I enjoy watching the teammates' games. Your commentary is fun too. You get so excited it is contagious lol. I think that's why I like watching your videos. You love the game so much and have so much fun it makes it feel so much more fun. Even though you've been playing for 2 decades at this point but you're as excited as ever lol.
100% my favorite commentator/mtg player. LSV always has great insight and actually talks through so many potential outcomes/situations that it makes you feel as though you're sitting right there.
Hey LSV! Wanted to thank you for all the vintage cube videos throughout the years, but especially over the last couple months. I only really play magic when I'm drafting cube now, and had a really bad cube season the last time it was out. Almost decided to stop drafting cube altogether. Watched your videos and your months long losing streak and actually found a lot of solace in it. Gave retro cube another shot and won 9 trophies! Now convinced it was just a bad cube iteration and I look forward to future iterations!
I feel this comment in my soul. The cube before this old school version just kept rotating in busted new cards with little synergy or theme. They’ll probably go back to that but it was nice while it lasted.
I really enjoy the spectating of other players games when it's convenient/"worth it". Your judgment on that seems to serve one up about every other week, which feels about right
Hah I hadn’t read the fine print either When Skyclave Apparition enters, exile up to one target nonland, nontoken permanent you don't control with mana value 4 or less. When Skyclave Apparition leaves the battlefield, the exiled card's owner creates an X/X blue Illusion creature token, where X is the mana value of the exiled card.
Just letting you know, LSV, that you’re by far my favorite content creator on the entire platform, heck the whole internet, for that matter. You’re the best! Thanks for your incredible content.
Programming note: You moved the LSV-cam up a while back when you and BK were livestreaming the Vintage Cube keep draft and never moved it back down, so now it's obstructing the view of your hand/board on MTGO at times.
Slimefoot makes a Dredge package look real. For some reason Magic Online is committed to including Rootwalla stuff, which really has nothing to do with Dredging, but in more capable hands Stinkweed Imp and friends can turbo quickly. Some Lands overlap.
I liked seeing the other game! and I also liked when you used to show your teams decks since it showed a lot of the different things that were happening during the draft, while being a pretty quick segment
The best part about watching your team mates games with you is that we get to see what it’s like to finally play with power and have the nuts artifact deck lmao
LSV big fan, long time watcher. I appreciate all your videos! I just wanted to say thank you for your daily uploads. I downloaded magic arena to play a cube draft and with your tutelage I am proud to say I went 7-2 on my first attempt!
LSV Commentary is Goat... last few videos also are awsome seeing him obviously so excited about his new Arrivals 🎉🙏🙋♂️ Lots of Love for you and Yours Louis 🎉 when life settles down a bit would love to see you and Gabby co-commentate Once again 👌
1:17:00 I think the play was just to cast Chandra and take out Laelia while you still could. Hopefully you still get a chance to Emberwild later. I think this is the play I would have gone with even if I didn't notice that Laelia was already a 4/4, because casting captain on that board makes the game quite a bit more volatile whereas killing Laelia and landing Chandra puts you insanely far ahead. Emberwild is the higher value play but Chandra is much higher tempo and still about equal on value since you probably get to plus chandra next turn and you keep them off a card from laelia. edit: nm, you point this out after the match. Although I think playing Chandra is still the play even without Laelia growing an additional +1/+1.
Feel free to make videos of only commentating others matches as much as you want. Your insight on the vintage cube is super interesting. I haven't played magic in years now but still watch your videos every day for the commentary.
When we were watching that epic Upheaval match I kept thinking how LSV would’ve just conceded if he was the RW player 😅 Good lesson there in sticking it out
Can you elaborate on why you took Fiery Confluence over Inti? You had two premium reanimate spells and I thought Inti was generally a higher powered card. Thank you for the great content!
Hey LSV. Love your videos. Perhaps consider using a high-pass filter in your editing? Lots of unintended/unexpected heavy bass in your videos that I pick up when watching your videos on my home theater.
Match 2 was rough to watch. I don't know if you were beating Parallax Wave either way, but it felt like blood token to discard overlord and just hope to draw the swamp might have been a better line turn 3 after the cut down. And playing mountain over great furnace had to be wrong.
Hey LSV, long time fan, first time caller all that. I really appreciate you reviewing the team's decks before the matches. Is there any chance you could bring that back in a power ranking format prior to the games? I frequently see decks on here where I think "this looks fine", but I have a hard time telling which deck on paper is "better", which is something I'd love to learn to be better at.
Can we get a short introduction on BK? How long do you know each other? How long does he play Magic? Does he play only Cube? Which Cubes? Thanks a lot :-)
I actually think when you get games like the one after Match 1, that hearing you commentate (even if its one-sided to your team) is both additive entertainment to the video and can maybe be educational as a "finer points" type of learning. A lot of the stuff your viewers may know, but at worst reinforcement of knowledge is good.
Yeah that turn was a strange one, and no I”m sure most people missed the Skyclave thing, I did, doesn’t come up often. I think the play was to just attack for 2 with Bomba. As bad as it seems, I think it was the only option. You don’t didn’t want the Skyclave to die, at least not yet. With them having the Embereth Kalif under the the Skyclave, and you being at 5, it made it a pretty bad boardstate for you.
round 2 game 1 would have required you noticing the robber triggering the laelia immediately and just gunning it down with chandra that turn instead of casting the emberwild captain.
Retro Cube changed LSV :( He used to say how messed up Fire Covenant was and then never take it. Now he's saying how messed up it is, taking it and even MAINDECKING it For real though, getting to see that extra match was peak, always enjoy seeing some other decks pop off from a different perspective
I personally don’t really care for the spectating games, however, I can just fast forward past them when I want. So if others enjoy it definitely keep doing it!
I don't really care for watching your teammates' matches for extended periods. An occasional check-in between matches is fine, but I don't usually want to watch two games (also, 23 minutes to play only two games is wild!).
1) I love you're showing and commenting on other teammates' matches. 2) Watching others really makes you notice how fast LSV plays compared to others lol
Game one match one when you got archon, overlord and broadside back. Couldn’t you have attacked with broadside that turn and won the game? Not sure if I’m missing something. Love the videos!

