But how the tracking was set on the original device can play into playback clarity also. Fast forward or reversing can cause the tape to be stretched over time. Although many wouldn't notice. Sound on the video can lose high frequencies. Of course in this digital age. Anything and everything can be manipulated if they have the resources. Money, equipment, time, etc. Bottom line. Appreciate the effort. Watch, don't watch. Statements are based on observation. Yes there was snow on the video. Perhaps the criticism or problem could be addressed by purchasing an upgrade to your system. There is solutions. There are answers. But, what are your needs?
