Great tour video, I'll have to watch twice since I'm watching with my three and one year old. You're gonna find out all about that in a little while!

I absolutely love watching your videos! I've never had a green thumb but by watching your videos, I've been able to finally plant some trees, shrubs, etc and keep them alive! When you say "find your happy place" well mine is watching your videos everyday!! So thank you for getting me excited about planting more plants in my yard. But more importantly, teaching me what I need to do to have a successful landscape.
I don't know how you remember all the names of everything you've ever planted! Everything looks so beautiful especially around the Gazebo and waterfall. That would be the perfect place to do fall pregnancy family photos!😍 Thank you for letting us enjoy your beautiful gardens with you!
A fun fact on Gomphocarpus and other MW plants ... it has an heroic place in American history. It was used as a kapok substitute during WWII. The floss, white fluff, harvested from two bags of pods would fill one life jacket. The floss was also used to line flight suits. Please let the aphids have their feast, if left alone, other more 'friendly' bugs will come and take care of them. Which is great for a healthy garden!!
I started looking to see if someone had already commented about this when Laura was talking about the fluff. Such a neat fact and history. I also agree with you about leaving the aphids. We started growing a few types of milkweed in our Texas garden this year to attract the Monarchs, and we have watched the lifecycles of so many little creatures because of the aphids. So many different types of ladybugs, hoverflies, and lacewing feed on the aphids.
@@TheCraftedCloset Yes! It's tough to be patient while the 'good' bugs take care of business, but they always do!! For some it's much easier to just spray something, but then you run the risk of harming all the good insects.
Thanks for a beautiful tour! I love the micro tour idea, too. It's so great to learn about your experience with each plant and what goes well together. Very inspiring. 😊
Three Things I Love About This Video: 1. Two Ginger Kitties Playing 2. The Performance Note on the Gomphocarpus (and Laura's little smirk) 3. Everything Else.
Never too long. I think my favorite spot was the pallet walkway around to the water and the chicken coop. But...🤷♀️ I really love it ALL! Y’all work so incredibly hard to share your beautiful gardens and I truly appreciate it. 💚🍂✨
Splendid! You are so natural, just like your garden. You pick a dead stem off or move something as though you are going through your normal day and it adds to the teaching vibe in your tours. I really enjoy the teamwork you and your husband have in these tours. I use to have a garden cat like Russell. Did not realize how much work a good cat does to keep small rodents, voles and moles, out of my garden until he passed. Keep up the excellent work. I never tire of seeing your tours. I am inspired and going out to plant a new Althea bush, double red.
I am so happy and proud of you for leaving a pest host plant in your gardens...I wish more folks did this rather than spraying and harming our beneficial insects and birds...good for you...you inspire me more than you could know and appreciate your vids...can't stop watching them...you guys are considered family to me at this point!...x
Laura, I know you maybe won't wear a Russell and Cheddar "Garden Answer" t-shirt but those two are so much a part of your guys channel!! Love them so much and I'm not even a cat person but I would definitely buy one!!
Never a lull with Laura! I could listen to her all day! She truly loves what she does! She’s adorable! And Aaron does an amazing job at keeping up with her with the camera! Sometimes I feel like shouting squirrel when Laura is touring. Hahaha…It’s quite entertaining to watch. Thanks bunches guys!
I absolutely LIVE for these garden tours! Laura could post the same exact thing every single month (who am I kidding - every single day) and I would watch them all as if it was the first.. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME! 😂 I love you guys so much!
It’s funny how on other channels, I would never watch an almost hour long video. But Laura videos, I’m here to the end, and love every minute. ❤️ I love your garden tours, I learn so much! Thank you for sharing your wisdom and experience with us.
Anybody else chuckle when she said “Here’s the Gomphocarpus. It performed very well!” 🤣😂 Then she said “Gomphocarpus for everybody in the neighborhood!!!!” ☠️☠️☠️
This is much anticipated and highly enjoyed! If you have time to share your method for saving seeds from some of the flowers in the Cut-Flower Garden, that would be great! Nasturtiums and Sweet Peas and such. You just exude joy when describing your gardens! Thank you for sharing!
