I spotted this stunning ASC2 Sport on the AC Schnitzer Instagram a few months back, ever since I've been finding an excuse to pop over to Aachen and drive it! When I decided to do the Autobahn run in the new AUDI R8 V10 Performance, I asked the AC guys if they had their mega M2 Competition available... Patrick and I used this car for tracking shots with the R8 and then shot this the following day. Massive thanks to Oliver from AC Schnitzer too, he did a 5am start on Easter Sunday for our high speed R8 tracking runs, legend!

Good vid Joe,respect! I just bought an m2 and spent a fortune on tuning it. From that money an m2 competition is almost at the same price level but because of it's exhaust noise(not sound) i picked the old m2. Just listen to that cold start. Like a lawnmower. Even after reconsidering the tuning potential of the s55 vs n55 i still picked the old m2. Call me mad, i am an exhaust sound guy.
Not only that, you’re going for a lighter and smaller car, also the N55 is more beatiful ;)

At 10:37 - With a tune it's around 650 Nm not 550Nm!!

I just bought a long beach blue m2 comp 2 weeks ago. Nice to hear your fans running, and brakes squeaking just like mine. I've been overthinking/obsessing over those sounds the whole time! lol. Great video love the color!
I think you got the torque figures wrong, Joe!
The standard M2 Comp is rated at 550 Nm, while the ACS tune rates it at 650 Nm, which is quite a lot for a car that size! :)
Would be interesting to find out how fast it would do the 0-62, with the added power and coilovers.

The M2 is a phenominal track weapon
I understand the modding bug but the stock BMW M2 Competition is one of the few that is damn near perfect as it is. Seriously, it is the most purest hardcore full “M car” BMW has made in a long time as it has the right size, balance, power and handling.

I've owned an M235i and M240i and they are both epic cars. I've never really understood the limits of these cars though and I think when they go they really go, there is no under steer at all to warn you when you are reaching the limits of this car. If it's going to get you it will be on a long sweeping bend if you accelerate too hard. That said I've gone into a slide a couple of times and the car recovered well once I came off the power. I have not driven any other high performance cars so have nothing to compare it to. Still an amazing machine and unbeatable for the money.

Shehroz A It is dialed way back now until fully warmed up which means no burbles, pops, and cracks until It’s warmed up. All new performance vehicles are doing this now with the filter. The new Porsche 992 C4S sounds even more quiet and no crackles.
TheMystro1971 im not retarted, i have a bmw myself. It was a poor attempt at making the exhaust sound louder by cold starting in the garage.

I would like the suspension upgrades, maybe some light tuning (but I'm always weary of it) and brake upgrades on ma OG M2 (already have the M Performance Exhaust & M Performance "race" wheel) but I don't think I would want any of their aesthetics to be honest.

Any suspension specific videos coming up Joe? A recurrent theme seems to almost be put good aftermarket coilovers on from KW, ohlins, bilstein or AST and you can't lose the car handles better thereafter (within reason ofc). This begs the question, are the stock assemblies just not all that then?

Yep. It's not hard, the 135i / 335i N54 306hp with a tune gave 100bhp and the S55 is basically a derivative of that engine.

Bulent Ali ACS has their tuning box which you can order online. It's not an DME Flash.
The tuning box costs around 3 000€.
Heavily debating trading in my E92 M3 for an M2 comp.
Th M2 is the closest thing to the M3,shame it doesn't have the same configures as the m2c,but still an epic car nevrtheelss
