them. Great Job , hope to see you soon with another project !!!!!!
Hey thank you. Hope to bring more content soon. 😃
Welcome back, love your work. And as usual, I'm going to "borrow" this from you.
Yes please do!! Thank you for support 😃
Welcome back Ainslee! You go girl! Looking forward to your new content.
Great lazy Susan by the way :)
Hey thank you 😃
Brilliant TURNTABLE, thanks for the video, love your style of teaching 😃
Thank you. Glad it was helpful :)
Great to see you back on the Tubes Ainslee! Been meaning to make one of those... but for painting in the workshop rather than serving. I didn't realise you could get the bits at the big green shed. WIll have to check it out 🤙
Hey thank you. Yeah I think they are new to Bunnings. They are also cheap which is good.
Hello Ainslee
im so glad i stumbled onto your channel. I am now in the process of binge watching all of your videos ha ha ha.
Just finished making my first lazy susan. Thanks for the tutorial.
Yay!!! That’s awesome!! Welcome! Thanks for the support
Thanks for the instructions, especially about mounting the hardware.
Glad it helped
Great project. Like Chris I might have to "borrow" this once I get up and running a bit.
Thank you. Of course!! That’s what it’s there for. They make great gifts
Awesome instructional video. Extremely clear and concise. Not too many videos on youtube seem so effortless and quick. A thumbs up and a subscribe just for that. Thanks for sharing.
Oh thanks Aaron!! Appreciate the support 😃
This is great, i have been wracking my brain trying to learn an easy way to attach the hardware.
Fantastic. Glad I could help 😀
Seeing this a year later. Great easy information for installing the hardwares. I’m making resin art onto some Home Depot wood rounds .. the suggested use is for table tops but I like how big & beefy these rounds are for a nice luxury lazy Susan application, on the 14” sized. Thanks for sharing your beautiful art work & how to put it together .. your wood works are amazing!!! Hope you’re charging a good hefty price for those bc they are top notch 🤩
Hey thank you. Lazy Susan’s are my favourite thing the make and the hardware is so easy and makes them cool. Great idea with the thicker pieces. 😀
First video I've seen of yours I subscribed great video thankyou for making it, your very talented!
Welcome 😀 thank you for the support
Finally a Vid that shows how to attach the hardware ... thanks heaps aye
Awesome. Glad I could help!!
Excellent ❤
Thanks 😊
Welcome back!
Thanks Greg!!
Thanks for a nice and interesting video.👍👍👍
Thank you 😃
@@SmallFryCreations You're welcome. Take care.
Thanks.
New sub from Long Island, NY. USA
:)
Thank you 😀
I follow April too !!! she is awesome!
I agree she is awesome!
Great work. If I wanted to make a larger one to support the weight of a kiddo (100-130 pounds), what would you suggest for the wood and the lazy Susan kit?
You’re amazing
Thank you. Glad your enjouying the content
Maravilloso tu canal, me suscribo, 👍👍👍🇲🇽
Very nice. What size base would be adequate for a 12”,18” round board? And how thick, like 1/2” or 1” thick base board? Thank you🤗I have a 18” round board and a 4” lazy Susan hardware..not sure about the baseboard, maybe 5-6” and how thick,1/2-1”? First time making one🤗
Thanks for this. The instructions that came with the hardware were ludicrous, and made no mention of an access hole on the bottom piece - it has you drilling all the way thru the circles - even counter drilling. Sheesh!
Wowzer thats insane. Glad I could help. :)
Very good your work. I would like to know which device you put to make the boards rotate, and if you have a link from where you bought it. Thanks.
Thank you. There is a link in the description for the hardware I use. 😃
I just watched Paul timber man’s guide to a lazy Susan….. this video seems much easier! 😅
hahaha super easy :)
Where did you get your template sizes (hole layout) from please?
Damn need the machinary amd a garage 😅
Very nice!! Where is the link to set up the router on the board to make the circular cut?
Thank you. In the video decription there is a link to the circle cutting jig :)
Wow, what a great video! Thanks for all the tips! What markets do you sell at?
Fantastic. Not to many markets anymore. I mainly sell online
@@SmallFryCreations such a bummer not being able to see the wares in person. Been trying to find markets that have resumed in Sydney, unfortunately no luck.
Looking to make a couple of lazy susans for rellos...Thanks for the video. As an aside, which markets do you sell at? ( I am in Sydney).
