HOW TO MAKE A OVERHEAD CONSOLE, USING TIMBER DECKING BOARDS

Time to add the electrical accessories we all love, including the trusty Engel I got from the tip. To do this we need a base to locate the switching panel and somewhere to charge all the devices, enter the hardwood timber overhead console made of some old decking boards we had laying around. Using AuxBeams Multifunction switch panel to wire it all up made the job so much quicker and utilising the under bonnet DCS Lithium battery paired with a low voltage disconnect makes this one of the simplest yet most effective 12v accessory vehicle installs I've done!

Nice job, looks good. That silicon matting for drawers and shit would be good on the shelf to stop stuff sliding. The "coke" holders fitted neat too. I've used leftover decking for odd jobs, handy stuff - nice and strong. It would be handy if the Auxbeam had a low volt cutout built in, but that's ok, I'd still like one

Cracking Ep and job, and a lovely bit of Aussy Hard wood is it Brush box maybe. Lovely job on the wiring, Iam not a fan of Digital switching seen so many play up in dusty conditions, Love the tip find Fridge though.

Cheers mate. It was a piece of mixed Australian hardwood decking, quite possibly black Butt or brush box. Bunnings would have a piece.
