@jacobmooneyham6413 I have a stock '95 as well. Can you tell me what difference, if any, the stage 1 and HPX lines made for your truck? I think my stock HPOP is still going strong, so not sure if it is worth it to upgrade.
@@sbag11 for me the price of a new stage 1 hpop and a remanufactuered stock was almost the same, I do recommend the hpx lines as it allows proper oil pressure to the passenger side back cylinders, makes the truck idle quieter and run better when cold

I did a video about the fuel system. You can use the tanks because they are the same, but you will need to change the pickups, and add in the fuel selector valve. Gas trucks don't use them.
@@mygarage. is there any more that I need to know when comes to the dash harness? I purchased a 96 dash harness with the dash light display. Seen your video on it but wasn’t sure if there more I need know that not on video on doing the harness.
Any idea on the mind of power the truck makes? Just picked me up a 97 crew cab with a 7.3 powerstroke and looking at replicating your build. Love the videos!
I'm not sure what the fuel mileage was with the stock Powerstroke. I got the engine and everything from a donor and swapped it over. This truck use to have a 460 in it. I can tell you the fuel mileage is pretty good for what the truck is. I get about 14 in town, about 18 on the highway. I haven't towed anything heavy yet and I am curious to see what it does. I'm hoping the new HPOP will help with the mpg's. I don't expect much.... maby .5mpg increase???
Did you swap over to the supderduty style Exhaust back pressure setup?? Or was that something that changed in 97? I also noticed you did the SD valve cover upgrade. I want to do that but I'm hesitant since I just spent $425 on a new motor harness:P
I believe you are talking about the exhaust pressure sensor and tube... I'm running the 97 set up. And yes, I am running the single connector valve covers gaskets. They are worth it!
@@mygarage. I'll swap over to the new style valve covers next time I do them. Just got a new motor harness and valve cover gaskets with my new injectors. Should buy me about 3 years or so. I didn't remove the 7.3 engine and transmission together. To do that you would need to lift the body to get everything to clear. I took the 7.5 and manual transmission out together but they are not as tall as the 7.3 is. A 3 ton hoist would be more than sufficient, engine and trans weight is about 1500 pounds. If you are going to pull them together I would recommend lifting the body at least 6" off the frame otherwise the oil pan and bell housing will not clear the cross member.
I had the opportunity to do a 12v swap and went with a 7.3. The main reason is the 7.3 is an easier swap, and it's cheaper. There is a lot of stuff you need to get to make the Cummins fit, and then the gauges and wiring all has to be modified. You kinda go down the rabbit hole of expense.
Do you know what years 7.3 will swap into these trucks. I have a 93 cclb I'm trying to follow your swap and do. Just trying to figure out the year range
94.5 up power stroke would be best.the 7.3 idi will fit, but not worth the cost and effort. Ideally you want a 96 or 97 power stroke for the swap. 99 up will fit, but you will need to change a lot of the bolt on stuff to work with the OBS.
Yeah, it should work. There wasn't much change with the electronics and wiring from 94.5 to 97. The engines had a few slight changes from 94.5 to early 96, but it will all work.
I have a 97 F250 and right now I'm buying injectors and a pump for my truck. And I'm looking at buying this same pump. But you seem pretty satisfied with the pump. But it's been 4 months since this video got put up. How's the truck and pump today?
Thank you for the question. The truck is running great! If I had a choice to buy a pump, I'd but this same one again! I took the truck on a long road trip (about 250 miles) I averaged 19mpg, and the truck runs smoother, with more power throughout the rpm range. Definitely worth the money!

I havent done an actual measurement on that, but I would say about 6 seconds. It's faster from 50 to 80 than it is 0 to 60. It has a hard time keeping traction after 2nd gear. That's when the boost comes on hard and it starts putting power down. It will spin tires through 2nd gear and most of the way through 3rd.

What's the 0 to 60 on the truck
I havent done an actual measurement on that, but I would say about 6 seconds. It's faster from 50 to 80 than it is 0 to 60. It has a hard time keeping traction after 2nd gear. That's when the boost comes on hard and it starts putting power down. It will spin tires through 2nd gear and most of the way through 3rd.
Ya that's true. How much money you put in that motor? I want to get those parts for my truck so bad.
It's not cheap. I'm about 6,000 into the engine now..... and 5,000 into the Sam Wyse transmission..... stock one didn't hold together for long.
Ok thanks good work like the truck
Thank you!
Oil pressure low to open injectors
Actually had an injector fail on me about 2 days after I posted this video. Full force is checking them out now to see what happened.
My CNC pump didn't last 8k miles! The customer service was terrible!
That's a bummer. I've had really good luck so far.