I love your garden tour, I love when Aaron shares his opinions, I love that your so giving with your hard worked garden flowers, wish I was on the other side of that sos call for help to cut, I would just cry. Love how your cats could have a video of there own and I'd watch it ☺️! It's middle of October on one of the worst years the world has had and your garden is completely oblivious to everything that is going on! You always have such a positive & cheerful attitude that just makes me feel happy! You are a darling girl and I enjoy watching your family & pets as much as your gardening. I do worry sometimes that you're trying to do too much though. Don't want you to burn yourself out. Good thing you're young 😁.
Good morning all! I sit here every morning waiting to have coffee with Laura. Love watching you, Laura. You are such a blessing to many of us.You are so encouraging and inspirational. Always look forward seeing you in the morning. Is anyone else up before 4:00am waiting to watch Laura. I get a kick seeing the fam as well. God Bless!
This is so far the MOST GRANDEST, AMAZING GARDEN in their own property I've seen in my entire life!!!! WOW!! oftentimes I've seen this kind of garden in a Park. I envy her to have a very beautiful garden.
Lots of amazing changes coming your way! The larger lawn and buried utilities is going to look awesome! So hate to think about your beautiful cut flowers going away due to the cold weather, I’m not even ready for mine to leave. 😕 You should harvest the sunflowers and hang the seed heads round your property for the birds all winter. Bet your chickens love those seed heads too. Mini tours would be incredibly informative, love the garden tours, but they leave me wanting to spend more time in each area.
Laura, I don’t mean to sound dramatic but I would probably cry walking through your Dahlia patch!! They are my favorite flower and to see how beautiful yours turned out makes me so happy!!
Carol here from the UK. I very much enjoy watching Garden Answer, I find it inspirational and you are such a pleasant person to watch. Having watched your Autumn garden tour (garden looking lovely by the way), I thought what a shame it was to see all those rows and rows of cut flowers not being cut. I know you don't want to sell them and I perfectly understand that, growing flowers to sell is whole other business in itself and that is not what your business is about. So, two ideas came to me: 1) you put the word out say once a fortnight or once a month that you are having a pick your own in the cut flower garden and put an honesty box out and any proceeds you donate to charity or 2) Instead of having rows and rows of cut flowers, flower farm fashion a la Floret you could design a cut flower garden where the flowers are planted in aesthetically shaped flowerbeds and walkways which would still provide plenty of flowers for arranging with but any that weren't picked would continue to enhance the space and look like they belonged there and not like they needed to be picked. Think what fun Aaron would have taking aerial photos with his drone😊 All the best Carol
It’s never too long! I usually watch these tours twice - the first time I’m trying to take everything in (or completely distracted by your freaking adorable kitties) and the second time I’m a little more focused on what you’re saying 😁 . Thank you for taking the time to do these, more in-depth mini tours of the different areas of your garden would be awesome, too! You really are an inspiration!
Laura I planted orach this year and was pleased to high heaven with the xtra large green 💚and purple 💜edible leaves and enormous sprays of seeds for the fall flower arrangements‼️ 🍁🌾🐿🍂🧸🍂🐿🌾🍁 Your garden videos are my very favorite. Your family is a blessing to watch how even diverse characters can live from their strengths. Your husband seems like a type of person that needs a lot of upbeat appreciation. And you seem like you love all his hard work 💖
I’d really like to see your raised beds in back of the barn. Are the hops still going crazy? I just love long garden tours! What success you’ve had this year. Your new land did incredible! THOSE FLOWERS! Oh my!! I know I’m missing sweet Benjamin, I just love his take on things. I loved when he smelled the gladiolus and closed his eyes like he was in so much love with the fragrance. I just can’t wait to see him with his new baby sister! He’s going to be such a great big brother♥️🤍
It's funny how much a region's ecology can affect the perception of beauty, like with your Virginia creeper and agapanthus. When we bought our first house last year i started watching your videos every single night. Inspired i bought three Silver Bush and began planting my first garden bed. Later I looked it up and discovered it's a variety of bindweed (which isn't invasive here)!!! I can only imagine it would pain you to read this, if you ever saw this comment. I recall you planted lantana once, which smothers our local National Parks here, and I winced. I'm considering pulling the Silver bush through loyalty to you and your channel 😅!
I agree, we have blue bachelor buttons coming up allover the yard every year. I just mow them down while others plant them. As for the Silver bush, I think Laura would say, if you like it leave it.
In my area Lantanas are used EVERYWHERE... because it's so hot and dry their growth is kept in check, I've read others in the comments say that they are invasive in their areas especially near a consistent water source.
