Hello Cecil..As you can see that I've stumbled across your channel recently and try to catch up on all your incredible formulas..You are amazing in what you do and humble to share it with us...I do have a question..Can I put the ground flaxseed in a cheesecloth bag and keep it like that in the glycerine to ferment or do it need to be uncovered..Just thinking it makes it easier not to strain it afterwards...🙏🤔
You are a blessing you know? When I use flaxseed. I make gel instead 😊.. wow you have taught me a lot! I have powdered and cooked flax and chia seed mixture which I mixed up with glycerin. I am just waiting to see the outcome. However, mine is cooked☹️.. I hope I didn't destroy the useful nutritional value in the seeds. Once again, thank you so much.
Hi there Cecil, thanks for your awesome and perfectly helpful videos, I’d like to ask you a thing, in this one and the other videos like cucumber chamomile extract you use glycerine always, is there any substitute for it, or can we use olive oil instead?
Thank you for your kind words dear. Yes definitely. One of the simplest ways to extract the skin-loving properties of plants is to make herbal oil. This is done by infusing dried herbs and flowers in a carrier oil such as olive oil, almond oil or even coconut oil depending on what you need it for. The oil should be ready after four weeks. After that, you strain the oil and can use it directly on your skin or for other products like massage oil. You can also use it in your daily beauty routine as a serum or as an ingredient in body balms, lip balms, ointments and creams. Among the many herbs you can add to oil are: Calendula (flower), Chamomile (flower), orange peel, Lavender (flowers), Lemon Balm (leaf), Plantain (leaf), Rosemary (leaf), orange blossom, the list goes on...
Thanks so much for this recipe but can I use pure glycerin instead of vegetable glycerin? Can I use rose water for the water extract instead of distilled water? Thank you, Waiting for your response.
Thank you Cecil....your videos are very inspiring. My question is what else we can use other than glycerine....what are other alternatives list for making extracts..?
Thank you dear. You can use grain alcohol and propylene glycol or just grain alcohol. You can check out this video where I prepare my extract with grain alcohol: ua-cam.com/video/RQbwL3My1e0/v-deo.html

Hello .. I have a question about carrot oil .. For how long can I use it if the juice got into my carrot oil … I just don’t want to throw it away😞 please reply
Yes, for this method, you have to ground the seeds, else you will end up up a gel that may be messy to separate from the seeds, thus tampering with the hygiene of your product. The measurements are not based von storage container. I like to work with 50 grams or 100 grams when doing demonstration videos.
Maam I have seen many of your extract videos. In one of the videos, you made chamomile extract and green tea extract. So what is the reason that to make sone extract we have to wait for 4 weeks and for others we can get extracts in a day or so??
@@spillbeautybean3136 NO the method will not work with flaxseed extract, flaxseed is not the same as green tea or chamomile tea. For your flaxseed extract, please just follow the directions in this video.
@@cecilvig on what basis does the process differ? Is it not depending on wet or dry drug used? If not, how to calculate the percentage of glycerine and waters based on the drug used?
Not with flaxseed, else you just get a gel that will be diifficult or messy to separate from the seeds, and this will tamper with the hygiene of your extract.