If lsv sees free value he can't pass on it.
1:16:45 Oh wow "The Exiled Card's Owner" got all of us xD
Hah I hadn’t read the fine print either

Another day, another video. Great day.
Simple as that.
Love you popping in on games! Your commentary is very insightful and enjoyable.

i like the pop in on the match the commentary and discussion of lines are always interesting
I like the live look ins, and I enjoy looking at the rest of the team's decks real quick after the draft to see where everyone ended up.
I liked seeing the other game!

Loved the drop in game with your teammate. Sick games!
Love the live pop ins. I really enjoy your in-the-booth stuff.
getting to see more cube is always welcome im a big fan of watching the other players draft and play matches

Thank you for drafting reanimator I have really been wanting to see it
I appreciate drafts like this that remind us that anyone can make mistakes
thank LSV for another blessed day
You watching and commentating other games is literally more content. W.
When we were watching that epic Upheaval match I kept thinking how LSV would’ve just conceded if he was the RW player 😅 Good lesson there in sticking it out
I like seeing your face as much as the next guy but I sure would like to see how much loyalty those planeswalkers got

I really enjoyed spectating the trading haymaker match
I'm all for checking in on the other games when there's a banger going on!
I like when you pop in on the other matches 👍

1:46:30 what's the point in Saddling and passing?
Normally you get the Skyclave token but opp had exiled their own creature with it, so they received the token when it died
Any way to move the card preview from behind your camera window? It’s impossible to read the cards with your current layout.
I put these on in the background at work so the longer the better! Same for LR ofc

Teammate games are sick and worth it

He was resolving these spells in his 2nd main. He attacked with the Eye to provoke the Solitude since he sensed that something was afoot.
@ thanks, can’t believe I completely missed that lol.
Where can we go if we want to play in these team drafts?
I would have probably Reanimated Phelia, can clear blockers for Bronco and if not needed can reset Emperor of Bones.
seems like watching your teammate play academy/artifacts locked you in
i dont think ive ever seen luis start embreth shieldbreaker lol
Your commentary is the nuts. So yes! Please pop into other people's games.
wording on laelia is weird. since they werent the ones exiling, i dont think it should get a counter.
Which cube list is this?
Rakdos >>>>
i like to waqtch ur teammates games aswell
How is evolved sleeper still in the cube ?
It might be too hard, but recording some other games and only showing them if they are sweet would be cool.
I really hate the decision to not play the Bayou. In this deck it is just a Swamp, but it would mislead opponents to what is in your deck.
.
*says he’s not putting uncastable cards in his decks*
*slams archon without hesitation*
love the videos LSV!
34 second and not even 1000 views yet. LSV fell off
