Its 12/10/2024 and John has left us 24 yrs I miss him and I am pretty sure I speak for everbody here that we ALL miss & love JD Thank you John for All the Gifts you left us Rest in Eternal Peace John❤
A truly remarkable man. His talents, beliefs, protecting nature, sharing himself to the world through his songs, and just being real and true to himself and others, has left an imprint on this world that still inspires people to this day. The world lost not only a talented and loved singer by millions, but also a man of integrity who stood up for what he believed in and was passionate about. He was truly a remarkable man who didn't always get the credit he deserved for touching our lives so powerfully with his music, talents, and staying true to who he was regardless of anyone else's criticizing opinions. I have immense respect for him both as an artist, and as a man of integrity. The world lost an incredibly talented man, but his music will always live in our hearts and touch our souls for generations to come.
I grew up in Colorado and was in high school when he started becoming famous… Years later, I met him in Aspen with his young son, Zach. His father was a pilot and so was he and so am I and I really don’t believe that the airplane crash was anything but an accident. His music is timeless and I dearly love him more now than I did in 1974.
I still can't believe you're gone, It's so hard to listen to your voice so Beautiful and fills my heart with Love and my eyes with tears. I will always Love you , When ever I see an Eagle I think of you flying high and singing your Messages to all below. ❤
I miss John, artist and entertainer a man I knew through his lyrics, music and T.V. appearances. His words, his voice his activism such as ecologic interests before ecology became popular helped define him as a humanitarian. I will always have a soft spot for this song, lyrics and music. Cheers to "knowing" Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. Long live these recordings.
Saw him in the front row 3 times, once in the third row and in the lobby of the Adrian College auditorium in Michigan after one of the concerts there. He came out to greet some middle schoolers and their families as they showed him their huge wildlife mural they panited for the college. I regret that he never lived long enough for me to take my kids to one of his concerts:(
John Denver was essentially the musical equivalent of Steve Irwin the crocodile Hunter they both of them rest in peace John 1943-1997 and you too Steve 1962-2006

John lives in each and everyone of our hearts forever I listen to him everyday 21/5/2024 Thank you John❤
Totally agree with everything you said. Miss him so much I often cry while listening to him sing
He usually played this song with a twelve string guitar. It still sounds great with a six string and no mandolin or flute accompanying him.
that ringing 12 string Guild guitar
If ever there even could be a favorite of John's songs, this would be it, and yes, he is singing here better than ever. Beautiful. Miss you, John.
Makes me sad because he is no longer with us. Rest in Peace John.