Thats awesome! I no longer sell at markets as I don't have the time but when I was I was selling at Mosman and Kirribilli. The lazy susans are great fun to make
Great video. Just a thought - you had a gripper right there (0:58) - you should use that instead of those silly push sticks :)
😃 I do sometimes. If I’m being honest it’s not my favourite thing. I find it not to be very grippy
@@SmallFryCreations Yeah, totally get that. But it's better than those crappy push sticks that came with the saw. I need to make some proper push sticks...one more thing on the to do list ;)
Nice job, though try Carbatec for a good range of Lazy Susan's at a good price
Ooo I will be sure to check them out. Thank you😀
what is the access hole for if you used the jig to make the holes?
To be able to connect the plate to the top piece of time.
I want to make a LS for my round soldering station for silversmithing. I have the same hardware as yours….can it be attached to something other than wood? I’m thinking; a fire-brick of some sort. Do you have any advice on how I can fix the mechanism to stone?
I don’t see why it couldn’t work. You would just need to talk to your hardware store about the bear fixings. I would say you would need to drill a hole in the fire brick. Then use a plug if some description and then screw into the plug. I think that would work
Is the satin clear coat like a mini wax brand & is it food grade safe?
The brand of finish is cabots. It’s technically not food grade safe however they say every finish is food safe once cured.
A good project, but isnt for all world wide application, because its hard to find the hardware for it. A good alternative is ball bearings. 😁
Amazon has them cheap
What's the thickness of the top & bottom (that you've found to hold up best)?
Everything is between 18mm and 20mm and never had any issues. 😀
Awesome work on the lazy Susan, just wanted to know what a fare price is I've started making these and also chopping boards
I Start the lazy Susan’s at $79 but may increase depending on wood price. I haven’t made cutting boards to sell at this stage so not sure what to price 😀 hope this helps
@@SmallFryCreations thanks that helps me out I just discovered your channel a week ago and I'm really liking it keep it up
@@SmallFryCreations why I was asking is I've made some and was asking $70 and some people thought it was a bit much but I don't think they realise how much wood costs
Yes is it hard at time where people don’t see the value. I say hold out and the right audience will come. I started selling at $49 and they flew off the shelve so I upped the price. Another tip on the pricing. I never price at round numbers. I general will have everything with a 9. For example $69 looks better then $70. Old trick but does work.
Thanks for all the support and welcome to the channel 😀
@@SmallFryCreations cool thanks for the tip I'll keep that in mind
Very nice I might make one, is this on Pinterest ?
Thank you. Not on Pinterest at this stage
how do I cut them without making a nail hole in the center? 😁
You would have to super a scrap piece of timber to the board to run the round from and then remove it after. You would also have to put timber on the router to raise it up to the same height of the board. It is on the under of the board and it doesn't go all the way through so I don't think anyone really would see it.
Hola niña q bonito ofició tambien las mujeres pueden felicidades bendiciones
Hi, would you be so kind and tell us for how much do you usually sell them? :) They are very nice btw! I was wondering how to make them and the trick with the little hole is a game changer :D
Fantatic to hear they were helpful. I sell the 50cm susans for $149. Makes a great gift
Does it matter how big your top half is for the lazy Susan hardware?
The hardware will normally tell you the largest size you can do as the top. The hardware I use in the video can take upto a 50cm circle
The music in the background is spoiling it
What wood did you use
Any hardwood I could find. These ones are mostly oak, merbau and red gum
Sorry but I don't see a link on the Circle jig you mentioned
OOO Good pick up. I have updated the information so it should be there now :)
Dumb question 🙋♂️ Why does the bottom need to be smaller than the top? Can I make them the same size?
Yep you could do that for sure. I just perfer the look of the top looking like it floating. The bottom could be any size you like. :)
So...whats that hardware called? The metal bits I mean...
Its called Lazy susan hardware. I don't think it has another name
How much do you sell them for by the way?
Depending on the wood cost I normally sell them approx $60
Thank you for the information 👍🌟
@@SmallFryCreations Thanks for that info. I wish people were a bit more upfront about what things cost / what they can sell them for. Seems to be a big secret for some. We all need to help each other out.
Maximum Chips no worries. Your right have to help each other out!!! Glad I could help!!!
Can I purchase these?
I will have some up for sale in the next couple of weeks. I’m hoping to be able to ship Australia wide so if your in Australian then keep an eye out on my Facebook page 😀
I don't want to waste any time listening to thumping music!
Good video but please remove the music 🙏
Too much talking
way to fast and confusing. no help at all
Terrible!
Do not explain how to do this very well
