I think it would be pretty cool to take off the fifth wheel and put a flatbed with ramps on the truck. You can deliver bigger tractors locally on it and also a cool way to haul your side by side.
Brother u brought back so many memories for me with this truck. My dad had an '87 cabover White GMC and an '86 conventional. Damn so cool I gotta come down to Dade City and see that thing in person. Awesome job man!
Well that was educational. The white truck is now ruined and Blue Collar is now a parts truck. When you first came back Bruce it was a welcomed change but you seem to be back to your old ways of never finishing a project and just randomly uploading content for the sake of uploading. Its a real shame.
@Pete: I think you love these rare cabovers and would put it back to former glory but he is the owner and give a shit of it. Otherwise he would not manipulate the injector pump only to make it more dirty smokin ´. Technically smoke doesn’t increase Power to a Diesel and loud exhaust doesn’t increase the power to a gas engine. Both only showed that the center of the hips wanted an upgrade..
I still say throw a heavy duty roll back on this bad boy, would be a versatile work horse, and be a bitchin way to tow stuff around for the company / yourself. Keep the Pete for the other work 💪
Brings back a lot of memories for me brother my dad drove an old road commander I rode a many a mile as a kid in that old truck wouldn't do much more looks wise other than the aluminum buds and that would sure set it off very cool truck man.
Hey man I've been busy seen the reply back glad you liked the comment about the old cabover it's a sweet little truck man. I like those old trucks been around them all my life and drove since I turned 18 I'm 48 now still drive part time but mechanic on rental equipment full time now watch your videos when I have time you do some cool stuff brother love ole blue collar that is a sharp old freightshaker and that blue Pete you got now is sweet you know what they say they ain't no better feeling than petermobeliing well got to go bud time to eat dinner.
Stop being such pessimists. He bought it he can do what he wants with it. It's not like whistlinDiesel who literally kills brand new cars and trucks. Bruce at least gives these Old Trucks some love
Hey Bruce can I give you a big Tip when exiting the Cab tell your driver's to turn and climb down do not jump out. as I for one am suffering for it now my lower legs are shot I did this for so many years I stuffed my feet I did Farm delivery for the Shell Oil Co NZ and with all the gates to open and shut was a nightmare . But boy she's a nice looking truck
I can agree with this. my knees and hips and lower back are all suffering now because of doing exactly that. I cringed when I saw Bruce jump out and thought "don't do that" especially as he has kids he will want to run about with soon and won't be able to if he messes up his joints.
Bruce has got that Freightliner Fever now.🤣 That Cat sounds pretty amazing with the straight stack. It would be interesting to see how he pulls a load! Nice truck, Bruce!😉
This truck would be a great Rollback. Our company did a Rollback conversion on a old Pepsi truck and it worked very nicely. They did a great job with it.
While you are adding all the shiny stuff don’t forget the AC and put some good cab lights on and a sick light bar on the rear. I’m assuming a great bumper is waiting.👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
White Collar is looking good can't wait to see it on its new wheels. You outta keep the wet kit and get a detachable neck lowboy so you would get extra clearance next time you put Blue Collar on the trailer.
Really! You spent all that time on the exhaust but cheaped out on the oil change? Then you want to crank it up. I would dump every fluid in that truck and change it along with all the filters. That would be money well spent. Oh and maybe a grease job. Another gem lost to the hackers. I wasn't going to comment but you knew they were coming
Luv this truck but I really liked all his jokes in the video about people complaining that shit was classic 😆🤣😂 and I really hope he keeps the fifth wheel on it and doesn't put a flat bed on it would like to see him put a trailer behind it and use it 👍🏻 such a cool truck
I agree. Keep the wet kit on it Bruce,…finish out dressing it on up with the wheels/tires and use the RGN to do some loads with sir. Sounds damn good 👍 with the single straight pipe! The way that old military truck is, you know it has to have some decent pulling power sir. Can hardly wait to see your next video Bruce.
White Collar would make one hell of a bad ass rollback with a nice winch set up! A tow truck is such a handy thing to have especially hauling tractors and trucks. Good at getting in all them places you wouldn't want to take your pete.
Love this truck. All three of your trucks are great. Show/work trucks are the way to go. Glad you dumped the idea to change Blue collar. Blue collar is a icon to us in Florida.