I love the garden tours at any length. It's just a long expanse of joy. I usually get out something else to do while I watch, like my fiber arts. Making many beanies and scarves. Lol
I can't wait until the cool weather starts! Here in Florida, it's still pretty hot and I'm so jealous the northern states are cooling down. This summer was pretty brutal on my plants. P.S. The cats were so adorable swatting at eachother in the back as you were filming lol. Have a beautiful day Laura and thanks for all you share with us! 💕
Your garden is so beautiful! I have recently, since COVID actually, have really been into gardening and learning what grows and doesn't grow in my zone 7. Earlier this summer I rescued two Truffula Gomphrena plants that were dying on the clearance rack at my local Lowe's. Because of your videos and seeing the Gomphrenas I snatched them up and planted them in my small bed around my mailbox. They have grown so much and I am so proud of them! Thank you so much for unknowingly giving me all the confidence to believe I can grow amazing things. You are the best!
On this week's Gardern Answer Highlight, she said there will not be an update. The pots are at their church and with the Covid, it was difficult to tape updates.

Absolutely I just can’t wait to see all the autumn colors 🤩🤩🤩
The Moon Garden is my favorite! I’ve been planning for one all summer. My next year project.
♥️ absolutely
Look at that shot of him sitting on top of the fountain, with flowers all around him. He is precious!!..
50 minutes of garden tour yes please 😍
It's already 50 minutes
I was excited too!
Exactly 😍🥰😀🙏👍❤️🍷 The longer, the better 😊
I know! I love long tours as long as its convenient for them.. I love the content i dont ever get bored! 😍🌿🌹🌻🌺🌸⚘
I love a long garden tour video to loose myself in
OMGosh you do so much everyday, I wish I had one tenth of your energy.
Love your garden. I don’t mind a long tour I feel like I could spend a whole day wandering around your garden listening to you explain everything!
YES on more of the mulch pathways-soft and stunning against the well-established structure in your garden already!
Very interesting. Thanks for sharing
When your babies get old enough they are going to have a wonderful place to play hide and seek😊
Three Things I Love About This Video:
1. Two Ginger Kitties Playing
2. The Performance Note on the Gomphocarpus (and Laura's little smirk)
Thanks for the tour! You should title it Touring with Russell! Your cats are so amusing. I always look for them in your videos. They make me smile!
Finally an hour long garden tour!!!!!!!!Love love love it
Watching the kitties fight was one of my favorite parts of this video!
Always look forward to the garden tours! That ash tree is so beautiful! 😍
Stunning!!! And such a lovely time of day to film.....soooooo beautiful 😍
50 minute garden tour ... put on another pot of coffee!
I absolutely LIVE for these garden tours! Laura could post the same exact thing every single month (who am I kidding - every single day) and I would watch them all as if it was the first.. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME! 😂 I love you guys so much!
Sorry but no one is paying attention to you with Russell and Cheddar back there! 😂
Russell wins! 😸😼
Russel gets more screentime than Aaron! 😂
i know, right???? what tree??? LOL
He was all over this video!😃
What a great addition to the garden tour - cat entertainment!
It’s funny how on other channels, I would never watch an almost hour long video. But Laura videos, I’m here to the end, and love every minute. ❤️ I love your garden tours, I learn so much! Thank you for sharing your wisdom and experience with us.
,, I'm not going to show every variety"
Proceeds to show us every variety. 😂
Laura, you are the sweteest! 💜
Anybody else chuckle when she said “Here’s the Gomphocarpus. It performed very well!” 🤣😂 Then she said “Gomphocarpus for everybody in the neighborhood!!!!” ☠️☠️☠️
You look so great Laura!!! And the garden does too 😊
Never apologize for a long video! I was in heaven watching this tour!!
This is much anticipated and highly enjoyed! If you have time to share your method for saving seeds from some of the flowers in the Cut-Flower Garden, that would be great! Nasturtiums and Sweet Peas and such. You just exude joy when describing your gardens! Thank you for sharing!
She's done a seed gathering video! I think it was just last year
@@AnnaDunlap247Rolltide thank you very much!
I love how the cats follow you and just keep making appearances.. 😂 They're like the Alfred Hitchcocks of UA-cam.
