I reckon the story should've had Piccolo become the new guardian/god of earth after he remerged with Kami-Sama, rather than Dende taking on that role. Piccolo's the more interesting character and it would've given him further purpose in the series, especially amongst all of the Super Saiyan characters.
Why did Piccolo not want to fight Shein? Because he was The Supreme Kai and Piccolo thought fighting him would be disrespectful? Or maybe cause he thought Shein’s reason for coming to Earth was important, so he didn’t want to fight him? Piccolo thought he was the Grand Kai.
Piccolo is stronger than Supreme Kai. Fear of the character does not make him stronger than him. For example, when Goku fought against Nappa and Nappa defeated Vegeta, he was afraid of Goku, although Vegeta was much stronger than Goku at that time.
Why? Because its different from what you're used to I guess, confusing something different as bad is a common thing with many less open minded fans, I've watched all of this dub and it may not be up to par with the funimation version overall, but its far from being a bad dub, and sometimes rivals and even surpasses funimation on certain scenes, this is quite a good scene on the same level as the funi version imo, I just like both, the voice acting is also quite superb here I think I prefer Oceans supreme kai, he's more ominous.
For your information asshole, I grew up with the ocean dub as a child! As I grew, I saw how terrible it really is. So don't you fucking lecture me on being use to what I have seen; the usually use that card on people who say kai sucks and think the Z dub is better when clearly kai is better in a few places. Supreme Kai had so much character potential. DBZ kind of wasted him.
Had Supreme Kai been introduced any other saga before this one he would have been a beast but by this point he was simply outclassed.
After Brian Drummond's Vegeta, Scott McNeil's Piccolo is my favorite DBZ voice.
