I have their adrenaline hpop, fuel CPR system that deletes the fuel bowl(love that 1!) wicked wheel 2, 7.3 to international water pump housing with filter system, their PSD wastegate, a intercooler, their heavy duty transmission with oil pain(amazing product), tuner, NON-ebv pedastal, and some boots, probably forgot a few things but still. Just amazing people!!!! highly recommend their products
Bought my 7.3 brand new. Still driving it. 180 k and ready for another run from the east coast to the west coast. The reason the oil pumps need replaced is that parts do wear. Especially no one knew to drain the HPOP reservoir. Oil sludge will kill these injectors. And if you do replace the pump and no change . the injector O- RINGS ARE LEAKING.
LOL. The Hpop drains itself every few seconds into the injectors, then right back into the oil pan, Lpop brings oil up to Hpop from pan. Repeat, repeat, repeat every few seconds, fact.
@@rc9660 Yeah so you are saying that sludge does not lay in the reservoir .oil rails being shut down in extreme conditions. That the crap gets in the injector solenoids and cause wear. and therefore no start in cold weather. And all the bullshit about the oil circulates. Small/ Big block chevys ford dodge. always had sludge at the back of the head in the rocker galley. And seen the oil changed on a regular basis. Not a chevy fan but paid the bills. so back to the crap in the oil rails? The top end holds 3 quarts. And the circulation rate just because its " HIGH PRESSURE" It dont flow very fast to have an exchange rate that you would think it would flush out any crap. Well it dont. And that lil bit of crap causes all the problems.

Don't waste your time poking something something into the inspection port. Don't believe everything Bill Hewitt says, he's a great guy but he's a hustler for more business.
Looking at buying my first 2002 7.3,ive had 6.4 and 6.0 but i heard 7.3 is the best i guess we'll see but surprise it has a bad auto transmission,thanks for the info i just subbed to your channel.
Have to start upgrading my 02 7.3. On the engine side . Stock injectors. After market exhaust & air intake ..Sounds like a good upgrade seeing as my daughter tows her 2 horses . ✌️
I have early 99 with a small turbo and it’s running good up until last three years. We’re now in the process of changing the valve cover gasket wiring in this truck stock. The only thing we’ve done is put a bigger downpipe on it and eliminated away skate completely, will this pump be better than buying a factory one and what’s the price difference if you could do a video and that I would appreciate it
Is it a remanufacfured hpop with steel inserts for hoses? Or a completely redesigned pump? More data is needed, like real numbers, dyno testing data. Guy could sell reading glasses to a blind person… best upgrade would be downpipe and intake. Diesel needs to breathe. Can I interest you in this brand new (slightly used) car? Great deal just for you.. only 1 k miles! ( came from New Orleans after Katrina)
I have been running this pump for about 6 years and can say that pressure did not change with it. I'm sure if I upgraded injectors it would make a difference. Starting is not faster and throttle response did not change. Would I buy again, only if planning for larger injectors. If you already need to replace the old pump, this can't hurt. Why put back in something with 0% chance of increasing power. As always thanks for the good video.
Purchased one of these and had it installed recently on my 2003 F350. Currently my HPOP will hit 1700psi @ WOT then drops off. Replaced IPR & ICP. Can't find any leaks. Any troubleshooting ideas?
A lot of things to consider here, how much duration is your tune calling for, what size injectors, and have you checked your injectors for high oil return?
I got a 7.3L powerstroke HPOP from Dieselsite but unfortunately it does not have the Adrenalin label on it. Don’t like Chinese copies at all, especially after paying over $1000..
Late 94 7.3l. AA stock injectors. What all do I need to install this pump. New hoses? Other upgrades? My truck has a tuner but I rarely use it. @@thoroughbreddiesel I think he may not understand the HEUI injection. I could be wrong. Some people don't know that the 7.3 has an engine oil pump and one for the injectors.
I got full force 180cc stock nozzle on my 97 and get code 1211 on a heavy pedal hill but truck seems fine. Is that because a stock pump?? Trk has 315000 on it and runs great other than the 1211 once and awhile. Want a bigger turbo just over stock and then get a chip and use tuner just for gauges instead of using edge evolution tow tune. Trk is stock other than mishimoto rad and injectors and full exhaust (3in down then 5in straight pipe) and intake kit. I tow a 13k trl locally and a 400mile trip once a year

