The Namek's original evil came from humans, I think, and his general disappointment in them. Or from all the years waiting in the Yunzabah Heights. 3. Immediately after becoming Kami, he DOESN'T go after King Piccolo 4. Kami regains his inner evil when he gives up on humanity, which is just so ironic because he already purged it once, and it was Goku who restored his faith in people. 5. When did he forget his name?

I assume that the negative enregy purged didn't immediately take physical shape, so from Kami's perspective it might have seemed as if it had dissipated as it he expelled it from his body. I also bet that things started out slowly, with Piccolo eventually taking form then going on a quest for power rather than immediately starting a rampage. He does create demonic offspring and starts terrorizing villages, but he is eventually imprisoned by Master Mutaito and the demons killed off by his pupils, which included young Roshi. It's also not really explained what Kami actually does in his role as a protector god of Earth. Does he actually know what goes on below his platform? There have been wars, despots with armies (such as the Red Ribbon Army), demons and vampires and all sorts of shenanigans going on on Earth and Kami never seemed to intervene. Maybe he's just guarding against otherworldly entities that want to destroy the planet.

So let me break this down, Piccolo/Kami was initially a child abandoned on this mountain who waited years on that mountain for his people to come back for him and he realized that no one will ever come back for him so he then moved on in an effort to become the guardian of earth where the guardian split Piccolo/Kami where "King Piccolo" was the dark blood thirsty namekian and Kami was the pure hearted namekian. Goku kills king Piccolo, but before King Piccolo assumes his death he lays an egg which births the main Piccolo we are familiar with now, meanwhile Kami is still alive and is aging which is why the main Piccolo we know seems much younger than Kami. Skip to Frieza saga, Piccolo merges with nail. Skip to cell saga, Piccolo reunites and fuses with Kami. So Piccolo is like 3 mfs in one namekian.
