    My tip for everyone is to get familiar with messaging customers, either sending an update when you pick up their order or when you're parked and ready to deliver it.
    I recently had a stacked order where it marked both deliveries as complete after completing the first one. Thankfully I already had a customer chat open for delivery #2 and was able to ask them for their address to complete the order.

    My advice is stay in an area you know extremely well, in my doordash area I only deliver to maybe 3% of the total land area. I very rarely go 5 miles from my house. In my doordash area my town, although one of the smallest in populations (around 13000 people) has the highest GPD per capita of all the towns and cities around me. Where I live is centrally located. A good majority of people here 80%+ tip, around 20% tip very well. All restaurants in my town that use doordash are within a mile from my house. I personally know one person that works in at least half of the restaurants. I usually am in all of the doordash restaurants at least once a day. I am getting to the point now where at least half my dashes are done at locations I have dropped of before. Once I accept an order, I go to the resturant, pick up the order, click that I have picked up the order, then screen shot to have a record of the customer and address. This is my personal receipt. Then I send a text within the app to let the customer know I have picked up their order and give them an ETA based upon weather conditions and/or if they are in line of a stacked order. Once I am done delivering my plan is always to drive straight home. If another order comes in while driving home that meets my requirements, I will accept the new order and go to the restaurant. I do not chase the fires. I did this the first couple weeks of DD when gas was $6 a gallon, and all I was doing was running in circles burning fuel. Most of the time when there are fires in my town my home usually sits within 500 feet of any diamond zone. By doing this I can usually have delivery turnarounds of under 10 minutes, unless of course there are certain restaurants on certain times of certain days that are busy with long wait times. I can easily make $500wk, if I work 35 to 40hrs I can have $1k to $1.5k weeks. Like big daddy dasher said, do not rush, find a good strategy

      Thank you so much! I dashed for the first time last night. It was a pure adrenaline rush because I didn’t know what to expect.
      My geographical area is much like yours - smaller city, 1 mile from the strip of 10 or so restaurants (I’ve never taken the time to count them). I was excited and accepted a stack order at 5:36 PM. I dropped off at 6:00 and reach my home at 6:30.
      It was fun and exciting - I made $48 for 1 hour and 48 minutes of active time - but I wish I would have taken the time to look at the mileage instead of adrenaline taking over and clicking “accept” 🤣 It was worth it but 30 minutes back home in the dark on winding roads … live and learn.
      You shared some awesome tips. Thanks!

    It's good info, you present well. Well, the GMC Yukon, thought could Dash in, mostly died, other day, $7000, estimate for transmission, of course, Yummy 😋. But, lady friend had Extreme help from an employer, so New Chevy Equinox, may be available to Dash,; somewhat, iffy, to drive brand new vehicle, not mine. So, overcoming stress, uncertainty, gaining confidence with restaurants/ customers, is the whole thing it seems, Nike used to say, ' Just Do It'. Thanks. Louisiana Paul

    I live in NYC and Uber Eats treats me way better than door dash. I go door dash and get Taco Bell, Wendy's, Mcdonald's, and Burger King all the time. So these stores made me wait 30+ minutes. As a new door dasher, I was trying to get my first few deliveries done to get on track. I ended up coming late every time because of the insane wait time. I tried to cancel door dash orders to get a better a different store but continuously getting the same stores even if I cancel it with "I don't like this store"
    I tried doing Uber Eats and managed to get close to 200$ in 6 hours doing it on a bicycle and around 50$ in 2.5 hours by walking.

    Question, for E-Bike users, i was thinking of modding a 36 Volt bike battery with a 40v (is actually 36v) Ryobi batteries. The reason is because of many orders, bike batteries don’t tend to last long. So was thinking of taking 18v inverter (Ryobi 150 watt inverter) to charge unused 40v batteries so I won’t stop for a long while (also 18v are cheaper and smaller). So my question is, is it worth it for long runs? Or do the Ebikes last long enough to make it not worth the modding.

    Great video! I'm new to dashing. I already have an umbrella LLC. I file S-corp. I'm sole member and I'm my only employee. Do you know how to get Doordash to to send money to my llc instead of to me personally so I don't get a 1099 at yrs end?

    • @Eddi3xBac0n
      @Eddi3xBac0n Рік тому