It’s going to flow more oil, it’s mostly going to help if you have aftermarket injectors, more fuel pressure, more fuel, more power with the correct tuning (air, fuel, timing)
Low pressure oil pump lubricates the engine and feeds oil to a small resivior for the HPOP the HPOP feeds the heads high pressure oil to supplu the injectors, if the injectors need more oul volume then the pressure will drop. So more volume means you should be able to sustain the needed pressure. These engines don't have high pressure fuel pumps, it is all done with in the injector with high oil pressure.
mine is a 97 stock pump. had many leak issues with output lines. i eventually drilled 1/4 boss fitting nonesense. to 3/8 PIPE THREAD .NO MORE LEAKS. still stock billet pump , no steel inserts.

Yes, this pump really shines when there is a demand (hauling). If you do a lot of hauling where this pump raises your efficiency the truck will get better fuel economy as well (depending on overall health of the truck). You will be very pleased with the Adrenaline.
I just installed 180 30 injectors from ff the truck feels like it has stock injectors with edge tuner on it nothing spectacular. The truck is a 01 with 146000. I feel th e truck should run alot better than that. What is your opinion?
I’m starting to replace several items (mostly preventative due to mileage) on my 02 F-350 with 387,000 miles on her. As I tear into the motor, I continue to add to the list 🤦🏻♂️. Like a fat man with cake, can’t just stop at one bite. 🤣
Hook up a OBD scanner and a laptop with freeware. Look at your IPR pressure while towing something heavy with your foot in it. You should see it down around 500 psi or so with the engine idling, then as you start accelerating it should run up to 2500-3000 psi. If it stops below 2500 or so, then replacing it will help. Apparently it was a bit of a crap shoot with the factory pumps. Some would put out 3200 no matter what flow rate, others would fade out if you required continuous 2500+, others would never make it above 2200 or so. I have two 2000 F250's that are identical in every way, one is much stronger than the other, it's pump will hold 2800 as long as I need it to. The other will maintain 2200, but that's as far as it goes.
Obviously you must not tow much. Make a visit to a big rodeo, or a campground for RV's. You very rarely see a Chevy. Why is that? They can't haul weight and last.
@@bullstuff3938 if it did tow the ford and trailer it would be made possible by Cummins. Everyone knows the Cummins packaging (Dodge) is junk iron. The ultimate rig would be a Cummins engine mated to an Allison transmission then installed in a Ford Superduty.

400k on my truck it just made 25 years and I never had any engine problems.I know it’s about time for some work.

Get a ob2 scanner and check hpop pressures if it's low then get new pump. Otherwise no need unless you get bigger injectors

Being new to 7.3 diesels, I'm wondering why injectors need a higher volume oil pump.
Efficiency. This is an upgrade over you stock pump as well and will provide a greater amount of flow of oil during high demand times, towing, etc.

Probably a combination of the tuning and injectors that are overwhelming the system. Run it without the tuner and see how she does.

It basically makes your injectors work better.
HPOP feeds HEUI injectors causing more reliable fuel injection.
HEUI injectors need their own high pressure oil pump - and still have an oil pump for the engine, which is called the low-pressure oil pump.
Low pressure oil pump lubricates the engine and feeds oil to a small resivior for the HPOP the HPOP feeds the heads high pressure oil to supplu the injectors, if the injectors need more oul volume then the pressure will drop. So more volume means you should be able to sustain the needed pressure. These engines don't have high pressure fuel pumps, it is all done with in the injector with high oil pressure.

You need custom tunes to properly use those injectors. Period.
