Since you asked for friend-draft requests, I think a Sierkovitz sighting here could be fun! And maybe a Nassif draft as a treat for those that complain that you play too fast? :P
@LSV : Hey :) Congratz on the infinite combo :) P1P2 no love for micromancer ? Feels like a better card to me than the pie, significantly better even, to the point that it's ok if it's a U card and not a B card after a P1P1 good B card ?
I always thought Tragic Banshee was badly templated. Makes it seem like nothing happens if something hasn't died. Shouldn't it be: 4B Tragic Banshee Creature - Spirit 5/3 U When Tragic Banshee enters, target creature gets -1/-1 until end of turn. Morbid -- If a creature died this turn, that creature gets -13/-13 until end of turn instead.
It looks a lot more appealing than it is. It removes abilities, but it leaves the opponent with a 1/1 that can help on blocks, peck in for damage, chump, act as sacrifice fodder, etc. You don’t want your removal spell to give your opponent a piece of material back. The similar card Unable to Scream in Duskmourn was much better because 1) it removed all the enchanted creature’s power, and 2) there were a bunch of enchantment synergies in that set.
These cards are never as good as they seem, Unable to Scream being an exception because it actually made an 0/2. Look at it in the context of how you use “cheap interaction.” You really don’t want to cast it on a 2/2 like you would with Burst Lightning or Stab, so it fails at being efficient early game interaction. Casting it on a 3/3 is still underwhelming, like a poorly used Dead Weight. So it’s only good against larger creatures or utility creatures, but it also doesn’t deal with +1/+1 counters or bounce/sacrifice effects. It has it’s moments in the right matchup but overall leaving your opponent with a 1/1 is too much of a downside.
@@dear1337er I agree with a lot of what you're saying but I think in this context, the last one he saw especially was worth a second look given the paucity of other removal. It's also worth noting that as creatures have become more powerful over time, effects like this get a little bit better. You just really want to have some kind of way to stop your opponent's rare that wins the game on its own if left unanswered, even if it's not the most efficient.
That game you were stuck on three lands- That is about 60% of my games. 30% of them i am flooded. And 10% of the time the opponent just has every answer, literally flopping off the top deck. Im chilling on this game for a while. I must contemplate the statistics my tracker shows me and wonder why this game hates me so much. Literally makes me want to go back to mtgo.

@@armedjoy3045 That's exactly the worst quality about Magic. 30% of games are non-games because either you or your opponent flooded or screwed despite a properly built mana base. And it's irrelevant to keep parroting "Bo3 is the real format" when the ranked format in this game is Bo1 only.
Congrats on resolving the splinter twins!
It's a winning move!

I gotta say, the art in this set is pretty superb
there's a mark poole racoon token lmao
the Paolo art on Hungry Ghoul is great. so old school

The casual Cheon burn...😂
This title is Chefs Kiss
Really enjoying the commentary, really helpful. Pilfer makes the cut because of threshold?
I ask you now so that you may consider it before it comes up. Which one dresses as Stangg and which one dresses as Stangg Twin on Halloween?
Or for a more recent reference, which one is the human Unsettling Twin, and which one is the manifest dread?
Gz to u and fam!!

Plus, idk the set, but I suppose Zombies is the UB theme ?
really stung by the lack of removal
Run away together is busted in two headed giant. Had 3 of them in my deck for prerelease. Time walk for limited

Yes, should be templated like Tragic Slip.
Third foundation draft ive watched and 2 were UB and one was WB im thinking black is pretty good
Drafted a very similar deck yesterday and it felt quite weak. Suspecting UB Zombie is a bad
Can someone help me understand why witness protection wasn’t taken higher? It seems like a great cheap interaction.

Put all these comments together and you reach the truth - it’s a card you can play that can be good, but not a card you’re excited about.
Congrats on the twins! Also, I would love to see a draft by Red/White/Boros Aggro Man.

Well there you go
What rights are we talking about? Govt subsidizing gender surgery?
Just flat out losing say 10% of games because you get flooded or mana hosed really turns me off playing Magic
Have you considered you're winning 10% of your games because the opponent is doing the same? That's why best of 3 is the real format
@@armedjoy3045 sure that may be true but it doesn't make those games fun
