I know you've done tours of your parents' garden, but I would love to see a small tour (with your mother and you) talking about some of her and your favorite places/plants or memories of planting and gardening. I particularly love her patio area! I always want to look around there more when you're filming there. So much eye candy and peacefulness! Even just some of ya'll sitting and talking about gardening, maybe with little Benjamin puttering about with his trucks. It's all such an inspiration to us. Thank you for all you do!

We just started breaking in the earth at our new 81 year old cottage. It’s such a thrill to walk around and look at previous foliage that’s been planted. It’s like a meet and greet!😊 Your Mother’s Home is relaxing and beautiful on so many levels!! Thank you for sharing!🌷

It's always a treat to get to see your parents' garden, especially at the height of summer. It all looks so inviting. I'm not sure I could have resisted jumping in the pool. Laura ... you amaze me with every video ! You’re in second trimester and your energy level is just phenomenal!! The bending, lifting, cleaning ...wow girl, and you ain’t in your 20’s !! Oh, I miss my youth and energy level 😢😢 A farmer and dedicated gardener don’t rest. It must feel so good at the end of every day to feel so productive and have none of the silly 🙃 office politics that just ⚡️ zaps our energy and rob us of our joy. I find the joy of growing small plants and watch them grow in 2-3 years. I haven’t bought big plants in years cause the joy is taking care of them from their small form. Same with planting annuals and perennials. I so enjoy watching your garden and your mom’s garden grow . Just celestial!! 😇😇😇 . Praying that you have a healthy happy baby girl 💕. One like you ! Looking at your parents property, we can see why you love the things you love...it's all things you grew up with. We are all just a product of our parents, aren't we.....
Every time I see your parents gardens I think " I can see how Laura got to where she is today in her gardens with such a beautiful example set! So very sweet of you to do some things for your parents while they are gone. So many families these days are so different.

So nice that you do that for your mom. My mother passed away in my early twenties and I get great joy of planting plants that she had inher garden, such as Swedish Ivy. Every time I see Swedish Ivy, I think of her.💔

What a BEAUTIFUL place you had to grow up in. Lots of hard work and commitment which molded you all into the hardworking caring lovely people you are. I love all the different levels and hiding spots in your parents garden. I would LOVE to sit on that bench and watch the water. I would probably lay down and have a nap.

As a younger person, I always enjoyed cleaning my grandparents' home more than my own.
It's always enjoyable watching someone else do gardening chores, helps me procrastinate from doing my own. And your parents' place is always a treat to see.

You are so sweet to do these things for your parents. Both my kids have recently moved their families in 2 different directions and I guess I miss having them here so bad. When we go away for the weekend or a couple days it was always wonderful to have one of them check on things and water for us. Now we manage those tasks differently. Their garden is so beautiful. I used to hate shade in my gardens, but the older I get, the more I love it. This humid Texas heat is terrible. Take care and God bless. 👏🏻💕👏🏻

It's nice that you still love going there and helping out.The topiaries turned out really nice. If I tried something like that, it would be like using the #1 on the clippers when I cut my husbands hair, there wouldn't be much left! LOL! That pool looked so inviting! i love your parents' place... sooo peaceful and serene and the nature noises of the doves and the chickens and the cats and the plants and ohhhh, i could be so happy walking around there.. i know what you mean about those winds, too... the heat is bad enough but then you get the winds and stuff just gets "crisp" so fast.. we get the santa ana winds (aka devil winds) in the fall and spring and that's what fans all those big fires we get here in socal you are so sweet to do these things for your parents, how nice to see such love between everyone.... thanks for sharing them with us!! hope you had a nice glass of iced "something" when you got home....thanks for the video!!

Dear Laura, YES!!! Potting shed is on my wish list. I love cleaning up and trimming as much as planting. You are such a good daughter .Second Friday of the month is "yard debris day". My small town picks up yard debris once a month April-Oct. chops it up into mulch. Offers it for free down by the municipal buildings. I have a medium size yard so it is a BIG help. Gotta go and start my morning cleanup. Cathy M/PA
I hate leaving my garden in the summer. But living 10+ hours away from any family make it so we travel in the summer a lot. I wish I had someone like you who could come and let my plants know they are still loved while I'm gone. Last year I lost an entire lilac bush. This summer with our better watering system, I haven't lost anything yet. 🤞🏻
I love so much watching videos from your parents' garden and 'stealing' ideas. I know that you have covered quite a few subjects about general garden maintenance and operations, but I would be interested in the different ways you dispose the garden waste. Composting is one important part, but I find that there is a lot more waste (including weeds and diseased stuff), tired soil, pruned and died out trees, etc. I find myself with an ever growing number of piles and don't know how a well organized garden like yours manages this. Thanks!

I'm growing some ornamental corn called Pink Zebra that I've never grown before. The leaves are pink and green stripes. The tassels are just beginning to form and they are a burgundy color. It might be interesting for saving the dry stalks.
I'm afraid Halloween will be cancelled this year and that makes me sad. (It's my Christmas.)
I am thinking the same. I never have because I believe the raccoons will enjoy the corn and not us but at least it wouldn’t be a total loss.
Kate Hillenbrand me too. I love both holidays, but I LOVE Halloween because it is the beginning of the festivities. I usually start planning my halloween costumes in January. This year has been a real rough one for planning.
I knew there was a reason why I am drawn to your family besides their being plant lovers and all-around good eggs - you guys play CROQUET! It's been a family favorite of ours for over 30 yrs.
Always love seeing your parent's garden!! I think I will need to borrow her style for my deck. The plants on stands and pillars just gives it such a romantically lush look to the 'rooms'. Also, seeing beyond their garden it looks like just miles and miles of fields so the birds must think their yard is a paradise!