Every morning I look forward to your videos (w/a cup of my Costa Rican coffee) to watch and I know I'm going to be inspired for my tini garden or just to know I'm going to have a good day! Thank you! 😘🙏🤗
I've been an avid gardener for years but have to say your videos have inspired me so much! I get so many great ideas for new ways to plant things from watching them and I love listening to you Laura! You always have such a positive & cheerful attitude that just makes me feel happy! You are a darling girl and I enjoy watching your family & pets as much as your gardening. I do worry sometimes that you're trying to do too much though. Don't want you to burn yourself out. Good thing you're young 😁.
I truly need your energy!! You are always working on something!! You LOVE your life. And it shows.🥰😊😊
So addicted to Laura’s videos, I never miss any. Always a delight! My dream garden ♥️
Mini tours would be incredibly informative, love the garden tours, but they leave me wanting to spend more time in each area.
my day is not complete without a garden tour.
Yayyyyyy in so happy for a tour. What a wonderful morning! I hope everyone is safe and healthy
Good morning!☕🎃 thank you for the endless beauty the two of you provide. Perfect way with coffee to start the day!!
Laura, I don’t mean to sound dramatic but I would probably cry walking through your Dahlia patch!! They are my favorite flower and to see how beautiful yours turned out makes me so happy!!
The cats! 🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂 They just stole the show! How can you even continue talking? 😂
If they keep it up Russell and Cheddar will have their own channel, instagram, twitter account, ect.😀
Think what fun Aaron would have taking aerial photos with his drone😊
All the best
Carol
It’s never too long! I usually watch these tours twice - the first time I’m trying to take everything in (or completely distracted by your freaking adorable kitties) and the second time I’m a little more focused on what you’re saying 😁 . Thank you for taking the time to do these, more in-depth mini tours of the different areas of your garden would be awesome, too! You really are an inspiration!
Today was a sad day in the USA. I'm so grateful for this video to calm my mind before bedtime.
I bought 2 denim and lace Russian sage's this year and I Love them! I can't wait to see their growth in a couple years!
Laura I planted orach this year and was pleased to high heaven with the xtra large green 💚and purple 💜edible leaves and enormous sprays of seeds for the fall flower arrangements‼️
🍁🌾🐿🍂🧸🍂🐿🌾🍁
Your garden videos are my very favorite. Your family is a blessing to watch how even diverse characters can live from their strengths. Your husband seems like a type of person that needs a lot of upbeat appreciation. And you seem like you love all his hard work 💖
I need to see the trees and their Autumn colour!!
Oh that cat 🐈… Russell the king of the cameo ⭐️
These full tours are my absolute favorite! Thank you for taking the time to show us💕
I’d really like to see your raised beds in back of the barn.
Always love these tours! Would also love to see how you store all those Dahlias at the end of the season.
I would like to know too ,those were beautiful, especially the pink and white ones
Where are you located?? Love the tour of your property ❤
😂 Russell is so funny! We can never get enough of you guys and of course your awesome garden!
@@karysmuh there are probably varieties that dont spread now too
I love the garden tours at any length.
‘If you find a job you love, it won’t feel like a job’ (or something like that) What a great example you are!!
Laura-I would love to see a video at the end of the season that recaps your cut garden. What performed well, what didn't, what you learned, etc.
You are the best!
finally! thank you but please do these kind of tours more often, maybe micro ones like you said🥰
I respect how often this lady uploads
Still want to see the how the containers look at the end of the season for yours & Aaron's Container Competition! PLEASE!!!!!😁
On this week's Gardern Answer Highlight, she said there will not be an update. The pots are at their church and with the Covid, it was difficult to tape updates.
@@lucytree7892 o bummer! Thanks for letting us know I haven't finished the recap video yet
@@lucytree7892 sorry I didn't have an opportunity to watch it this week. I have been dealing w/ my Mother getting Dementia so am lucky if I even get a chance to watch her daily videos right now.😞
The gardens are gorgeous. I prefer the longer garden tours. It's nice to see how the property has changed over the years.
Love that you grew your own fall decorations, it’s what a real fall harvest is suppose to be! I’d love to see the decor up on your second floor balcony as well 😍
Thank you! I started watching the year you moved there and it is great fun to see just how much you've improved on a rather tired/aged garden. I love that fall display around the portico/front(?). The cats love to supervise when you are out making a video! LOL They make me smile. Stay safe.