Friend of ours like 9 years ago bought a white/gmc day cab long chassis cabover just like this truck that was owned by Disney as a lot truck and they took the van box off and sold it. Thing only had like 18k miles on it and was mint just like this truck. Wish I had a picture of it!
If that truck has what they call a pac brake system for jakes. You have to push the brake pedal a little bit to make them work. Our little cat in our kw is set up that way.
Hey former USMC Motor T guys - as a former US Army Grunt, I was curious what the Marines used this rig for. Non tactical vic obviously; would it have been used to haul a trailer full of crates of 40 mike-mike to the Mk19 range, etc?
Well Bruce little clue for clean oil. Use your fingers and if rag cleans fingers, oil is clean. You like unburnt fuel? Add a sparkplug about 4 inches down and shoot flames. Rolling black isn't horsepower. You know that. Ride hight usually done by frame to axle measurement. Or set frame level front to back. Is your clean slate to build on. Have fun
This is unfortunately true. The truck would have had more chance of staying original if the last owner had advertised on more platforms apart from just the one. someone would have bought this gem as a collector's truck especially with its marines history maybe a veteran would have got it. Instead it's gonna be gutted and replaced with tacky chrome crap. I thought the exhaust being replaced was ok as exhausts do rot out and some new tyres but everything else is completely unnecessary and does not need it. That truck is a good show truck as is. People will appreciate it for it's originality.
With as clean as that oil is i would have done the same thing with just changing the oil filter and let it roll with that oil. Great looking old "Crackerjack / white collar" truck.
Legit cracker box you got there. Sheesh I want it…. It’s just cool. CAT, cabover, jakes. Just a unique old truck. And it’s remarkable how originally clean she is….
It will have gone for a service and a pre-release inspection before it was released to auction... them inspector boys out at Lauderdale are the best at their game.
I was at the pilot truck stop watching Bruce Wilson and two people fighting a girl vs a guy I was like should I call the cops or not or just keep watching the video I was like heck with it Bruce Wilson is way more entertaining lol got to love it
At the first 2 mins I kept thinking the screen size looked messed up because that cab is squashed…..My brain can’t accept it’s not a cab over/sleeper. 🤣
Just watched the video again, the clutch switch, is it wired to the open side of the switch and not the closed side. It would then make a circuit when the clutch is pressed and not the other way round.
Don’t worry about what people in the comments say about what you do to YOUR vehicles or trucks they’re probably jealous or are spending money they definitely haven’t worked for oil is expensive nowadays and there’s no reason to throw away good oil from a truck you’re not putting on the highway every day love your content
Leave the wet kit on it and I will come haul some chicken feed with it. Such a clean Lil rig. Hard to find them like thst. Me snd my brother bought a 90 Internatinal eagle set bsck steer axle and it had 200,000 and I was in shock at how low the miles were in it. It also has a caterpillar. I think it was 290 hp. It was a e model. When u csll snd order parts they told us it should be a manual motor. Have them the vin and dude at international said there weren’t msny thst year thst had computers on them. Was a pretty truck until I totaled it 🥲. I was working two full time jobes and it caught up with me. I hauled feed at night and worked at my buddy body shop during the day.
Does anyone see the irony in White Collar being a day cab and kind of indicating the white collar worker only working a 9 to 5 day? lol
yea cause smurfs work 5-9
white collar is rarely 9-5....it's either a really short day or a really long day :-)
I had that same thought.
@@egomaniac247 shut up
9 to 5 my ass more like 3a-4p😂😂🥲

Good use of the wet kit too!

Black smoke is wasted fuel. The test of the tune is... will it yank a load with little or no smoke. inHISservice, bobr
Sort of defeats the look of a "pristine" rig. Now it looks worn out.
The Jetsons vehicle sound with the scooter😆 🤣 😂 that's classic.

Nice work and nice truck. Do the rig the way you want. If it were to ever go back to original, just save the parts and they can always be put back on
And thus begins the end to this once beautiful machine . . .
Won't be long before its a pile of junk
Yup!
Hopefully he gets sick of it like the rest of his projects and sells it to someone that actually knows what they are doing.

The Jetson sound effects during the scooter rides must become a permanent part of the vlogs. 😂

“Let’s gum it up with a bunch of incomplete combustion”
Classic "Cracker Box" Please don't ruin it with all kinds of chrome.
